I spent a few years talking, arguing, and laughing on the Sludge boards. Good times.
Thanks for the love and support.
Hands down the best interviewer on YT.. Keep doing this man, I'm addicted af. Seen all episodes, haha.
I appreciate that and thanks for the binge watching! Gonna keep it going for as long as I can
I used to visit Metal Sludge often in the early days through the 2000s. This is a terrific interview. Kudos to Jason and Stevie for their excellent work. I wish I could find my Tuff CD.
Thanks for the props... Tuff CDs are all available at TuffCds.Com come by and check it out!
Ur right Jason is a really good interviewer and it's good that he is keeping this music alive!
Metal edge is awesome. I used to read it all the time. I forgot about it but will have to check it out again.
Rachelle is a cool dude ..he did a story on my band pariah metal sludge rules..I respect him alot actually 🤘
What's up Shandon... time flies huh? I still remember out show in San Antonio, January 1990... which is right after we played "The Backroom" in Austin a week earlier, and Sims came to chat me up at soundcheck. Also, that night I met Annie, who was dating Lee... crazy... hard to believe it's more than 30 years ago!
@@stevierachelle6930 dude totally Man keep doing what yer doing.. your still playing?? Bro I live in Amsterdam now 🤘🤘so Much has changed would love to do another story a recap I rejoined meat puppets made two More lps now I'm solo like Grohl I play drums n play guitar n front my band then in 2019 I got to play during the day ACL Fest ..put out two tribute CDs sahm covers sahm hope yer well my friend. Oh yes Annie dude I have an awesome story what's your email??
Jason Green must find it really trippy and extremely mindblowing that Stephen Pearcy is now reunited with Bobby Blotzer(!!!!),as well as Stephen yearning to reunite the original Ratt band members for both a farewell album and a farewell tour since The New Breed Of Ratt didn't work out for Stephen.
Greatest 80s site ever. Great interview. Love this interviewer.
D'Molls for the win! ;-)
Sorry I'm a little late to the party, but I'm a recent subscriber. There's a ton of good stuff to check out on here!
This was a great interview. I used to be a Sludge fanatic for years. I really liked Rock on the Decline, especially since my band (Medicine Mann) got one of the few good reviews on there.
Keep up the good work🤘🏼
Another awesome interview Jason. I grew up on the music of this era so it's great to hear the inside stories. Keep up the good work.
Speaking of Gerri Miller, I'm pretty sure she did a "The Way They Were" about Tuff. A childhood photo writeup of the band.
She did. Among other features.
I mentioned "the way they were" because I had that copy of Metal Edge. That's where I first discovered Tuff.
Pretty 😍
I loved this part of the interview. Really enjoyed it :) Anyway I would love to see some more new 20 questions interviews cause I have been reading the old ones from archives and they are just fantastic stuff :)
Another engaging & entertaining interview, bravo Mr. Green! Big fan, keep up the great work & flyin' that hard rock/metal flag, brother.....
God bless Jason love your interviews you rock brother we love ya
Best podcast out there right now. These interviews are amazing
Huge Tuff fan. love this guy. great interview.
Huge fan of this RUclips channel, and a huge fan of Sludge. Thanks gents!
Fantastic!, Fantastic, Fantastic! Yet another great interview. I think it’s in my top five favorite of yours. I had never heard of Stevie, but he makes for one outstanding interview. Well done Jason!
Thank you!
Taylor, glad you are enjoying Jason's pod, I am as well, always a good listen!
The term for randoms perusing your site/boards is a "lurker". Rock on Mr. Green! This is my favorite channel on the youtubes!
Yes hit me when I was watching it back
THAT is the exact word I was trying to locate in my brain! Lol, Thanks.
Subscribed. Thank you. Good interview w/ Stevie. :)
Great interview!
C.C. Banana! (RIP)
Great interview!! Thanks
Great thank you
Such a great interview!
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching
I used to check out Metal Sludge for years back in day
I've watched and read a lot of decent interviews with Stevie over the years about Sludge, and this is the best one. I read a statement that Stevie had issued online years ago where he decloaked the identities behind Metal Sludge. Seems like he admitted that Shawn had threatened to expose them online, and Stevie said no, fuck you, I'll expose us. I love Metal Edge and Metal Sludge. RIP Gerri.
Chad: This """"Shawn had threatened to expose them online"""" could NOT be farther from the truth. As a matter of fact, quite the opposite. Shawn wanted us to remain anonymous, and I did not. It was getting too hard to keep the lid on everything after nearly 6 years. Especially doing the business side of things, like; writing checks, cashing checks, income taxes, working with other companies/advertisers, etc.. But, in the end, it's all good. ;-)
@@stevierachelle6930 good to know!
Great interview. Thank you.
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it
Thanks Matthew... ;-)
Great interview Jason
Kudos Keith...tell a friend and feel free to share this!
I went to that Kip Winger/Stevie Rachelle show at the Reseda Country Club. Scored a free CD of Stevie's album there.
You didnt talk about him on decline of the western civalazion movie.. I love that movie!
Can't imagine Gary Cherone is happy with Sludge lol
I owe Metal Sludge more than half of my knowledge of a scene I'll love 'til I die, that happened 6,000 km from where I've lived my entire life and which "ended" when I was between 2 or 3; I say it in quotation marks 'cause as long as there's people blasting Angora's '86 demo on a laptop, though a shit RUclips rip, this Music will never die.
Again, THANK YOU guys SO much for keeping this alive and passing the knowledge. |m|
Enjoyed this
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the props!
Great interview Jason and Steve!
Thank you!
Thanks David!
Glam Rock City star Stevie Rachelle from hell! I love it!.
Chat later this afternoon Curtis!
Stevie.....Letter to Todd...F'n AMazinG.

Have you ever heard the TSOTC episode

Thanks, glad you liked it
Thanks Steven!
@@stevierachelle6930 keep hustling love your outlook in life , no quit attitude
Good job jason
Thank you !
Is that a Joey Ramone figurine on Jason's shelf?
It is
What's up Andy? How is Germany? Hope you are well! :-)
@@stevierachelle6930 All good, thanx. Hope you´re good, too.
Stevie Rachelle is a bad ass! I binge read all 17 chapters of Tuff Diaries in 3 days as soon as I discovered that they exist. FANTASTIC STORY! Tuff music is so good and timeless. They have been on my play list for a very long time. Thank you Stevie for all your contributions. And to Jason, you're an excellent host and conversationalist.
Glad you are enjoying these interviews with Jason, and The Tuff Diaries. For anyone who wants to read them, go here... it's a 25 part series, and 1-17 are published live and linked here. >>>> metalsludge.tv/tuff-diaries-stevie-rachelle-of-tuff-takes-fans-through-his-journey-with-tuff/
Jason, what was your name on the message boards? 😁
I want to know how many of the crue wore wigs?
Been on sludge since ‘98. Left the gossip board over the last 4 years or so due to it being overrun with leftist nut jobs. Went there for music not politics. Hope it returns to form at some point. The main site still kicks ass though and Stevie really has provided us with decades of kickass fun news and entertainment. Dealt with him when he was managing Vains of Jenna and he was just the best dude. Always said he should start a podcast. You two guys have great chemistry and should consider something. Funny thing I remember reading Jason’s fake Ratt posts. Didn’t realize it was the same guy as the podcast for a little while. Anyway.... great interview as usual Jason.
I got tired of the TRUMPTRUMPTRUMPTRUMP crap myself. They talk about righties constantly complaining about Obama but the Trump haters were a million times worse.
@@Yellowtooth1 - couldn't agree more...but, in modern social media, it's almost impossible to escape either side. And I firmly believe, ALL sides are FOS and are flawed. I have Zero interest in Politics.
@@stevierachelle6930 Same. That's why I became bored with Sludge. I mostly visited the Lounge and the conversation was either about tv shows, which I don't watch tv, or politics. Also, the HMZ meltdowns were gone so I had nothing to keep my interest.
I was at that Kip Winger/Stevie Rachelle show at the Country Club. Fun show.
I am pretty sure that was the summer of 1998... just before Sludge launched Sept. 1st 1998.
@@stevierachelle6930 That sounds about right. i don't think I was aware of Sludge for another year after that. I've always liked Harbor Valley from your first solo record. Still do. Just listened to it the other day.
Sludge I meant.
Gossip Girl movie
… out soon
The look of bands like Poison and Tuff is what destroyed the bands back then, not grunge. Everyone got sick of looking at it. I couldn't stand it back then. Looking like a girl became more important than the music. This guy is also a dick for putting certain things on his website. I think he did it to get back at bands who were bigger. Not many people ever heard of Tuff.
TMZ also broke Kobe Bryant's death
Less Tuff no💫
Much better than Tuff
Go Stevia
man, "stevie" thinks pretty highly of himself huh?
Part 2? you act like you're having an interview with John Lennon or Chuck Berry?
