Hey brother you were about a mile from my house on this hunt, thats my dove hunting field!!! That cistern is up high so the water can run down hill to the house or whatever. it was probably filled by windmill.
May have been an artesian well back in the day. The overflow pipe would allow the water to run out the side and water could be taken at the pump if the water level lowered. I've seen artesian wells run for years and suddenly dry up. Thanks for the vid.
these videos inspired me to get out there and start searching all the stuff that's buried in the ground and under water. Metal detecting and magnet fishing are a fantastic way to spend time in the nature, find great relics and leave places cleaner than you find them. Will soon start metal detecting in water.
I was just at Gettysburg last weekend!! Thought of you aquachigger! Went to the museum and saw minie balls and knew what they were because of your videos
That was cool, For a place that had been gone over, and over, and over you fellas did alright. Bet someone was bummin that they had dug there and missed a spur like that. That's the first Ive seen any of you guys pull out of the ground. Best wishes, see ya on the next one.
Started watching you on our History Channel in River Hunters. Very interesting even if the content is repeated before ads, after ads and then the actual footage.
About 63 years ago a guy from Gettysburg moved to my home town on the Coast of Jawja and he had boxes of bullets he found in plowed fields around Gettysburg. Found by eye and not metal detected.
That pump sits on top of a cistern. I have seen domestic cisterns that were larger. There is a site of a structure somewhere. It looks 1890 ish to me. When raising hogs it is good practice to NOT let them have access to streams, if the stream is subject to flooding. Fear of thunderstorms makes them stupid. I know I lost 30 young Sows during a lightning storm and rising water on land. Could also have been an earthen fort surrounded by an abattis.I admit I am completely devoid of a real solution.
So... you were a little off today.... probably tired from traveling.... you were actually supposed to find the spur... Great video keep up the great work !!!
All livestock required by this part to be identified as U.S. Suspects shall be tagged with a serially numbered metal ear tag bearing the term “U.S. Suspect,” except as provided in § 309.2(d) and except that cattle affected with epithelioma of the eye, antinomycosis, or actinobacillosis to such an extent that the lesions would be readily detected on post-mortem inspection, need not be individually tagged on ante-mortem inspection with the U.S. Suspect tag, provided that such cattle are segregated and otherwise handled as U.S. Suspects.
Just think, you got to hunt with your friends and it wasn't raining, sleeting, or snowing. You didn't cut your finger on a piece of glass, or metal, and you didn't twist your ankle in a mouse hole. You did show us a mighty weird cistern and those aforementioned mouse holes and their nests. I for one thought the video interesting, as you never know what you may find, and a romp around a field with friends is always good. It beats a stick in the eye or a boil on your bum that's for sure. Not sayin' I have either, just sayin' it beats being bored and stuck indoors. Thanks for sharing!
I visited there last summer and they said it is illegal to detect there but, they have caught people that sneak in at night. How did you get permission?
I don't believe you can find gold coins out in a field where peasants or farmers once had lived. You need to search around old court houses where attorneys used to hang out. ;')
Yeah... Yeah.... I think... I think... I think that actually was a Pygmy Cambodian finger bone from the well known Pygmy Cambodian Giants from ancient times! WOW!!!
Today was my first day out for a few hours. Didn't find much, but it was at a park by one of the finger lakes up here in NY State. Am hoping to go get some permissions sometime, if my ole bod will cooperate. I envy your energy and flexibility. Keep up the good work tho.
Don't step on the mice, at least while in an enclosed area! My wife's side of the family always blamed "barking spiders", but I've been "stepping on mice" since I was a kid.

Good thinkin! I thought it was for watering animals.
The object at 9:15 is a reins guide. I've found multiple that have the same silver plating on them.
As always, thanks for taking us with you.

Chig, I appreciate you trying not to start a panic, but you well know those bones mark the camp of a herd of migrating samskwantch!
We always learn so much with your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm. 🤗🤗

I grew up a couple hours away from there. My grandparents live there still. I love that area.
Just made my day! Love your humor and great attitude! Thank you!
Cool hunt. Bodies and water was interesting. I like your camo jacket a lot. Fun relics!
Aquachigger is a legend.
Guess who else is a legend?? Me!! Get it? My names legendary explorer! 😂😂😂😂
Very cool place, Chigg. Try to get there sometime when they do the reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg. Amazing to sight to see...

No train horn in this video, this can’t be the real Beau! Imposter!
Look for a old town were they are removing the old road and replacing. So many great finds especially near stores, bars and banks.
Started watching you on our History Channel in River Hunters.

Thanks for sharing Chigg!!!
I was in Gettysburg back in '74 as a kidlet all the way from Northern B.C. Some pretty impressive history.
Beau has such a hearty laugh, I love that!
Thanks for bringing us along with you. Maybe the lucky horseshoe will bring you future luck! Happy Hunting! ~ Gypsy

I remember family members back in the 60s still using old pumps like that, had never thought about lightening. Thanks for sharing.
So... you were a little off today.... probably tired from traveling.... you were actually supposed to find the spur... Great video keep up the great work !!!
Could that piece you thought was a spur be a guide for reins on for a carriage team?possible...
The people under the stairs built that well. The house is long gone.
the US suspect tag comes from ill livestock ear.
Yeah, a diseased livestock would get an ear tag with a serial number
That spur was great! So how would that be saved cleaned and straightened? Or cleaned and left twisted?
Great video! Awesome job!
Great video
Wow wish I knew you guys were there I live 30 to 40 mins away from Gettysburg. Would have come up a watch or helped.
THE RING ,,, ITS THE WELL FROM THE MOVIE!......LOL here she comes!....aaahhhhhh!
what size coil are you using, it doesn't look like the bigger coil
love you Mr chigger
Keep it up and never stop
Great job
I live there! It really is a small world
That old ring thing is probably a reign ring.
Nice spur but you got this horse shoes...🍀👍

What kind of body's were in the well
wow almost a million subs dude congrats. made a new account and havent been able to find this channel for a long time
141 black?
Samsquanch for sure.
Is it ok to search on the battlefield there or is it not allowed?
That big horseshoe might be from a civil war horse that pulled the cannons from place to place ... maybe? 😳😳 (just trying to add to the excitement! 😜)
I've always wondered... What will they think of our relics when they become relics? We could have electric lasers or fire bolts by then.
What’s the date on the copper?
Working on clearing dead Ash trees out of our woods by our planting field today. Another blister added to my collection. Did you ever get yours done?

Is this legal to metal detect outside the battle field
A super video!
What is that musket part called
Beau, what did you have written on your hand? Looks like it said "Hi Dad"?
Enjoyed the video m8 👍
Great video aquachigger what are your thoughts on the Nokta impact metal detector ?
Good morning Mr B.
Where is the spot

Must have felt like getting the wooden spoon when you thought it was a belt buckle first
Love your video
Learning begins when you realize how little you know.
I visited there last summer and they said it is illegal to detect there but, they have caught people that sneak in at night. How did you get permission?
17:30, could that be a slave tag, I thought I remembered Nugget Noggin discovering one similar.
That was my friends wallet we lost riding in that field about 10 years ago.
Have you every found a cannon do you know if anyone has ?
What's a samsquench?
Great watch Beau..'Did ya'14:14 Lmao..well done ARB Mchael
I was just there this weekend
How were you able to do this
I don't believe you can find gold coins out in a field where peasants or farmers once had lived. You need to search around old court houses where attorneys used to hang out. ;')
Aquachigger, what is written on your left palm?
Yeah... Yeah.... I think... I think... I think that actually was a Pygmy Cambodian finger bone from the well known Pygmy Cambodian Giants from ancient times! WOW!!!
did he say "lets drop barak in there" :D
It did sound like it lmbo 😁
Nice spur. As we know, there is always more to unciver
So you write down the address in your left hand..😁lol great video as usual!!!👊
What's on your left palm does it say hi black
The tag US suspect was used to identify sick or crippled livestock
What is the secret message on the palm of your left hand?
I see writing on his palm all the time. I think maybe roads are an address for GPS. Could be where he hides the bodies!
Mr. Aquachigger Sir, have you ever found a gold coin or are you still hoping for one?
Today was my first day out for a few hours. Didn't find much, but it was at a park by one of the finger lakes up here in NY State. Am hoping to go get some permissions sometime, if my ole bod will cooperate. I envy your energy and flexibility. Keep up the good work tho.
hi love your videos
The pump looks like they enclosed a spring...
Does a 4570 case it was used on the trapdoor Springfield rifle it's probably a hundred fifty years old
That well i would say was put there close to a house because you get tired of the the walk to the creek and house is well out of flood plane
top part of a reins guide;];];]
Expert: is a little drip under a lot of pressure.
the letter p on the cardrige does say it was made in germany i believe
