Am I correct that you find so many bullet shells you throw them back like a fisherman who catches a small fish? Being in Europe it does not excite you because you walk around and there is history under every step. Here in the United States, it is difficult to find anything interesting unless you live near a civil war battlefield. I would be very interested to buy some WW2 spent shells, and I am probably not the only one. You could finance your metal detecting trips with $$$ from selling the stuff you throw back. I am not certain about any rules against this idea, but I suspect you could make some easy money selling what you don't want on eBay. What do you think?
Hi James. I dont leave them behind. I take them with me but I don't record it every time I find one. Dont want to bore you to death with 'just' empty casings. If you guys are really in to them, perhaps I'll just sent some out.. Let me think about that. If I do decide to sent them out, I'll do a give-away on the facebookpage.
@@IronMikeMetaldetecting Since I see you doing this, I would trust you would be selling me authentic stuff. I just don't know what to think about ebay and getting fake crap. I would love to buy some shells myself. Like James said, not much cool stuff to find in the grounds of the US.
Very good finds Mike, great little time capsule, a good soldier will always have a good sewing kit with buttons, you never know when you will lose one. God bless and take care.👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
@@mikehunt3800 U.S Has always been capitalist... And I doubt you know the atrocities the Nazis caused. I understand some of the Infantry, Naval, and Airborne were forcefully enlisted, however, I'm referring to the ACTUAL Nazis.
Been watching digger Dan in your Area. Going on Around a year now. Your stuff poped up ! All the way from North Texas. Keep up the good Work ! Joining !😀😁👍👍👍👍👍 !Thanks
I love this, but can someone explain why everything is under the dirt? Did the earth swallow it over time or did people buried it? Love what you guys do

Hi, first time watching. Very entertaining I’m gonna keep on watching. I started metal detecting back in the early 70s in upper New York State wish I could still do a Lotta fun ate it? I really like your program. Take care. VICTOR.
Very nice finds Mike ! Interesting and...impressive ! Those 'board' pieces and that time capsule...really amazing ! I didn't see until now a...Lebel/Berthier 'ammo pouch'...interesting you found this war relic into a... 'former' WW2 battlefield... ! I think that place/area "needs" more exploration...! Hallo to Chris ! I 'follow' his channel too ! Next episode...??!
I find your videos informative. I enjoy them and anticipate each upload. Cant wait for next one. You have any suggestions for someone who wants to start but has limited funds?
First video of yours I’ve watched and now I’m a sub of yours. I Enjoyed this dig and footage and congrats on the game piece finds in one hole. I only have a few from old bullets shave down from civil war times into game like pieces
I love WW2 history, and am envious of the artifacts available to find in Europe, LOL. Harder than heck to find much military stuff in the US, However several good YT Channels find excellent Militaria, such as THE HOOVER BOYS, who recently dug an almost pristine USA revolutionary war button. It was an awesome find, also a week or 2 ago they dug with a group on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and managed to find several Spanish Reales. I myself look for WW2 time frame money, coins and paper. Keep Digging And AM subscribing!!
I'm sitting here wishing I could go detecting today on a new permission, but it rained so hard last night everything is a muddy mess. Then your video popped up. At least I can watch you 😉. Thanks for the video. Great finds. 👍
Great video's and I am trying to watch them in order, I am a detectorist from the UK with a big interest in the RAF and WW2 and one of my wishes is to detect in Holland or Germany which I hope to do in 2020. Keep up the good work.
Hi , greetings from Richmond VA USA , I just found ur channel , u have nice content in ur digging adventures, I would do anything to come to Germany and find a few ww11 artifacts , I hunt the American Civil War , real big deal around here also , cheers buddy , will be watching more vids
I wish it was known how did the items get there ? , how does on some digs American , German and Russian items get recovered from same location .. Keep up the great work really enjoy the videos
Good to see some new finds. Did you find all the pieces of the chess and checkers games? What do you do with the bayonets and gun barrels and such? Do you clean them with a brush only? Do you use electrolysis to get all the rust off? Do you sell or donate any of your finds? Do you have boxes and boxes of dirty history in your garage? Just curious...
I always enjoy your videos and yeah the different items that you find from world war II I collect a little bit myself too I have some German some American British and some Russian pieces that I've found in my travels but do you ever sell any of the stuff that you find there's a few pieces that you found over time that I would be very interested in purchasing if you do that so if you happen to check this out maybe you could respond to me and let me know where I can go look at some of these things that you may have for sale or may not thank you for your time
Hey Mike! How do you usually get permission to detect in the Berlin forest? I'm from Germany and until now I only detected on farmers fields nearby with their permission, but how do you get one for these forests? Thanks!
Brian Hine But that risk is eminent pretty much anywear you detect in central/east europe then. About 2000 tonnes of UNEXPLOADED munitions are recovered every year in Germany alone (smithsonian.com, 2016). Its the same with human remains, it can pop up anywere, especially since not even the authorities knows where most battles around Berlin took place due to the chaos back when it happened.
This was all on private owned land. I have (written) permission from several landowners to detect their property. Its has costs me a lot of time (and beers) to get permission so really dont want to hand out information about the location.
Iron Mike Metaldetecting So theres no other permission needed in Berlin except the land owners? (I mean except at monumental protected areas, of course)
From Kentucky USA,,Please say was that a tile or a concrete pipe or what was the place you were digging,,,as far as during the war, this was a coulvert under a road ? SO cool last one to have touched those chess pieces,,,amazing,,,wish I was there with you,,,do you worry about explosive device being armed still in digging? Thank you!!
I was looking into the chess pieces you found, and I believe they are from a chess/backgammon set from 1930. Now I’m not 100% sure but they could be German origin
I had an early 1900s Indian Head $2.50 gold coin that was found in a metal back button with cloth covering it. This button was in an old jar of buttons. Might look over those buttons real good.
So how I got on some unscribe is RUclips is doing this and I've been subscribed to you for a long time.i have found other people to this is not right. But love your Videos my opa was a tanker in ww2 German I would love to get a German dog tag do you sell stuff. Keep up the hard work
