Steve I think you have done an amazing job. It is certainly something I think I would struggle to achieve due to the fact I have the patience of a five year old 😂
8:40 you verbalised what I was thinking - even more so considering that was the scooter shoulder too! You have a steadier hand and more patience than I do Steve, that's for sure!
Hey mate you have a steady hand. A fantastic job. When painting(not that i'm a professional) i would've done the outside of the letters then done the middle. That's just my suggestion. Make sure you when your finally finished it to tire black the tires. Will set it off. But it is looking grand. Cheers 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome work Steve and a steady hand too (ever thought of brain surgery?!). I noticed the italics slanting towards the front to mimic direction of travel straight away - that small lettering looked an absolute nightmare - we can buy paint pens from auto stores in the UK - perhaps an option for the next project? I thought it was called a rhythm stick too, but the Dury is out on that one😁
It’s looking great Steve! I’m amazed that you’re managing to do this mostly by yourself! With the stripe, and you being set on it going across the doors would it not be better to extend the diagonal where it already is before the doors to make it line up?
Yes I can see why you want to continue the stripe on the doors. What about simply having it the same level as the front clip and dealing with it at the rear end of the door since it already slopes down towards it? While we're on artistic licence, seeing those oval taillight bulges makes me wish it had the original spec lights fitted although it will look like a UK Atlantean from the back! A pair of AEC style front nut cover rings painted the same green would look amazing. They can be fitted on.
@@stevestufff you learned a good technique rolling the brush with the curve too. I specialised in making paint and finding formulas when I was in spares. It was good fun sometimes but hellishly stressful. I drive for a living now and I think it’s the first time I’ve really loved my job lol.
I've been on that bus hundreds of times as a kid.
Terrific job Steve, it's looking great.
@@plea0954 thanks!
Looks magic! The orange makes all the difference too, I thought it was gold originally. Shes coming along lovely.
Hi Steve yeah the green looks darker with the orange around it great job with the sign writing 👏

@@stevestufff Very Good my friend.
Tip I was given years ago , put paint tin , bucket of boiling water , paint will flow better , with brush...
wow good to know!

thanks Luke yeah I'm a one man show mostly! And the door strip idea is addressed in the new video out this week :) Good idea!
I personally wouldnt paint the door stripe but thats my personal preference, its your bus mate and the choice is yours
@@kriss_b still thinking about it. And if I do it and don’t like it, easy to paint over. Still not sure!

I have those lights on the Merlin and they are hard to find over here! The door stripe issue is revisited in the next video, and you are spot on!
fab work! seems to me that it slants the wrong way for motion speed - moving forward I mean....maybe thats just me though.
yeah who knows the reason! It is an interesting quirk though
Oh yeah, it’s a Mahl stick too cob.

Time, call WSFM, they have time for people to do stuff lol.
Going to work? Why don't you become a millionair, writing such signs on paying customers? That "work" is a waste of time, is not it?
not sure my shoulder could cope!
