Only in the Netherlands with their extreme "luxury taxes" (BMP "Belasting van Personenauto's en Motorrijwielen")! In Germany for example the Mini Countryman JCW (300hp) comes at a base price of €56,600€ incl. 19% taxes. Even with all options combined the price is not higher than €66,400 incl. 19% taxes.
Depending on the driving mode chosen, the noise may decrease, though I can't guarantee it will disappear entirely. I enjoyed the car; it handles, steers, and shifts superbly. However, I don't believe it's worth €86,000.
I would believe there is a toggle in the settings that allow you to disable it. This is based on another video I don’t recall well and I don’t have this car so take it with a grain of salt
Thanks for the video! Is this worth considering since the GLA 35 and probably rsq3 are in similar price range but are somewhat better performance wise?
The GLA is priced similarly to the Countryman. However, the RSQ3 costs 40,000 euros more when new. Although I haven't driven the GLA, the RSQ3 outperforms the Countryman JCW with 100 hp more and better handling. Additionally, the RSQ3 offers 25 liters more luggage space, and its sound truly embodies a high-performance car. If the speakers fail in the Countryman, it diminishes the sports car experience 😅
@@GDrives_NL probably the mini for its uniqueness. Still not sure how it handles and accelerates compared to the GLA 35. I also noticed there's a subtle lag with the display when operating it. Did you notice it during your time with the mini ?
First of all, I love your name. Gheorghe Popescu was my childhood hero together with Hagi 😍. What a price difference. You're absolutely right, in Romania it does indeed cost just under €55,000. I understand what you mean and of course it is not wise to push the car with so few km, but that is what a demo car is for. How many KM's do you have on it? What do you think of the car?
@@GDrives_NLClose to 800. It itches, but i'll wait to see the full potential from 2000km on. Great car. Best Mini experience (haven't tried the 2024 Cooper, yet).

There is a way to turn off the fake muffler sound, correct? What do you think about cabin noise and ride comfort in general?

I looked it up and it's called Active Sound Design (ASD). You can turn off this sound by bypassing the module. There is plenty to find on Google.
Yes, in the current version and older cars you can use OBD port and BimmerCode. Hope Mini does not restrict this in future cars

Absolutely not. The OLED screen is great. I was positively impressed by the colors, responsiveness and ease of use.
Mine was 55000 Euro (full option). Just bought it in Romania. Should you rev the car so high under 2000 KM?
