I found a PSR-E373 on Reverb. I have always played guitar, but as I age my hands aren’t cooperating as well. So I’ve decided to learn keyboard. I’m 74 and still going strong. I have been studying music theory for the past couple years. I think I can do this!

Very different beasts actually. The real contender to the CT-X line will most probably be the E473 next year. If it has all the features of the PSR E463 plus the new voices and DSPs of the new E373 and some other novelties on top, it’ll be a winner no doubt.

Fantastic review Jeremy! This is the video I have been waiting for since a long tome.😊 The live grand piano voice found on this keyboard sounds really great indeed. Suprising to know that Yamaha provides such a high quality voice in a $200 keyboard when the Yamaha PSR - EW410 costs about twice as much ($429).

After having seen a lot of your suggestions and videos for a around $200 keyboard, my personal choice was oriented towards the PSR-E363 or the CT-X700. I was almost to choose the CASIO (wich in my opinion is better than E-363), but now YAMAHA released the new PSR-E373, which is undoubtedly better than the previous one. I was hoping for a dedicated comparison between the E373 and the CT-X700 (you compared them among other 7 keyboards), and, by the way, what one would you suggest? Thank you again for your availability and for your professionality.
I bought this keyboard and I'm really excited to start learning to play. I have played on piano and keyboard before but never really started properly learning it apart from a few beginner songs that I still can't play well. But now thanks to lockdown. I can dedicate a lot of time to this :D

Boy oh boy did Yamaha really put that CFX Grand piano voice in that entry level keyboard? I think I am dreaming, lol. I know they did. It's just my mind is now blone. It really took them many many years to implement that piano into a Keyboard like this. Just wow. Again, I know that this is an entry level keyboard, but I am just so amazed that they put that CFX grand piano voice, as well as very exceptional Electric Pianos and Super Articulation Lite voices into this PSRE 373 and EW310. I think that beginners will enjoy the sounds and be amazed by the quality of the sounds. By the way, the Video and your demo of this keyboard is now in stereo. Thanks man, stay safe, and I hope that you will review my favorite keyboard in this class, PSR E400 Series, lol.

That's also not to say that the old piano voice that they used for decades is bad, in fact, it is still beeing used to this day, I and others just wished that they put the much higher grand piano voice, and improve some of the other sounds into a lower cost keyboard and they have done it.Stay safe and well wishes to you and your family.

I don't know why I feel Yamaha has got quality even though less features than Casio ctx series..... although I have seen a plethora of videos why Casio is better 😅....I can't oversee the richness in sound of Yamaha keyboards.
Oh yeah! Nice piano sound on low-end Yamaha keyboards! Casio, thanks for bringing competition with your CT-X line! I own a CT-X800, it is very good, and some people were admired with its piano sound. And I'm happy with Yamaha, they're finally improving the sound quality on their low end keyboards. Which brings us more competition, that leads to innovation, which means better sounds, or more functions (or both? Can we expect both?) in the entry level side of musical instruments. This is awesome, because in my country, musical instruments are very expensive, and the majority of people only can buy low end instruments. So, I hope both Casio and Yamaha step up the game, and keep the prices low, making Roland and Korg move, and launch their competitor (in the same price tag!).
I fact you ve really helped me as i was deciding on a low budget but good keyboard to begin my musical journey and am going in for the Yamaha psr e373 thank you so so much 🙏

whether or not it comes with a power brick depends on your locale and your dealer. Where I'm from, it comes with the adaptor.

I love to have a keyboard that its sound close to grand piano, can you recommend which one have the closest sound like a grand piano between psr-e373 and psr-e463?
e373 has much better quality of voices, which means its grand piano voice is much much better.

I find this extremely interesting and a very honest opinion which helps us in our future choices!!! :-) A question: after a few years, do you consider the Yamaha PSR-E373 and the Korg EK50 to be still excellent choices in 2023? Especially the Korg EK50 because I don't see any demos anywhere. The finesse of your demonstrations and explanations/
