Circumstances have been especially challenging around here as of late (omg, if you only knew!), but I took your advice in yesterday's video, and carved time out last evening for our 17 yr. old. We played several quick games, and just hung out and enjoyed each other's company. Of course, I lit a couple "hygge" candles, too, hahaha! At bedtime he said, "This was a good night!" Thanks, Diane! {{{HUGS}}} Now I'll watch this new video while I finish my breakfast & kitchen clean-up...

You look great in your DYT colours and styles! I have been using that system for years and it has saved me loads of money and everything I own goes together nicely in colour and style.

Made me laugh....I, too, have TONS of scarves - 80 plus pashmina's (purchased in San Francisco of every color imaginable) and 70+ scarves (mix of silk, square, long, narrow, large, small, historic) from decades ago in storage in Canada and have to go back to collect them AND worse, I have a Doctor Who scarf my aunt knitted for me in 1975....LOL....we share the same passion for scarves....Hugs
Yes they were Luxembourgish frank and yes Cactus still exists Diane :-) I was so glad when I saw one of your videos on how to dye leather as I had been thinking for a few days I really like a pair of shoes of mine but I don't quite like the colour . I'll be looking into that for next summer as they're summer shoes ;-) Thank you for your videos (a Belgian in Ireland)

Oh Diane, you are making me laugh so much! You sound so freeing letting all of these scarves go. I have never seen you declutter your most favorite thing..clothing..so joyfully. People at the gym probably wonder why I am laughing while rowing ;) I am a type 2 with a secondary 1. At least I am fairly sure about that secondary. Anyway..the silvery glittery scarves and all of the grey are soooo me. I wish I could come to your clothes swap party, heehee. I own one scarf and if I can motivate myself, I will take a photo of it and post on IG~ tealoverjb~ Isn't it freeing to let things go when you know that you do not have to over-think it? Every time I see scarf and declutter I stress, but they are getting easier to watch, maybe I will be able to de-clutter mine yet! lol. You kind of touched on how DYT deals with different seasons, does each type have an assigned color to take the place of all the black we tend to wear in the winter months, or do you kind of "ignore" seasonal changes and focus more so on your color cards? Also, loved your Instagram post this morning about the internet browser, that made my husband literally LOL, he works in IT so I'm sure he is going to repeat it. On his train ride home from work yesterday the train hit a truck that went around the guard rails and the person was killed so he was sad this morning and your post was a much needed pick me up....thank you! You are the best cheerleader ever!!!🎉. Have an awesome week. 🤓🌻

I started to watch the videos about, Dressing Your Truth. It seems overwhelming and a little hard to figure out my type. I've read the color Me Beautiful books. They have the summer, fall, winter and spring colors and if your skin has yellow or blue undertones is how to choose colors for yourself, but Dressing Your Truth seems to go deeper then just fashion.
I was confused so I bought Carol Tuttle's book and everything became clear. You do have to read all the types to understand, so just read all of it. My copy is loaned out right now. Maybe you could borrow a copy, too.
I spent a lot of time over the years sorting, organizing and trying on my scarves and ya know, I finally donated all of them--except for the wool one for outerwear. Some of us just don't wear scarves; we get them as gifts. Watching you is so much fun. PS I read that T4 wears stripes and T1 polka dots. Does this help?
I wear both polka dots (my type 1 primary energy) and also enjoy stripes (my secondary type 4 energy) 😃

Just wondering about your beloved black leather trousers, will you keep them? I feel if they are on your lower half they are ok. I don't think you need any system you already knew what suited you. Also when we are in the depths of winter ( I live in Scotland) it would be a bit laughable to be in bright trousers. I can just hear the comments if I did. It would surely stand out in the sea of black and grey. Really enjoy your channel, have been binge watching since I found it. Regards Jean. X
Hi Jean! I already replied to your comment but did you delete it and repost? Anyway, here goes again! Yes, of course, you wear what you want, there's no Dressing Your Truth Police! LOL! I'm keeping my black leather trousers/boots. If you've seen a lot of my videos/Instagram posts, you'll know that my everyday year-round "uniform" has always been darkwash blue jeans (bootleg, skinny) and that fits right in (type 1s can wear lots of dark "tints" and all sorts of navy blues/browns). So, don't worry, I'm not going to be parading around here when it's minus 10c outside in pastel pink jeans... 😄
As we here in Texas are bouncing back from the massive hurricane from last year I feel like I want to get hold of one of these books to see what it thinks I am!! I am only keeping things I really love wether it be clothes, dishes, towels etc! This storm has really changed my life in many ways. I would love to know what colors suit me. I am not one to even wear makeup, I am hot natured and it is HOT in Texas so the least on my face the better. LOL! I am really a plain Jane!

Well. I have a drawer in a bedroom chest filled with winter scarves. I kept thinking if I wore a different lipstick, a scarf color might look better on me. Hahaha I will be approaching that drawer soon!

I will do everything but what I need to do and procrastinate for weeks and days . Plz give us some help on how to change my mindset. I will do all other chores just to avoid it ( usually it only takes 15-30 Min )
You dress so well !!! I too have things that I have for years for storage and I might change what I store in it but storage items typically don’t get bad easily
You hit the nail on the head...it's the mindset! Tell me the truth, are your using a timer - setting it for just 5 minutes and starting the job, knowing that you get to stop when the timer goes off? It's starting the job that is the hardest. Write back and let me know how it goes! ❤
Diane in Denmark i will do everything to avoid it . Today I finally did it as it was due . I need to try the timer method but it’s not housework it’s usually more like calling someone or doing something new
I have gotten really good with chores like I will do it when I need to or within a few hours or a day . The house is in good shape as I former procrastinator/ hoarder / messy person I was 2 years ago
USE the timer! 😉I also use it for the tasks I dread (for example, I'm an introvert and hate making phone calls). I set it for 5 or 10 minutes and tell myself, in 10 minutes this will be over! LOL! Good luck and keep going, you are doing really well!
