Been paving for 45 years. This is the first video on paving I have seen where they actually knew what they were doing and did a great job !!!
Glad to hear that! It was fun to watch 🤘
Looks great. I'd like to see a fleet update and general maintenance video.
Thanks! I've got some new videos in mind coming soon!
It looks beautiful. Thanks for bringing us along
🙌🙌
Nice upgrade to the property! They did a very good job on that driveway and that helps the look and value of the property. Wintertime will be much easier to get through.
Agreed, thank you!
you got a heck of a deal we just had a 14,000 sqft parking lot paved and were charged 70k. Looks great!
I thought so too, thanks!
@@Kordarewhat state are you in? I’m in TN. I need this deal!
I love your videos! Your videos are always well-made and share great information - the house is coming along!
I appreciate the support!
It looks awesome. Whatever you decide to do next, I’m here for it.👍🏽
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Great job, the drive looks awesome now. Love to see some more car build videos.
Thanks! Coming soon!
Looks good man! Really love your set up.
Thank you!
Awesome man! Can’t wait for a deck build!
I've been thinking about that 🤔
Congrats. I Remember when you were starting the shop build Time flys !!
Thanks 🤘🤘
Great video, and a beautiful property!
Thank you!
Beautiful upgrade. I was thinking 25K too so 16 is a bargain.
Thanks 🤘
What state was this in? I was quoted $40 k!!!!
@@Amanah1111some where in mountain area of Pennsylvania
Hey buddy was just thinking about your channel the other day. Huge congratulations! Very expensive but very worth it! Damn 16k though, I would have guessed 25 as well! Beautiful
Thanks a lot! I'm glad I finally decided to get it done 🤘
Beautiful. Looks amazing.
Thank you!
That turned out great!
🙌🙌
Great addition! I'm sure it will make biking easier too.
Definitely!
Be careful of the Ivy, do mint too, they’ll take over and are delicious (keeps a lot of rodents away as well).
It looks awesome!.. I thought for sure in the mid-20 thousands… nice job! 😊
Thanks!!
Came out sick dude! 👍
Thanks I love it 🤘
Turned out awesome man
Thanks dude!
Came out really good.
Thanks I love it 🤘
Looks great!
Thanks🤘🤘
Awesome man!
🙌🙌
Looks great, hope you work on the upstairs master bedroom next.
Thanks! It's on the list !
I just laid recycled asphalt on my driveway in May of this year. They quoted me $9,000 for recycled asphalt and $15,000 for hot. Huge difference in quality, but as you mentioned, I’d you are laying either, you have to have a backfill: or in my case metal edging to keep it in place. Could have done backfill, but thought edging would be a permanent fix so that the water wouldn’t start to drain off in spots and have to be replaced. Asked if I decided to repave with hot if I would be cheaper, and would still cost me what I originally paid for the recycled, since they used 2-3” of mix and it takes the same amount of time and manpower to repave. Recycled is a lot like having a gravel on top of a base. It works, but if it rains, it will develop ruts and snow removal is terrible because you take off the top layer of gravel when you plow. Hot asphalt is the way to go if you can.
All great info, thanks!
I just had my driveway done. It's 1500' long. I had truck loads of crushed asphalt brought in and spread and rolled. Now it's not as smooth as highway asphalt but a decent all weather drive now. I suppose around 15000 sq ft of drive and I paid $20K for the job. I think they laid down around four or five inches of asphalt but it's now compressed down some as we drive on it over and over. Now no more mud or dust every trip down the drive. I've priced crushed concrete and iron ore but this was cheaper and much better looking drive. For the last 20 years we've driven on compacted silt and it was like concrete so the base under the asphalt is not going anywhere.
Sounds like a great solution for such a long drive 👍
Pressure washing set-up for outside the garage now that you have all the space. Driveway looks great glad the cars belly's are now safe 😅
Haha I actually have it setup right inside the garage door!
Looks good! I’m jealous!
Thanks a lot! Lived with the gravel for 6 years...feels good to be done with it.
Wow, you got an awesome deal and it looks great! I was expecting $30k
I was expecting much more, and was thinking to only do half. Pleasantly surprised by a quote for once 😂
Looks beautiful man.
Thanks a lot!
looks killer. nice job
Thank you!
Awesome video as always Kordare. The new driveway looks awesome do you have a gate at the begining of your driveway because how great it look people might mistake it for a public road.
Thanks! Oh yeah I've had plenty of people come down, usually they realize half way down and do a burnout in my grass 🙃. I've added more signs which helps but eventually a gate would be nice.
Or maybe just two posts with the name of the house on it and maybe a mail box. That should help people realise that it’s a private home. I think an actual gate would be a pain in the butt to have to stop to open it.
Yeah I do have a mailbox at the end but some people are oblivious to everything
Looks great; I agree with what you were saying about the new grass, it'd be a shame to have that new driveway with ratty looking grass flanking it!
Thanks🤘
Looks great
Thanks 🤘
Looks great. How rural are you?
I’m in rural AZ and there’s always a premium for anyone to come out and do work. Does that affect your decision making? It does mine. We do have a decent amount of locals that have skidsteers & tractors that will help by the hour. I just did 52 tons of asphalt millings along my house going back to my 2500 sqft shop. I rented a 3.5 ton ride-on vibrating roller and did the final compaction myself.
I thought about doing hot asphalt but I was scared of the cost so I didn’t even seek quotes. I’m happy with it so far but it’s only been 2 months or so.
It looks like I'm super rural but I'm really not far from civilization. I'd say go get a quote if you ever get dissatisfied with the millings. Like I said it ended up being about half of what I thought it would be.
Imagine creating a car youtuber neighborhood with a mini track 4x4 trail etc
Haha too bad there's like no RUclipsr people near me 😅
I’ve thought about something like this, the ultimate drivers paradise. Dirt track with jumps, a drag strip, drift track, and a runway on the side 😂 a man can dream!
Looks like a golf course there!
Happy to have some real grass 😅
Your driveway looks great! Are you going to seal coat the original pavement of your driveway? My driveway is only 90' long but 35' wide. I often thought I should pave mine. Chip-n-seal was what I was going to look into.
I may price it out when I get the new driveway sealed 👍
Great deal on the driveway, mine is about half as long as what you had done and I have gotten quotes in the 15k-20k range.
Yeah they said having that good base stone already there saved me a lot.
I was quoted $40k here in TN!
Nice!
🙌🙌
That’s a steal of a deal
just beatiful brother
Thank you!!
I'm curious where you are located as you didn’t mention snow. Also, I heard a good American shooting in the background.
I'm in Pennsylvania!
very cool. thank you. I'm thinking of my driveway and costs in Reno NV, what area of the country are you in?
Pennsylvania. Good luck with yours!
Build a tree house dude. You've got a sweet property and some amazing trees on it. If not that, then do a back yard renovation :) Peace!
I've definitely considered that. I'm thinking of some outside builds coming up!
Looks way better now
🙌🙌
Nice!!!
🤘🤘
Very nice congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
Good call on the ivy. From my experience, you might need more to fill in if you want it covered in a couple years. But looks good man!
Already planted more! Thank you!
@@Kordare another product that would LOVE that hill is white clover.... super hardy, bees love it and with the white flowers it looks nice... project looks amazing!
Thanks! Appreciate the suggestion!
You should add a donut loop for some sweet drifts.
🤔🤔🤔
Looks awsome. Great investment. Time for some burnouts.
Thanks 🤘🤘
Also think about fire engines if you ever have an emergency.
16k doesn't seem to bad for all that. Wonder how much cheaper it is than doing concrete. I've got about a 300ft drive I want to pave
Definitely cheaper than concrete
Gypsys pave the best driveway 💪🏼
I'm very pleased with it 🤘
ok maybe I'm tripping, but I see a face in the pavement at 10:33 about 30' left of the building. Great vid!
Super great price . What state or city is that ?
Pennsylvania
Did you use seed for the grass or pallets of squares?
All seed and straw and a lot of watering
I got a quote for 9500 sq ft 2” thick (all driveway with one width, no wide parking area) and was quoted $12,500.
Anyway, I want to see you seal it yourself and provide the info on material and cost
I likely will have the same company come back and seal it this year
I dont remember if youve covered it, but what do you do for living bro?
I'm a mechanical engineer among everything else I do...
Why do you put the rocks on the side of driveway up near your building?
This is to control the rain water coming off that bank. So it doesn't wash out under the driveway.
If anyone could answer this question, do you have gain a permit for adding a paved road on your property or just go ahead and do it?
I'm 22 and don't know much about property ownership.
Every township will be different. I specifically didn't because I wasn't within 50ft of a township road, since that portion was already paved. Best thing to do is to call your local municipality.
details. How thick is the blacktop? 1" , 2"?
3 inch
If you wanted could you add an extension to the width of your house?
Or extend the living space
Yeah definitely
Kinda wanted to see a geo fabric but that might have been overkill
Never heard of that, I'll have to check it out
That is cheap. I have been quoted $55k for my driveway. It’s 810’ long. What was the company you used?
I used King James asphalt. They did say I saved a lot because my base was in great shape and they didn't need to bring in any stone.
13:00 sorry did I hear correct - 16k for everything?
Yes
very good price. In Poland for this amount of work at least 20k@@Kordare
What state is this??
Pennsylvania
Where does he live?
Pennsylvania
damn only 16k for all that! up here in mass that would have been 20-25k
That's what I was expecting!
crazy but looks so good! my driveway is 1000 feet long and i wish i could get it paved lol. nitemare to plow. @@Kordare
Yeah I bet! If we get snow this year I may need to invest in a plow.....
Here in TN my driveway is long but not that long and I was quoted $40k!! I said no way!
wow 14 was cheap thank you
🤘🤘
LOL i would do the same.
Just to drive like a rally driver on my own property
Good decision
Hahah yesss
should cement that you are going to have recurring costs with paving
Haha you know how expensive concrete would be for this?
i think you didn't finish master bedroom and full tour was 2y ago
Nope mostly because I don't need it yet. I have since built another bedroom and full bath inside.
Now all you got to do is get a dog
No wayyy I'm way too busy to deal with all that nonesense
@@Kordarehe said dog, not girlfriend..ha! I'll see myself out 😂
😂😂
Starts at 5:48
You’re welcome! 😌
Don't worry I'll make a shorter version with less educational value
@@Kordare Looking forward to it! 😄
2 minuttes of video, the rest was just “blah blah blah blah blah”
Haha don't worry I'll make a short version for all the people who hate explanation 🤘🤘
Nice!
