Great review! I love how this is pegged as a “beginner keyboard” but it works as a MIDI and has tons of sounds for the studio, is SUPER lightweight for live shows as well.
I got this very keyboard but I, once again after watching your video, learned that the real music instrument is the brain, not the keyboard. Jesus, what do I need to play half as good as you do! I suppose years of practice to go. Well, just started. Congratulations. I wish I could play as superb as you do in the next years...
@@sumedhhhhLook into a used keyboard with weighted keys. You might be surprised how little you have to spend! It might not have all the bells and whistles, but you can use a laptop to make up for that. The feel of a keyboard is probably the most important thing.

As a professional keyboardist, I decided to buy this solely on the updated Grand piano - the same patch found in the $5K Tyros. Perfect keyboard for the practice room - and for the gigs I don't feel like lugging the heavier boards to :) Fantastic video demo!
@@haynz309 - yes - although when using this keyboard at even smaller gigs, it needs to be amplified (phone/output jack to power amp PA via TRS cable) - the 2.5W internal speakers are just meant for a small room.

I'm trying to find a keyboard that's not too simple but not too complex for my nine year old son. This video has me sold on this model. Well done on the demonstration Gabriel!

Thank you for this beautiful review. I'm so happy to have my Yamaha PSR-E373. I called my local Guitar Center and the store had only 3 in stock! I bought it right away and love it!
I have a question. How high do you need to turn the volume button before you can hear any sound? I need to turn it about a quarter..just checking if this is normal
Yes, you can. The is from E373 manual. Using a Pedal. You can control three functions: Sustain, Articulation (page 19), and Arpeggio (page 21) as you play by pressing a footswitch (FC5 or FC4A; sold separately) plugged into the [SUSTAIN] jack. By default, Sustain is assigned, so that the sound can be heard for a long time even if you take your finger off the keyboard while pressing the foot switch, like a damper pedal on a piano. To use a function other than Sustain, use the function settings (Function 029; page 53).

Hi, great video so thanks a lot. Do you know what's the software needed on Yamaha PSR e 373 to connect the USB to Host cable between it and a computer?
The sounds are good but the lack of midi din in order for it to be controlled by an external sequencer or gear makes it less appealing. The usb midi means you can only control it via a DAW.
Please how do you get tunes for the register memory on this brand of piano. And which cord do you use to load them unto the piano. How can i also connect my pc to this piano. I dont seem to find the right cord. Is there a specific type you can recommend??
