A real shame about Astrobot. Don’t really understand Sony’s reason . Their flagship VR headset and it gets ignored. I would imagine it would be one of the best selling PSVR2 games. 😢
It was astrobis decision to not make astrobot a vr game, not sony. With that being said, i do agree sony has falled short on doing its bery best to advertise and push for the psbr2 headset… its a shame.
@@bxile730 it really is a shame. To me, it feels like they kinda duped us by saying how committed they were to supporting PSVR2. Then once they got our money and made it past the initial launch phase, they just quietly dropped it and have now essentially said “yeah, we can’t be bothered anymore. Go and use it on PC”. It's a children's game. Hopefully they are working on some 1st Party games, but if not, I'm happy they're supporting porting 3rd party PCVR games over & it feels like the drought is almost over with Alien, Behemoth, Zombie Army & Metro, Low Fi & likely Resident Evil 2nd Party next year.
@@funkymonkeyukSony did more for VR in 2023 then all VR companies combined in the last half decade. Same with PSVR 1. We don't really know if Sony has completely abandoned 1st Party development, but they havnt abandoned VR that much is 100% evident.

Honest question: are there PSVR2 games that work with the Dualsense controller? Because ARM was totally designed around the Dualshock. If the answer is yes, I would absolutely like a PSVR2 port of ARM like yesterday,
@@laffinkippah it should be easy. Hold Start button and it'll re center the controller. It has a Gyro sensor so it would work fine
@@laffinkippah GT7 is a dualsense game, and it works really well. So it’s entirely possible to make a VR game with the controller in mind.

Been a Sony guy since ps1 when my dad bought it for me. Memories of this big box cases. Going to blockbuster and toyrus. Missed out on ps2 due my parents getting divorced. Bought a ps3 and ps4 during Covid and here I am gaming again.
Sony as truly fallen. I won’t say I’ll switch consoles. A part of me still believes in Sony.
I hope soon comes more from Alien.

lol, 😂 Sony doesnt have that on flat either, so you had NO chance from the start... You will be able to use your superior PSVR2 headset on a PC for that purpose now tho.. That may be the only reason sony made the headset work on PC tho, if you think about it. Now people can have the best games on PS5 psvr2 and the highest "smut" on PC with psvr2 headset, the best and worst of both worlds on psvr2 now. lol. 😂🎉😂🎉

@@alnamroudnotimetoreload lol, none of the older games on pc will have those DFR ground breaking new psvr2 features, but maybe some enterprising newer PC games can start patching-in DFR into their top-selling games and new stuff now that pc has access to the PSVR2 top-notch DFR headset. The DFR benifits can start to spread to ALL VR not just be PSVR only. Maybe nudie games are what it will take to get DFR to spread faster to all the other headsets sooner, who knows, but nudies helped in the betamax vs VHS war, so it will probably help with the headset DFR standardization stuff too since 8k textures can destroy PC gaming frame rates without a DFR headset. DFR can save all VR if it becomes the obvious benifit that it is in those types of 8k super ultra HD-texture PC games. 8k texture DFR showcases should be the focus to get VR going again. Happy VR'ing!

@@funkymonkeyuk Could be a way to get people, to jump on a psvr2 after they play it flat. It looks an awful lot like rescue mission. So I don't believe anything at the moment.
The devs basically said it wasn’t even possible. But his reasoning was flawed. He thinks if he can’t add gimmicks to it, then it’s not be compatible.
@@MrMpa31 The gimmick is in the use of the dual sense and how they adapt that like they did in play room. Which was a very cool experience. Im perfectly fine playing with a dual sense myself. It doesn't have to support independent hands with the senses. Also just needs A Camera that floats in the world. That would be good enough for me to buy it then.
Its all smokescreen, this game looks so much like rescue mission, I would be surprised if there is actually nothing vr. I don't think so to much info says otherwise, the dev says I wouldn't hold out hope, that's is not a flat out no. Words in certain arrangements matter, I can see thru the lines of double speak can you?

After trying to play the new missions in Playroom, I lost all interest in Astro Bot. After getting sick to my stomach of the GPU song I gave up and looked up the solution. Team Asobi has clearly run out of ideas. I no longer want their games.
Team Asobii stated they had zero intention of making a PSVR2 game. They don’t care about our community, it’s time to stop caring about them. Let’s focus on games and devs that actually care to be part of PSVR2 community.

Astro Bot may not come to psvr2. This guy is an idiot or is lying to you, it is not harder to bring 3rd person to vr. This games looks just like Astro Bot rescue mission. That game was not first person it was a third person. This entire game could be playable like most other vr platforms, with a camera that puts you into the world. 3rd person vr is sweet, lil diorama action. Id pay big money for a diablo in vr or a bigger Pretta from psvr. I won't buy this until it gets PSVR support.
Well, we all know it's a very lame apology fromt team asobi. I believe they just can't speak it out honestly. Sony Management ordered just a flat game and Asobi delvered a flat game.
Sony is paying them and you can't talk too badly about the boss.
The thing is that when the majority of players are fighting against VR then those things happen! Its not sony's fault, its our fault!!! Of course asobi could bring it to VR as well but the money they will get from the VR players do not make the maths! Where is the problem imo? On the younger ages, they did born inside gaming and they are absolutely absolute! We aged in gaming and we want new experiences in gaming and we are open!

Sony has limited resources. We are living studios closures, layoffs and sony is supporting the place where the money is: ps5 flat games. Don’t expect psvr2 support from sony anymore. We are living hard times.

Why if they had already done the ground work with the vr development for this game then why not include vr on all platforms?
