  • It's our anniversary weekend, and we decided to spend it backpacking the Elk Mountain to King's Mountain Loop. We hopped on Highway 6 going west on stopped right between the Oregon Coast and Portland. After a quick few miles, we set up camp along the Wilson River Trail, then hit it hard in the morning. We summited Kings Mountain before 9 am, but the rest of the trail gets difficult. High elevation mixed with technical areas makes for a tiring time. Throw in some heavy packs and we sure got ourselves into some fun.
Overall, the trail was different and exciting. I would suggest doing it as a day hike and not an overnight trip!

Such a great video. I am thinking I need a stainless steel cup like the one on your pack.
