I've just joined a creative team and my boss wants me to help optimize their workflow, so this comprehensive and informative video is a gift to me. I'll be watching (several) others like it to prepare for my start on Monday!
@@minor-co Thank you, I just might! This place has a newsroom, "deadlines don't exist until they do and then it's a mad scramble" vibe, so I'm leaning heavily into project / task templates and rules to seamlessly transition work. We'll see if it's helps the team and keeps boss happy. 🙃
Excellent video. Incredibly, I spent the 2 days before this release searching and reviewing videos for content on workflows to use to better manage my youtube channel. Thanks as always for sharing your expertise.
Thanks for the video. It was helpful . Is there anyway to automatically add same task through the form in same project everyday and assign a person in charge for the task.
For workflows can I use it for training and orientation? I am the new admin at my organization which is a nonprofit, I noticed they are not using ASANA optimally and first I need to create a reusable recurring training with automated tasks, documents, and videos.
Thank you for this valuable video. May I ask, is it possible to auto email the person who has submitted a form into Asana? i.e. you can't set the email in an email rule because it could be anyone from the team who has submitted it although the email body text can be pre-set in the situation I'm thinking of
It would be amazing if actual time spent could be a required field before a task could be closed. Fully syncing it with Quickbooks/Zoho would be a HUGE benefit as well.
Yeah, that's a nice idea! What you could do is use a saved search to find completed tasks that don't have time tracked which you can then go back and update

Great to hear!

If you'd like to create a task that repeats each day, I'd recommend just creating a task with a recurring due date instead of using the form.

Yes, this is exactly the kind of thing workflows are designed for 👍
Great tutorial. Exactly what I needed.
Glad I could help!

You could do this with Zapier. Let me know if this is something you need help with and we can help set it up.
@@minor-co Thank you, I did think that was the only way on the free version.
@@minor-co would this also be the case for adding the "requester" or form submitter as a collaborator in the created task?
Do you have a tutorial about how to integrate with an App - like Salesforce?
Not at the moment, thanks for the idea.
any way to set dates 0 days out, 2 days out , 7 days out automatically on the Free version?
I'm afraid not. You would need the Starter plan to use templates and do basic rules or Advanced to create your own custom rules.
@@minor-co sadness. is there a workaround for free versions? its silly they make you pay for setting dates. overwhelms new people.
Great video Paul. I was wondering if it is possible to implment the form template on a website for potential clients to fill out?
Yes, once you create your form, you can copy the embed code to add it to your site 👍
@@minor-co i need some material

Great video and feature!
Thanks, glad this was useful!
Should you be admin to be able to create a workflow?
No, any organisation member can create workflows within projects they have permission to edit.
I'm interested in speaking with you to help me.
