    Thank you Jeremy. I am thinking to buy the E373. I am a guitarist. I prefer the tone on E373. So I use a keyboard to sound piano and guitar. Not necessary to carry 2 instrument on the stage.

Your videos are phenomenal teaching methods, and help novice and older piano players appreciate the wealth of applications and features in Yamaha and other keyboards.

    Hi Jeremy interesting comparison. You forgot to mention a few details, though:
    1) The PSR EW410 has the same exact piano sample as the PSRE373, which is much better than the piano sample of the E463.
    2) The PSR E463 can edit some additional parameters as compared with the E363. It can for instance edit sound envelop parameters such as Attack and Sustain, as well as the panning of the various voices (Main, Layer and Split).
    3) The Groove Creator buttons of the E463 make it possible to activate/deactivate the different tracks of the styles, which makes the styles more varied and dynamic.
    4) The E373 and E463 can upload 10 additional in the flash memory of the keyboard. Additionally, the E463 can upload these additional styles directly from an USB stick and can also read MIDI files from an USB stick without having to upload them to the keyboard first.

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  3 года назад +5

      Thanks for the input I missed out! You are right about the sound edit on E463 which I did a detailed tutorial 2 years back. 😉 To my ears, even though the E373 has same sample as EW410, it strangely, sounds better due to the new improved LSI chip.

    Excellent review, Jeremy ! The E series of Yamaha, is very awesome for the price. The new characteristics of the e373 increase the intrinsic value of this instrument. My favorite is obviously the e463, that have Midi and Audio functions that introduces you to the world of musical production, and composition in better form that the others in this review. For other hand, the DSP functions with the control knobs like analog synth, modules in real time sounds and with the memory slots, you can record this modifided sounds and combines this in the track control for a better performance or recording. I like the piano sound of the e373 but the speakers don't because the e463 sound more realistic in high volumes. The wheel is other difference that I adore, because sounds acoustics instruments or synths sounds, you can get modules, bends, or increasse or decreasse microtonal, analogic modes, that upgrade your sound quality of your music. The only "unhappy" decition is don't replace the "Yamaha lessons" in the e263 and e373, with flowkey premium or your lessons for free, Jeremy (with Yamaha paying you obviously, 😁 hehehe) for the beginers.
    Thanks for your excellent job.
    Greetings from 🗿Chile🇨🇱

But anyways I'm so happy with my ew410 (In my country, Chile, now you can buy the ew410 for almost 750 dollars :(, Thank God I was able to get it for $400).

    Excellent comparison Jeremy! I would prefer the PSR- E373 and the PSR-E463 that comes with better features and functions when compared to the PSR-E273. Although all the 3 keyboards have well programmed rhythms with accompaniment and brilliant voices, the PSR-E273 lacks in some of the important features like harmony effects, arpeggiators, dual, split, etc., and touch sensitive keys.

    Very Informative. I did not realize that the PSR- E373 had a significant feature with the SA-LITE functionality that the other Yamaha personal keyboards did not. A keyboard without dual voice layering and keyboard splitting would severely restrict the creative potential of any intermediate player or composer. Although I rarely use a split voice, the dual voicing is necessary to build musically expressive sounds and instruments.

    Hey Jeremy, Love your videos and indeed it helped me to choose the E373 as a starter keyboard for my daughter... I know this is being picky and no offence by it, but when explaining differences between keyboards, especially when there are 3 of the, I think just saying the 373, 463 or 273 would be enough instead of repeating the whole PSR E373 has this where the PSR E473 has that but the PSR E273 only has this,,, lol.... Its a lot of PSR E's in a lot of sentences in a whole video..... 273, 373 & 463 would be fine I think.. :)
    Love your Piano lessons training too.... Thank you. :)

    Just ordered the psr463 .The reason being the 273 is not touch sensitive , a major downfall. The psr e373 has a cheap look to it with no back lit screen ,even though it has the super articulations , its only 11 sounds .The psr e463 has a pitch bend wheel plus a back lit screen looks better made ,has a small sampling ability ,and a major advantage is the control knobs for sound editing , i would say it is vastly better than the other two ,plus it has more sounds .

  • @STBRetired1
    @STBRetired1 3 года назад

    Difference 1 - I don't need "expressive". I just need to train my hands and fingers to go to the proper keys. And, as I listen to the rest of the 23 differences, I realize that I'm just learning so I don't need all those bells and whistles. I just need practice. In a year or two, if I know what I'm doing, then I can upgrade a bit. I just sold my Casio CDP-130 with 88 keys which had all those bells and whistles and I never used it. I think it was just too much for me and overwhelmed me. I just need to push a key and hear a sound. Beginning piano is training your eye, hand and brain. Later you can add "expression" and tones. I think I'll get the E273.

    • @STBRetired1
      @STBRetired1 3 года назад

      UPDATE - I just sent an email to a seller on Craig's List who has an older Yamaha PSR175 keyboard for $ 40. I think THAT will be my best bet. It's cheap enough so if I lose interest and don't use it then I won't be out much money. It's also smaller and lighter than the 88 key Casio I had. The PSR175 has SOME bells and whistles but is basically just a keyboard and that's the lack of distraction that I need in the beginning.

    Good Afternoon Mr See and I hope this finds You well. Actually during those days I am thinking of buying a new keyboards but the problem is that it is long time I don’t play (I was playing my keyboard on a band). I had a look into the different tutorials u had and I would like to ask u a suggestion between two models which actually are much different. The two models are PSR E463 and PSR SX600. If u were in my position (consider that maybe it would be to use it at home and on some parties and I like a lot enjoying the different and to have at my disposal a huge number of styles and songs) which would be the best one to buy. I really would appreciate your feedback and many thanks.

    I appreciate your input, you and your work. I admire you and thank you for being there at all.
    By the way, I want to ask, what do you think of the Casio wk 7600? It is a great keyboard and it is not easy to get it in larger music stores in Europe. in Germany. In Tomanie and in the Musik store I know you've already shown this keyboard on youtube in your video; but unfortunately I can not find this video anymore on your website. Casio (as a company) is my favorite and I really like wk7600. I am facing the choice of Casio wk 7600 and yamaha PSR 473, but which is better?
    Is it true that the Casio keyboard - WK 7600 has been withdrawn from sale?
    One more thing. The keyboard lessons you offer are in English. If they were on you tube, it is possible to translate them because I don't speak English. Thanks again for all your videos, they help, this is your valuable knowledge for all of us thanks and best regards, Hektor.

I want to start with keys, im nearly 47 i age, play drums and flute, and im interessted in the music theorie also, so my first thought was to buy a cheap "no brand" with touch sensitivity, but as i saw your Video and also as a fan of yamaha, i decided to wait for the remaining another 100€...its worth, the dsp and so on, amazing, amazing... Wondering 'bout the moulded brand on the front, no white letters to pose😉is it because of the costs, have you an idea? Greetings from east germany, great work👍😊

      It is most likely to go with a more professional discrete look for the moulded brand. 😉

    Hello
    I'm following many of your videos on piano n keyboards n I've a question for you: are Thomann piano worth to buy? I'm interesting in Thomann SP5600, it seems to be fine for ginners n intermediate levels, actually I'm looking for piano arranger, with piano touch 88 keys n lot of sounds and rythmes, functionalities ... I've budget of 400 euros.
    I'm living in France and here instruments are expensive than any other country
    Thanks for your answer

    Wait... so the sampler on the E463 maps the samples only to single keys? You cannot save a sample and then play that sample in different notes across the full keyboard? (My reference point was a Casio SK-5 I had back in the 1980s)

    They keys are narrower than the keys of piano, right? It seems most keyboards have narrower keys. So each octave on a keyboard is 5mm or 6mm shorter comparing with that of a piano.

    Considering the situation where I live Casiotone LKS-250 adn Yamaha PSR-E373 have the same price. I am a complete begginer, and want to learn by myself. Would Casiotone LKS-250 light keys and app integration seems good for learning but is Yamaha PSR-E373 better instrument overall? Any advice?

    I was decided on the Korg EK-50 and now I see this video. Between the Korg and the Yamaha PSR-E373, what sounds better, is better? All I know is the EK is heavier! Thanks

      Because in the rest of the world, EK-50 $449. E463 $299. Not in similar price range how to compare?

    Hi Jeremy : i'm a follower from Barcelona (Spain) . all your videos are very interested and helped me to choose my new keyboard a PSR-E463 . I've got it just 1 week ago. Now i have a question for you : when you play a Style or a Song , the volume of those examples is too much higher than the main voice you play (right hand). It is possible to adjust the volume for the main voice independently of the volume of the Style /Song ? many thanks in advance, and best regards from Barcelona !

    Hello everyone, I am looking to get a keyboard but unsure if I I should spend the amount I'm looking at, I am stuck between the casio CT-X700/800 the yamaha PSR-e373 and the PSR-ew310. I haven't even touched a piano in my life so is it stupid to go for one at this price. But I would prefer to get one that would last a long time then to get one I will out grow any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
