The fear that Freza brings is a human fear like that of a conqueror or a colonizer that will take what he wants by any means he wants and by the means that are most enjoyable to him at the expense of others because there’s nothing you can do about it. The fear that imperfect cell projects is that of a loose lab experiment or a unknown alien horror not of this world and whose threat level can only rise by brining devastation among the populace
The introduction of Imperfect Cell is straight out of a horror movie. Especially in the English dub with the Faulconer score, when the music that plays while Cell feeds on that man is... the combination is enough to give anyone nightmares.
I love that you used tfs clips ❤ Taka's delivery of "Hm...enough." is bone chilling. In the actual anime, Frieza is more terrifying imo, but cell easily beats him in dbza. They did an amazing job of keeping the viewer in suspense until almost the moment cell grabs 17. I ofc knew about cell's motives from watching as a kid, but I love watching the characters react to the creepy overpowered alien enigma that came out of nowhere and is just out there drinking millions of people with some unknown motive.
Super Buu or Kid Buu seem to be way more terrifying and not just because Buu is an end Z villain. Super Buu killing the dude that shot Bee was nuts. Go look that clip up if you've never seen it. Way more intense than anything imperfect cell did or could do.
Cell going from crafty bug guy to generic big bad was so disappointing. Atleast the anime added some flare to Perfect Cell personality-wise bc he’s a SNOOZEFEST in the manga
@@mocha13 yeah the anime did wonders for Cell’s popularity, a lot of the filler helped too. This goes for a lot of DB’s villains I’ve found, though anime Zamasu being my favorite db antagonist is a fun outlier - I think they nailed him on the first go whereas the manga came later and made him somewhat less appealing.
@@mocha13 Moro was always a pretty static villain tbf, he was Super’s DKP in more ways than one. He went out kinda lame but he facilitated some great moments so I don’t mind, same philosophy with Buu lol
Buu for me cell seconed..... Inflation nuff said..... U want me to explane ? Ok nothing scares me more then a guy being able to jump inside of u and make u explode slowly 🫠☠️
There’s a lot more wasted time in the original (which I don’t really mind). I can cut it out but then the music sounds a bit choppy. I would make it longer if it wasn’t for copyright lol.

It also helps that a lot of DBZ fans at the time were pretty young which only made it that much scarier.

Cells first form was so guud

I agree. Though I did love his snark.

Honestly I didn’t mind Morro either. Well, at the start anyway. He ended up becoming fairly generic.

Great vid. My favourite villains is between Frieza, Zamasu and Cell.
this is heat

I like how the Cell scenes use the TFS version
1st form cell wouldve been perfect as the main villain too bad toriyama hated drawing the form lol
He hated drawing all the forms. Maybe he shouldn't have added those spots.
My fav Villain Is Goku Black but Cell Is a close second
I love Goku Black but the ending to that arc was really underwhelming.
Of course his introduction wasn't perfect, he was still imperfect.
XD
The only form of Cell I actually cared for. By Perfect he was just another bog standard smug Dragonball villain.
Cell has friza.s dna so its due to that he was cell....
It’s pretty prominent in his third form with the white and purple face.
No why did you use the dub of Dragon Ball Kai and not Dragon Ball Z
