Enfinity has way lower gear than the dusk I fought in my video and is a bit closer to my own gear. He is also still jaded, that seems rather pointless. I can basically AFK tank such DBs now. If he ever switches to deity, sure, otherwise I will win by default anyways, would be kinda boring to watch :(
Yayaya some battle royal compilation for the edge is coming in a few dw xD And you basically overcome the lack of CC simply by overpowering ppl with dot stack damage. Caster are actually pretty easy for an edgerunner. Stacked with mire in a selfbuffed 1v1..the normal 70% pdef debuff is enough to make them explode with shield of halo and so on :D sadly all debuff mechanics are null and void in battle royal but welp.

Yes, CC is still everything in this game and sage lock still has gaps. As for the DB..if a db already struggles to kill like that, if you wanna go all out vs a db you should also use Adrenaline surge. If you can block the sleep as well then the db is conpletely chancesless. DB basically have to go full att shards now, otherwise its gonna be difficult killing some ppl. Or they could get a g17 weapon with Heartbite Rend. That also works :D

Honestly a db player most of the nerfs were not too bad to deal with and most were pretty acceptable like the Umbral Stalker CD, Annular Eclipse to 1 skill, The Moon Chant nerf, and Strength of the Reapers duration nerf because those skills were too strong on their own, and difficult for others to deal with. Honestly from playing it since the nerf the skills that hurt the most was losing the disarm on Slash of Pride outside of the white glyph now for a 2 second disarm in reaper for the flow of the overall lock that db used to have. The teleport nerfs from the loss of the stun on Relentless Drift for the initial engaging and starting of a lock, also having Blinking Moment with a 50 chi cost hurts, this has made it more challenging because chi management is much more required now with the chi costs the skill requires now. All I would like now is to have the passive rework to be reversed like it was supposed to be so db can have some extra tankiness up close which I feel would help deal with some of the post nerf challenges of fighting certain classes like for example like fighting sins and barbs. Like I said even as a db player I understand why most of these nerfs needed to happen because of how overpowering a good db could really be in pvp. Now i'm going to have to work on changing my play style and try to figure out how to run my toon to be as effective as it can be since the nerfs have forced me to use my skills/glyphs much differently than before which should be an interesting challenge. All of these observations are based on my endless hours of db pvp experience that I have done for the last five years straight.
100% agreed. I knew before the update that most people will be complaining about these nerfs because most of them rely on random spam since perpetually locking your target as a duskblade is too easy, only the true masters know exactly what they're doing...and these nerfs merely adjusted some things that REALLY needed adjustment....that ridiculous 9 second disarm being the biggest one. The class is still very strong if played right & needs to be outplayed for a win as shown by my man in this video. Cheers

I agree that db was very easy to just mindlessly spam our cc and stun lock people with little risk and high reward. With this update now there is much more skill required to achieve what this class is capable of and I prefer something be challenging rather than easy to play because that is boring xD. This will also weed out a lot of the band wagon dbs that happened because of how broken the class was so I expect a lot of people to be switching off of db across all the servers, because most of the people that played db pre nerf was because of how stupidly strong the class was.
@@PerfectDak i really like the nerfs they applied and yes, the disarm hurts DBs the most. Still, its not impossible to kill. I personally would go full att shards and grab a g17 with rend and all issues are basically null and void in the killing department. Rend + QUAD kills anything quite literally, even if someone still has a def weap on. The hardest part will be working around weapon procs that can potentially disrupt the flow of your lock but even that is not impossible. I appreciate any DB-player that sees this as a challange and gets better due to it eventually :) PS: Fun fact, after ruby and I fought this DB, even tho he was not bad at all, his locks and such were pretty good, he already sold the char again roflmao xD he jusz should've tried rend because that would've certainly killed me many times.
Increased Umbral CD to 300 seconds, instead of giving chi, paralyze jump now costs 50 chi and they removed disarm from slash of pride. It now only disarms for a short amount of time with the argent glyph on it when you are in reaperform.
Its actually the most important genie skill for seeker. Its basically a must have and needs to be on every seekers genie. What is does is that it costs low energy (needs to stay at lv1), has a short CD and it gets rid of 1 physical AND 1 magical def charm. I use it so I can land more full damage hits and thus its extremely powerful :)
@@JoePWI I see, so basically you use this skill to run an opponent's physical and magical reduction, but I also noticed that it apparently does considerable damage to your opponent when you break his def level, another question: why should you keep it at level 1?
BlackTrad It doesn’t deal any significant damage, its only purpose is to take off defence charms and we keep it at level 1 so it consumes the least amount of genie-energy while serving the purpose. :)

EPW is completely broken and imbalanced. Like I told people before, I am not gonna waste my time on Pserver with completely different metas and destroy my gameplay by getting used to a whole different playstyle. PWI releases more and more content in which people have equal gears. There is no reason to play a Pserver anymore. Also, what I know? Well all classes, all skills, all cooldowns, all combos, anything as far as PWI goes. Ofc I have no idea about any custom stuff ppl from EPW came up with, how could I?

There is no credible source of any statistical data regarding that anywhere but from experience I can tell you that the amount of people playing has been consistent over the years, its just not a very populated MMO to begin with. EPW is an entirely different game considering how vastly different the mechanics are in it & it is certainly not better than PWI, yeah everyone can get geared but that doesn't make it better. In my opinion PWI is a much better MMO but to each their own. EPW is a bullshit pirated game full of toxic trolls that are always one-upping each other, it even specifically promotes the "toxicity-aspect" of the game by allowing people to set custom tags on everyone's HP bar once they die (things like "Dead Shit" etc), absolutely preposterous. Well no, You just go attack build on your DB and you can kill anything with demon and far more efficient. if you fight me for example with a sage DB, there is so much more breathing room and especially you not being able to immune on Settling Ripple with 100% cause you to lose. Also, yes, the Amp on Dragon Trap is nice, but that skill is so slow that you actually lose 1 - 2 hits that you can actually hit more as a demon instead of fully casting that useless Skill. Also, Demons can just use their own selfbuff inbetween divine + destiny combo to gain 15 att lvl for 15 seconds which massively outperforms the 30% amp on Sage Dragon Trap and has more utility at the same time. Settling ripple alone is a reason to go demon. Another is demon Spark. 100% crit, no chance to not crit at all always massively outperforms any Sage DB on average, just because of that. If you then go even further...Annular Eclipse (CD skill) + Quad interrupt + Shadow prey into Ultimate (skill reset) into another Quad interrupt + Shadow Prey kills anything anyways, no matter if you are sage or demon. If you play for that Sage Dragon Trap you only make yourself far more predictable as well. Since they merged so many skills to be the exact same in both cultis it is not that clear cut anymore (pre Neverfall Demon was a billion times better and sage completely nonfactor) but demon is still overall MUCH MUCH better given the higher overall damage potential, faster Skills and 4 second immunity on Settling Ripple. That's not an opinion. That is fact. A Demon DB vs a Sage DB at same skill level, the Demon DB will always win.
