Thanks so much!

I'm wondering if DC actually knew who it was but just didn't want to say because they are a competing knife distributor or if he genuinely doesn't know anything about REC.

DCA’s knife center videos have much more variety, information and general knowledge than all other knife distributor RUclips channels. Not a lot of fluff in these, he gives you what you need and want to know about every blade shown. I buy from knife center exclusively now because of DCA’s vids. Use Sentry Solution Tuf Cloth for the high carbon steels like 1095, O1, A2, 5160, S7 etc. And never store your knives in a leather sheath the tannins left in the leather can corrode even most stainless... (if you use Marine Tuf Cloth please note that it can take the glare away of a satin or mirror polish) and if you use your knives for food prepp: Tuf Cloth IS NOT FOOD SAFE! Your Semi-stainless like D2, Sleipner, CPM 3V etc. will do fine with a light film of mineral oil on it, same I would recommend for stainless steels which have the tendency to pit like 154CM. If you live in humid conditions and/or near to salt water I would use the mineral oil even for storing most stainless like s30v... Btw if you need corrosion protection for a user especially if you food prep with the knife, make sure your oil of choice is food safe. I recommend "Ballistol H1"
