Actually the stories of the sairols purchasing wind was a saga from skandinavia im pretty sure they were in coastal finland so they were finns who sold the wind to the skandinavians also the saga tells that they said u shouldnt open all 3 ties but then the skandinavian sailors did and there was a storm
Yeah ive theorized abt them being just sámic shamans but i've done some research and a woman couldn't be a noaidi in sámi culture there was gender roles y know but that doesnt mean they werent equal tho just they had another roles to do in the community and only a man could have the role of a noaidi (sámic shaman) Correct me if im wrong and remember to link the source too i would wanna learn some more ofc
