An old toothbrush and car wash solution in a squirt bottle would be effective on those gutters I reckon, followed by a rinse off with a small plant watering jug.
Painted gutter was worth the pain.

Evening Steve. Does the emergency door on the Merlin still open or was it sealed years ago? I've not been to Busfest before but hope to go this year. Are the buses at the event for display and demonstration purposes only or do some give rides as well? I understand the issues you had to tackle but it's a shame that the radiator cowling couldn't go on as a whole fitting. While in Sydney for many years, I grew up near Taree and probably saw Eggins Merlin especially at the main stop at Waltons and the Commonwealth Bank. Has there been any interest in the future of the other (farm bound) decker? Hope you are well. Dave

hi mate- yes the emergency door does open, however the exterior hardware was removed. The buses on display are only static(for insurance reasons), however the Bus Museum will be running an interesting array of buses on the shuttle between the museum and the display area. The other Eggins decker is pretty much stuck where it is. The owners don't want it raped for parts. Hope to see you at Busfest!

@@stevestufff it appears to already have. Even the axle shafts were removed.

@@jamesfrench7299 yeah Eggins used it as a parts bus before letting it go. I believe it was towed to its resting place.
