If you have a stainless Ruger, keep it waxed! Every Ruger I’ve ever owned - blued or stainless - has been a rust magnet. I love their designs, their reliability, and their accuracy. Sorry your purty pistol started rusting so quickly. Thanks for posting your vids!
I had a trigger job done on it.No trigger made for it yet so my gunsmith (Brian Ott of Douglasville ,Ga.) had to do some modifying on a Varqueson trigger.Shoots great. The blue model has an aluminum frame.Great guns.
Victory trigger Tandemkross, Volquartsen Mk IV trigger accurising kit ... I hope that your gunsmith is a good Georgian and doesn't sell you more than you need. At some point modifying a Ruger is like installing spinning rims on a pick-up truck.
Just got my Ruger Mark IV Target a week ago . Factory trigger on a “ Target “ pistol should not be 5 1/2 pounds with a long pull full of creep . Got the Volquartsen trigger , bar , springs , sear, kept hammer . Trigger now short , no take up, 1 3/4 pounds, as it should be
Sad that the title says "Follow up Function test" ... yet still some people focus on the accuracy of the rapid fire at the range. Literacy people, failure to fire, failure to feed and failure to eject/extract should be your focus here. Great review, the Tandemkross Victory trigger is a great choice with the Volquartsen accurising kit. Realistically, the Ruger Mk IV is a price-point pistol ... it has some very strong attributes, but for the price it is unreasonable to expect that the trigger is match grade out of the box ... Volquartsen have, obviously, upgraded their kits since this video was posted. Between Ruger, Volquartsen & Tandemkross ... there is a really slick option when you start value-adding. If Volquartsen made a target pistol with a Luger style grip (like the Ruger Mk series, less the 1911 style grips) I would buy one. Until then I will just create my own little Franken-Ruger.
Jared Herr I know your comment is 2 years old, but I did put the VQ competition kit in my Lite and a Victory flat trigger and it is flawless! 1.5 lb pull and 2000 rounds and it still works perfectly.
NOT true stainless they add IRON to the mix, which is why its rusting. I had the same problem. Don't make the mistake that advertised stainless stops rust Thompson Center is the worst with there Encores. Actually the blue barrels are better these days. Old saying.. "They don't make things like they use to.
Bro that was a badass demonstration❤

Waxed? Never heard of using wax on a firearm before.
rsalcido Ruger recommended it in their manual. Yep, I’m THAT guy. 🤓
@@gruvyalan I'll have to check the online manual then.
Sounds like 3 steel hits out of 60 rounds, great shootin Tex.

I'm glad I bought the Hunter.
Hows the trigger on the hunter? I pick mine up this saturday
Why? The wooden grips? The Hi-Viz front sight? The stainless finish? Or the extra sight radius? At some point a rifle becomes a better choice ...
Good instructional video.Thanks.
How is this kit holding up, looking to put one on my Mark IV lite with victory trigger.

Send it back to Ruger they will refinish it for you. Great customer service.
my stainless target had the small rust specks on the barrel
