絶滅寸前のアクションゲームというジャンルにおいて孤軍奮闘する「メタルスラッグ」シリーズの第3弾。今作は基本的に「メタルスラッグ2」のリメイク版となっているが、敵の配置を変更し難易度が上がった一方で、その部分を「アイアンリザード」「ドロップショット」などのアイテムの追加、パワーアップ化によって上手く補っており、「よりコアなファン」をターゲットにした内容となっている。もちろん操作方法は8方向レバーと3つのボタンを使用。その他、細かいところではナレーターが変更になったり、ヴォイスの種類が増えていることがあげられる。アクションジャンルの存続が危ぶまれる中、このシリーズだけは何作でも続編が出そうな勢いを感じるのが凄いところ。全6ステージ。

Originally released to improve upon some of the problems the previous Metal Slug game ("Metal Slug 2 - Super Vehicle-001/II") had, most notably its notorious slowdown, this update also implemented several changes to beef up the gameplay, such as new enemies, a different end boss layout and a number of new weapons and secrets. The result is a better game and one of the finest chapters in this series.

why the dude playing marco keeps firing is to get rid of enemies
if you look closely the dude playing fio keeps on going while marco keeps firing in the back to prevent fio from being killed
edit: plus if you look closely they move inch per inch to spawn enemies
that way they wont be bombarded by hordes of enemies
I never knew you can Ride the VTOL while in the Metal Slug.

I though "NoMiss" is you have released all pows, got all points, and revealed the secret path (ex. in Mission 2, you can get more points on the Spinx statues)... but, I think it's just like a speedrun...
"No miss" usually means "no death" in most playthroughs, which this video is.

なんかノスケ戦の背景が暗くなってたりマーズピープルの裏切り演出が改悪されてたりで、差別化を意識しすぎて無駄なチューニングが施されてしまった印象
