      Quite often it can come down to the colour of your tank decor, and food, the ones I had in a very pale tank almost bleached themselves, but the darker gloomy tank that is fed all live food still look amazing, when I merged them into the gloomy tank the bleached guys have coloured back up

      These are probably wild caught as adults. Most clown loach raised in captivity have bulkier, shorter body while the ones that grew up in the wild have longer, slimmer, slender bodies.

    I’m addicted to clown loaches, I have 31 in my 210g/75g sump set up. 3.5-6.5” mine don’t allow plants in their tank though 😅

    • @rembrandtshadows
      @rembrandtshadows Год назад

      do you feed them lettuce and other munchables?

    • @robertjohnston25
      @robertjohnston25 Год назад +6

      @@rembrandtshadows I used to feed romaine for a bit, but a lot of pieces would end up floating up to my overflow so I stopped. Also a very low nutrient feed so I’m not missing out on much. If I’m going to feed a veggie it’s usually zucchini, occasionally cucumber or peas but those are more rare.
      Generally they eat a variety of frozen foods from the grocery store; salmon, tilapia, shrimp are my main 3, sometimes mussels and I’m going to try rainbow trout soon. From the LFS I grab bloodworms, mysis shrimp, & krill.
      Aside from that, some Northfin Pellets and recently Repashy. 😅 sorry for the wall of text, food is a favorite part for me.
      Edit: I tried feeding a lot of veggies to help keep them from the plants in the past. Things like NLS algaemax and other fresh veggies and it didn’t seem to help. 🤷‍♂️
