OHH GOD. its lowkey embarrassing how much i fucking LOVE this. Lol hell yes. get it hanson bros! Hahaha. These guys were a huge fave of mine as a kid growing up in the 90's. Skip ahead a few years to the early 00's. & i was in my early 20's & had a different band to be hopelessly obsessed with by then. They rocked skin tight white spandex leotards at all their live shows & they had completely nailed that super cool, retro, nostalgic, throw back to rock bands of the 70's kind of sound that you see practically every other band out there trying (& failing) to pull off these days. They were called the darkness, & i fkn loved them. I remember this song would come on the radio in the car & me + every other member of the metal band i happened to be in at the time would scream/sing along every single word to this song outloud. Everyone in the band knew the whole thing by heart. Mannnn those were the fkn good old days yall...god i miss it so fkn much sometimes. Remember what life was like back when nobody had ever heard of the phrase "9/11" or "the war on terror" or, "carona virus" or "covid19" you guys?? ....back then if you would have told one of us that donald trump would be president of the united states one day we would have laughed right in your fkn face. Life seemed so much better then. We were happy. all of u blissfully unaware of the wrong turn life would suddenly take just a few short years down the road. (Sigh...) Anybody down to help me build a time machine so we can all go back? Come on yall, whos with me? Lol ✌😇
I think Zac did great with the high notes, especially considering how much he was moving around the stage. I'm not sure why there are so many comments saying he sucked...

Along with Fountains of Wayne's "Stacy's Mom", it seemed like 80's-influenced music was making a comeback that year, and while both songs may have seemed cheesy to some, The Darkness had that hair metal sound with Justin Hawkins' falsetto, and the music video with the band performing in a spaceship... the song was way before its time, but it was unique, and that's what I love about it. Hanson picked a great cover choice with this one!
i dont love this song. but wowww they have done an amazing job with it!!! Who knew Zac has still such a hugh boice? and Ike and Tay are great on the drums and the guitar!! awesome!!! maybe i even like that song now!!!!! :)
Did they do shows only playing covers on this tour? if so, I'm glad I didn't attend their shows. I like one or two covers, but I want them to play their own songs.

The Darkness's original song started out in the key of E, although the single and video versions was sped up one semitone higher to F.
