Hopefully Walter's family has learned a hard lesson. KEEP Walter safe behind a secure fence or sit out there and supervise him same as you would a 2-3 y/o.
Fence your YARD!!! And watch your babies! I am so happy these dogs made it back .We need to protect our pets! You don't let a dog loose to sit in a yard unattended !
So happy for Walter and his family...this is why it's so important for families to pull out all stops to find lost pets. A healthy animal at normal weight can only survive just so long without food and water in the best weather...extreme cold and heat shortens that timeframe.
I prayed and prayed for walter to be found, I said God i know you care about the animals to, please bring Walter home, thank you God! I'm so happy his owners got him back safe.
I got the LOVE of my life (Lucy the Pug) after 51 days. I renewed the ad every day on the local channel's website. I cried all the way home, even after parting with the $1300.00 reward. NEVER give up!!
So glad they got their dogs home! 😊 Please, please make sure your pups are fenced, but watch them, too. It's heartbreaking 💔 when they don't come home. Random fact: please restrain your pups in cars. Airbags kill dogs every day - even large ones. If someone hits us at only 30 MPH, the dog becomes a missile in the car. It's bad. (Trying to prevent anyone else from the regret, pain and guilt.) Have a blessed season, dear ones 🌲🐾🥰🌙✨️
Lucky little Walter. Please people it's cold out there, please keep your furry family in a fenced yard, heated kennel, even a leash. But not open to run. Because they are curious! And they will run
Shock collar perimeter is the best invention ever. They learn quickly and are not shocked . Warning beeps and / or vibration. They learn quickly and respect boundaries.
Riley! You gorgous naughty doggo! LOL. Every moment is a new party. OMG Walter! 👀👀👀👀an occasional dash here or there is expected, but.....that is scary. 🫂🫂🫂 AIR TAG. We're getting one for Bowie!
Fences people, fences. Why was your dog 'sitting' out in your front yard, unsecured, where there are wolves and coyotes. Yeah, really a member of your family.
🙄🤦 Common sense: Put leash(es) on them inside house before opening door to outside, even though you are NOT taking them out for a walk!!! Then once you open up your door, hook them up to another leash that is left outside, and disconnect the indoor leash from the collar or harness!!! This prevents dogs from running away, getting lost, and going missing for days, weeks, months, years!!! Take more responsibility for your own pets!!! Irresponsible owners more and more these days 😠😡!!!
We lost a dog one time. I found him in another neighborhood weeks later. To this day we don't know how he went so far. He stayed with us for 5 more years before crossing the rainbow bridge. RIP Baby.😢
My dog ran across the easement road to the neighboring property to visit the neighbor's dog, who was in the fenced backyard. It was terrifying the first 60 seconds I couldn't find him. I take him on a leash when he goes outside ever since, even if he's just getting in my vehicle to go to the store. I never want to lose him! I hope this family is also being more careful with Walter!
Of course I'm glad that both dogs found there way home alive, with assistance. That said, the second story was avoidable and should not have happened. When a dog owner provides their pet/family members with love, safety, food, water, medical care when needed and shelter, they are providing for their critical, yet basic needs. I don't want to minimize those needs as too many pet owners do not provide those adequately. Those not withstanding, discipline is also a necessity. By discipline, I don't mean physical punishment. I mean having rules and being consistent with enforcement of said rules and your pet understanding that you mean it and them breaking those rules is unacceptable. Dogs are like children intellectually. Unlike human children, it's for their entire lives. That doest mean that they think like or process thoughts like a child, and it's not a maturity issue either, it's simply their intelligence. Like a child, dogs will push boundaries and take advantage of you when they can. Have rules for them an be consistent. If you give them an inch, they will try to take 2. Here is my point, you wouldn't let your child walk away from while ignoring you, would you? After all, they might walk into the street and get hurt. The same goes for your dog. The number 1 thing to teach your dog and insist on them obeying is, coming when called. For example, you should be able to call your dog off of chasing a squirrel or rabbit if they are outside and off leash under voice command in a controlled environment. There is no excuse for the pet owner of the German Shepherd mix to not have been able to call her dog back. No excuse!
Why don't pet owners that really love and care for their pets keep them on a leash when outside the home or in a secured fenced in yard? This happens so many times. Some people are lucky enough to get them back. Others not so much. Accidents can happen so fast when they run off and some either get hit by a vehicle, lost, or stolen.
Walter was sitting in The front yard by himself unintended. This happens all the time. When are these people gonna Ever learn Different dog, different place. Same story. But yet she knew there were coyotes there .How about tell people when you got your best friend? Don't leave him alone. Outside?
Irresponsible owners--the dog gets lost not once but twice. Dogs get away generally because they aren't being supervised well enough. Of course this doesn't apply to all dogs--some are true houdinis😳--but it is often true that people aren't paying close enough attention. In this case, the owners are putting an ice skating rink in back yard--are they actually unable to figure out a way to keep Riley home & safe throughout that!!? It really wouldn't be hard to figure out.
Hopefully Walter's family has learned a hard lesson. KEEP Walter safe behind a secure fence or sit out there and supervise him same as you would a 2-3 y/o.
So many stories don’t have such happy endings. Glad these two did

They were fencing their YARD!!!
I'm so glad you got your dog back. They are family. I love dogs❤

Thanks God they are safe and sound back to their families.
Thank you Jesus for having your angels watch over this pup.
These are the sweetest dogs and the best possible kind of owners. So happy they were reunited!

I’m such a pet person. If I found someone’s pet and there was a reward, I would say no.
I saw your story! It was amazing. ❤

I so happy for you! Give Lucy a hug for me! 😊

❤❤❤❤I needed to hear a positive story!❤❤❤
God bless him! 🤍

Walter 💛
How precious! I wonder if the other dogs are what interested them or Santa himself 🎅❤🎄
All dogs know Santa is the good guy.
😅😅😅😅😅😅thank god she was safe....❤❤❤❤❤❤
But did Walter learn his lesson?😂❤
Better yet did the owners learn not to leave their dog unsecured in the front yard.
HA! That is so sweet
Tractive has affordable GPS solutions that start as low at $12.99 a month. It's a small price to pay to know exactly where your baby is at all time. ❤
Please stop leaving your dogs unattended. Dogs are unpredictable. You never know what’s going to catch their attention. 🙏🏽

Agreed, people In CA weren't so lucky 😢
People think animals think logically like they do, folks know better than to let toddlers run free (we hope) animals are not much different!
Oh God how cute

Love these stories! Thank you! 🐾❤️🐾❤️
Don't leave a puppy (or any dog) alone in a yard!!!! Love your babies!
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
The dog had plans for this weekend 😂
❤❤❤
She had to tell him she added a few more things to her list. 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a Floridian, how in the heck do you put in a backyard ice rink?
😂❤
1) have a backyard. 😂
Basically put in a shallow pool and let it freeze. In northern Minnesota it won't take long😊
Who let's their dog outside in the front yard without them? She needs to learn a lesson from this and never let it happen again
You also can set radius.
💙💙💙🙏
She likes the greenhouse
❤

I would never ever leave my fur baby alone outside unattended
😊🌍🙌🏾✨✨🐶🐶✨✨❤
There would have been other people, who saw the German Shepard, but they probably ignored him.
dog's will be dogs
*dogs - no apostrophes
@@Mrshoujo Yeah, I was struggling with that sentence. The way it is written reads like "dog owns a will be and dog owns an always".
Woofs AND coyotes? Yikes.
3 hours north? Walking?Running?by car? Airplane?

Is Walter microchipped? I had my phone number on the collar. It would help!
Poor Walter! So glad he was found.
I simply *adore* dogs, and happy endings for them are ALWAYS a magnificent piece of great news! THANK YOU! :)
Yeah - he realized that he forgot to ask for Milk Bones...😉😉😉😉😉😉
They took over all the sofas....ha ha ha....
People : _"I love my puppies to death!"_
Skeptical me : Did you FENCE your yard? Did you get your dogs chipped?
💙🙏🥰🤗🤗
Don’t let your dog run free?
Sending love, prayers and lots of hugs to dog and owners! All angels protecting him!🥰🤗🙏🙏🌺🌲🐕
This is 2024 people!! Put those cheap GPS tags on your pet!
Visiting the old guy?

Get your pets chipped and get a pet tracker for practically nothing........if you don't do that, you really don't give a d*mn aobu your dog.
Watch your dogs, dog theft is rife😢
Trump says certain people out there are eating your pets so keep an eye on them folks.
Woalter? 🥴
It probably wasn't the real Santa. He smelled like meat and cheese.
Lady it's Santa not the old guy, what do you say to your daughter?hey let's go see the old guy?
I am so happy for you that even in a good news story you found something to nitpick about.
@Pam-ov1bv Oh, did it hurt your feelings?
@@barbaranymiel3089 not even a little. Merry Christmas 😺
