Technology has been a huge disruptor of shared American culture too. Before the internet, people spent more time in their local communities. Now you can live mostly inside your house and choose whatever online culture you want to participate in. This fact is fragmenting shared cultures in many nations, not just the US.
It does go both ways though. The global connection we have now is a static blessing and option for people who don’t have a community at home to turn to. Obviously these online communities can be viewed in an idolatrous way just as physically close communities can be as well. With these online opportunities come pros and cons
This is wonderful Doug, I heartily concur with everything said, unlike the schizoid Antioch Declaration. Now have E. Michael Jones back on and discuss for our edification.
God bless America, He has given us blessing upon blessing many of which have been taken for granted by the unappreciative, His mercy and grace are sustaining us.
California has a population that is roughly 50% immigrants both legal and illegal. There is no assimilation. I worked in an office with mostly immigrants. They never referred to themselves as American.
@aallen5256 I was the only non asian in an office of roughly 10 people. I was fired and replaced with another asian. You clearly havent spent much time in Los Angeles.
That God’s judgement on America has been mercifully passive shouts to the heavens His patience and longsuffering. Let us repent and fill our church buildings with grateful and redeemed souls, enthusiastic again for the Gospel.
I appreciate you addressing these things, but after 68 years it doesn't matter much what anyone thinks of me but God and my wife... in that order of course...
I will always remain a paperwork American, but I have placed myself at the global center of the diaspora of my ethnoi in South Carolina, alongside the descendants of my ancestors, where the gravestones reflect our shared heritage. My ancestral Kirk, only a few miles from the town of Moscow in Ayrshire where many of those ancestors originated, exchanged flags with Abraham Lincoln and still fly that battered US flag in the Kirk. My grandchildren if not my children will be fully American.
it was within my attention span...lol But, although very inclusive of several subtopics, the last 3 minutes would probably serve to satisfy most listeners...
Those called Jews today would be unknown in Jesus time... They would be called many names but not the peer of Jesus. He would not recognize them in any way... So why should we, the followers of Christ today??
Grace, Peace, and LOVE, In KING JESUS. Most of You Know me as "Lazarus" (the Paralyzed Preacher, n [vet.] SAPPER, among..) and most importantly -"slave Of CHRIST". i have been watching for years and wanted to get in on the Book Give-Away (have to at this point). How do i get one?

What a great response to anti semitism! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am grateful that my ancestors had the courage to immigrate here a 100 plus years ago.
This is very well said. I truly appreciate this ministry and the avoidance of ditches on either side. I would also, of course, appreciate a discussion related to Stone choir and the evils of what they call racism as a good thing.
Observation: Scripture defines "nations" as families per Genesis 10:32 "These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood." KJV for Doug and crew. How do Christian nationalists in these United States of America harmonize with the Biblical definition? Asking for a friend.
Isreal is a mission field. Boomers seem (emphasis on seem) to have a different view. They seem to think that somehow Israel is still elect without Christ, but as far as scripture is concerned they are equal to the gentiles in their individual need to accept Christ. In regard to people of Jewish descent being behind many of the movements plaguing the west, I would say: not all Jews, but not an insignificant number of them. Don’t hate, but don’t be oblivious. I love my liberal Christian family members, even though I know what they believe regarding the murder of children in the womb or the castration of those outside of it. They are deceived just as I once was. I have sympathy for the Muslim, as they have been deceived by a false profit. The truth has been kept from them. But I have to admit, when I recently visited a synagogue (Talmudic) in Rome I didn’t share the same warm feelings as my boomer friends. I felt surrounded by a tradition of rejecting our Messiah. A willful rejection. Do I treat them any different than any other non-believer? No, because I am a bond servant of Christ. My personal prejudice (or discernment) can only inform so much of my heart posture toward the lost. I think that the Antioch Declaration wouldn’t have been so poorly received if it didn’t sound like the Antioch Dismissal. As if the “anti-semites” these authors are referring to are simply blinded by an unreasonable and baseless prejudice. When in reality it’s pattern recognition and a reaction to the boomers unintentionally Zionistic tendencies.
Ok I'll weigh in, as a Christian of European ancestry, antisemitism makes 0 sense. If it weren't for the Jews I'd probably be wondering around the woods bowing down to trees and painting myself blue thinking it was the thing to do. Sure they rejected Jesus but even so without them there wouldn't have been a Jesus or a gospel in the 1st place. I can only speak for myself but I think I can forgive them for dropping the ball that one time, even if they do come across as slow learners in the messiah department, just saying.
@@YayGrr1 Don't get me wrong if the Almighty really wanted to he could have put the incarnate Christ pretty much anywhere at any time but that's not what happened, though through Abraham, Judah, then David, etc. Most of the information we have about the tribes that made up what later became modern Europeans before Christianity is second hand and the general consensus was they weren't doing so hot and I'll just leave it at that.
You don't get to bite and devour the Body of Christ for a month and then make perfidious claims of thankfulness at the end. B Москве начинается гниение
Repentive, thankful, grateful and blessed beyond all measure. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you uncle Douglas! Thank You JESUS for not turning away this smouldering wick. Please dont give up on me Lord. Amen.

Please hold a public discourse with Joel Webbon
Or a private one.
I would imagine this is in the works to happen. Things in real life move much slower than online.
@ I would certainly hope so.
Yes, please!
Matthew 5:9
We really are blessed
Amen and amen, praise God for Tex-Mex
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. God has been good to us, far better than we deserve.
Listening from NZ 😁🙏
Outstanding!
Loved that blog. Gotta say, simple and to the point is some of your best material.
Thank you. A good way to start Thanksgiving morning.

Nailed it!

Beautifully said brother, so well and beautifully said...
I'd only add 2 Ch 7:14 to the end.
Num 6:24-26 for you, yours and all those around you.
Such a fantastic way to end NQN! Praise God!

What's a paperwork American?
@@brentives4688 A citizen by naturalization, or paperwork, rather than by birth or descent.

When did Doug get a rug installed on top of his head?
Glory to Jesus Christ.
Hot gospel
Thank you pastor Wilson! And thank you for mentioning sushi lovers!😂
So, which culturally appropriated restaurant serves an Americanita? I would drink this.

Doug Wilson your declaration was filled with spite and animosity.
Sorry but, no, it was not. Critiques are not, of necessity, filled with animosity, though that IS a very common misconception these days.

Very nice. One correction: you are describing Southern music, not “American.”
Defines ethnos from ideas outside Scripture and then works that definition back in, all the way into the corners. Nice.
I don't think you can get forgiveness if you didn't give any.

I agree with everything in this video but the Antioch declaration still seems fatally flawed.
Exactly what parts of the Antioch Declaration are "fatally flawed"?
Itis is inflammation suffix not itas
