Jeremy i bought this same keyboard in Feb using your reviews and am very happy with it. However, i only get quality sounds via headphones. What is source of audio on your posts? I also presume you use pedal to trigger articulation since i saw no button push. Since stuff like pedal, headphones and power supply are extra, that needs to be part of "less than $200" statement, in my opinion. Love your work!

Haha. And you don't say which model it is Jeremy! I had to watch very carefully to catch that PSR-E363 badge. But we are really talking about the E373 aren't we? Often I miss the extra information below because that is not displayed to viewers watching Jeremy See through their televisions. Then when I fish out my mobile to add a comment...I have a chance of seeing the links and so on. I'm so surprised that Yamaha is heaping on the goodies in the entry level keyboards. Is this a feature war with Casio? How exciting! I take back everything I said about Yamaha not competing well on entry level keyboards.

I just purchased this keyboard yesterday to go along as an extra keyboard to an organ. I was most interested in the piano and strings but also instrumental sounds like trombone, sax, etc. I have a way to go before I really understand this instrument. The sound is good (I have external speakers from a previous keyboard) I had to manually go through 600 sounds to find the number of instruments and sounds that I would be most interested in. This should come with a list and next will be to go through the thythms. In my opinion besides the obvious good ones they could have lowered the number as some are dublicates and some to me are unmentionable. I am looking foreward to learning how to set the presets and tackle listening to different thythms. I think in the end I will be happy with this instrument.
it comes with an instruction manual, and lists all 600 voices in there as to what they are; its fabulous, i have it, i dont read music and have never taken a lesson but i can now play 150 hymns on it, with both hands. i love it!
I originally ordered this keyboard but had to cancel it so to a seemingly universal backorder of 4+ months. I'm getting a CT-S1, and an hoping thats just as good.
Right, PSR-E373 probably doesn't have CFX sound. I I compared these two, and found that PSR-E373 sound quite good, but it doesn't have the superb sound that the DGX-670 has for CFX. This is PSR-E373: 01:35 and DGX-670 / CFX: ruclips.net/video/iq2w7kopa6M/видео.html (I listened to them through the Yamaha HS8)
It's kind of a Shame that the $700 Yamaha PSR SX600 has been beaten by the E373 in the sound that Most Players will use 85% of the time Nothing can overpower the E373 EVER with it's Concert Grand sample for the price... Sounds INCREDIBLE!
Jeremy, love your videos! A few questions, please - How is the speaker output on the this model and do you expect it to be the same on the 76 key version? Also I was aiming to get an 88 key piano/keyboard. Is a 76 key that restrictive? And how much polyphony does this keyboard have and is there much cut out? I probably would be playing some classical. Many thanks!
Hi Jeremy, may I ask You something? I'm just about to Buy a piano and your opinion it's importsnt Would You prefer the Casio ap470 or the fp30x ? I don't want to have to buy another piano after that Thanks in advance.
I got the PSR-E373 a week ago and it feels nice and all but today i went into a music store and had a chance to touch the more expensive ones. And damn, the p45 feels so nice in comparison that I'm already on the fence of upgrading. I stood there touching the weighted keys for like 5 minutes because of how satisfying it felt. My PSR-E373 now feels like a cheap toy in comparison. It feels like it's geared more towards DJs to mess around with all the funky voices at the pool party while p45 is a more serious approach to learning the piano. Now wonder people can't stress enough to get P45 as the gateway into piano.

Hi, thanks for the amazing videos!! As a beginner, buying my first keyboard, should i go with Yamaha PSR- E373 or Casio CT S1? Or is there any other keyboards to consider at this price range? I'm confused, help please.
Thanks for this review. I'm a semi-professional player looking for something on the go. For stage playing, is it possible to do presets with those numbered buttons and then layer them? I see this keyboard can also connect to host through usb. That is a plus!
👍, I wish they had improved the organ sounds as well. They are not all bad, but could definitely do with an update - I miss a few good B3 voices. But then for the price point, shouldn’t really complain!
Jeremy, I looked up on Yamaha that this keyboard only has 48 polyphony. How limiting is this? I have seen you speak about 128 or 256 polyphony of other pianos/keyboards. Although I thought this is the one for me I am now concerned there would be note cut out when playing. Would love your advice please as I am desperate to move forward on a purchase. Many thanks!
Probably if you are using a pedal and you are playing the melody not with one finger but performing a piano playing along with the keyboard's accompaniment(styles), occasionally you could have some cut off sounds. The various voice effects also maximize the available keyboard's polyphony along with the layers of the right and left hand voices, the sustain pedal and of course the notes each time you are playing simultaneously. The more advanced keyboards have a 128 notes polyphony(because the have many effects), an acceptable one is 64. (In 256 polyphony maybe the keyboard will explode but yes some can handle a lot more than 128 notes polyphony). Keep in mind that Yamaha's next models of this series (E-463 & EW-410) are also having 48 notes polyphony, so it shouldn't be that bad. They seem that they can handle their voices, styles and effects I don't think Yamaha would add any kind of new features without worrying about the most important thing. How their keyboard sounds :) This is an older article from Yamaha's webside: Polyphony refers to the maximum number of notes that a keyboard or sound module can produce at one time. For instance, if you were to play a 3-note chord with a 1-note melody, you'd need at a keyboard capable of at least 4-note polyphony. Many of today's keyboards and sound modules have 64-note or even 128-note polyphony, and while few keyboardists are going to play that many notes at once, many people want the capability to play complicated, multi-part layers that demand much more polyphony than a single instrument sound would ever need. Keep in mind that on some keyboards or sound modules, polyphony can be adversely affected by how heavily a sound is layered. For example, if you are playing a rich, layered sound made up of 4 simpler sounds, you may only have 16 notes of polyphony (or less) on a keyboard with maximum polyphony of 64-notes (64 divided by 4 equals 16). Also keep in mind that some high end Yamaha instruments can use 8 elements per voice. And this is before we start layering the voices. What happens when the maximum polyphony of an instrument is exceeded? That depends on what sounds are layered and how the customer is using the instrument. For example, let's say we have 4 layers; 1 acoustic piano, 1 electric piano, 1 string pad and one vocal pad. If we step on the sustain pedals and repeatedly play the same notes, we begin to hear the sound building, getting thicker, as layer upon layer are continuing to play because the pedal is held down. The piano is a percussive sound (electric piano too), so even though the pedal is held down, these notes are decaying. They may not be gone, but the earliest played notes are now decayed to the point that they are buried in the wash of other notes. But the string and vocal pads will continue to sustain as long as the pedal is held. The result is that, when the polyphony limit is exceeded, it seems that string sounds are chopping off randomly and the sound gets thinner as new notes are played
Hi- thx for your detailed reviews Jeremy- I just bought this based on what your recommendation. Im a long time pianist and first time keyboardist looking for a traveling set of keys for small gigs. I was disappointed to find the key action very stiff on the upper half of each key, to the point of not being able to hear a sound unless I punch it hard, which is unnatural. Im dropping white key notes especially on songs with lots of black keys. Does the action improve over time or do i need to adjust to accommodate this stiff action towards the tops? Is this std for most keyboards?
No it happen to me also. I wss able to adjust the s😅ensitivity to 1 from 3 .....is really a great keyboard i play in our church sounds great specially with a Roland Amp ....even better
Yamaha PSR-E373 or Korg EK-50 for beginner? Mostly in terms of sounds quality and build quality? In my country the difference is only 50 euros. Seems to me like Korg has much better strings? Am i wrong?
I was this close to buying Casio CX-T700, but I found out it has no layer volume adjust function. And this is smth I would definitely like to have. 🙂 Thank you.

I don’t know the song and artist, but what csught my attention the the chime type keyboard backing line. That Eric Satie song you play that is also one of my phone's OEM ringtones. That was a creative application in a totally different music genre.
I just received my Yamaha P-125. i'm new at learning Piano. I deccided to rent one for now. Started lessons a month ago here with an instructor playing on a mid size Grand piaono. it is really fun to learn something new. I also play some guitar.. Heard the Piano Learning can also help with guitar playing. I believe that. It has been working for me. I really like your videos. Sometime I will get some better keyboard than my P-125. But it will do for now.
Have fun!
Thank you so much Jeremy for keeping us so informed. 🤗
I'm a singer/songwriter guitarist who has always wanted to take up the piano. The sounds that are in this that was demonstrated by your videos helped to pick this one out. Best deal for the price range. The first thing I'm learning is Jump by Van Halen. I'm using the strings and horns for melodies in my songs and know there is more just waiting to be found:) Thank you for your reviews.
Lovely playing and I have to say this thing sounds amazing for under 200 US.
It's 269.00 on Amazon prime, without peddle, seat stand or anything else.
I wish Yamaha release the P135 and E473.
Still so far so good, but after diving in your channel I felt in love with the ctx 5000.....amazing for effects in a Band, also with a lot of dsp, microfon effects an so on😉👍greetings from Germany again
Yes! The CT-X5000 is very powerful for the price.
I’m planning to buy this as my first keyboard. For leaning as we’ll as using it with a DAW. Hoping this is the right choice for me. Thanks JS!
Up date the keyboard was excellent decision for our church Music Ministry Amen tnks Jeremy
I remeber even 30 years ago we would have died to have these sounds at hand so cheap..you could nt get them in 1990 without super big bucks. I had an Ensonique SD1 and the piano was naff compared to this one ( great synth though and sequencer) but wow how things have changed..just think linn drum and synclavier etc and cost now
Indeed! We are getting really good sounds for not very much money these days. 😊
Hi Jeremy, in this time (june 2021) should i buy casio ct x700 or yamaha psr e373? Would you please give me an advice?
Definitivamente Yamaha E373
I bought the Yamaha psre373 this pass December and its the greatest. Its the first one I ever owned and im glad and happy with it. I will up grade in December and meanwhile I'm learning and loving the e373 and I will purchase this piano for my daughter real soon so we can jam together.
Thanks a lot Jeremy🎉... I was quite confused between casio ct-s1 and yamaha E373.. and i know which one suits my need 😊
Thanks for your help man 😊
I used to have one of its predecessors that I bought 12 years ago, the PSR E313.
Came back to have a look at how far it has evolved.
Agree. In next 12 years from now, the piano voice will be sound like 5.000$ Clavinova digital piano.
The rolling RP 102 has Steinway piano samples in it best piano for the money less than $1,000. Like someone else said in another comment you get what you pay for I rather pay a little extra and good good sound my rolling RP 102 is a full upright digital piano with 88 full size keys.
Hey, sir iam buying this piano today thanks for your all videos i will support you great job buddy
Great choice. Have fun!
😉
Yamaha PSR-E383 new model
Hi Jeremy are you going to make a comparison video between the PSR E373 and the CT-S400? This would interest many people I think..
I'll do one closer to when stock of CT-S400 is available. Many viewers are not happy I'm making videos on stuff that isn't in stock. 🥺
Jeremy, why don’t you give the name of this keyboard in your video?
I don't know if he changed it later, but it's there in the title dude.
Good for a starter keyboard
I just purchased this keyboard yesterday to go along as an extra keyboard to an organ. I was most interested in the piano and strings but also instrumental sounds like trombone, sax, etc. I have a way to go before I really understand this instrument. The sound is good (I have external speakers from a previous keyboard) I had to manually go through 600 sounds to find the number of instruments and sounds that I would be most interested in. This should come with a list and next will be to go through the thythms. In my opinion besides the obvious good ones they could have lowered the number as some are dublicates and some to me are unmentionable. I am looking foreward to learning
how to set the presets and tackle listening to different thythms.
Thank you for this video! My daughter has been looking for a keyboard and this meets all of the wickets!
Glad I could help!
I just bought one. Thanks for your help.
Have fun!
It's kind of a Shame that the $700 Yamaha PSR SX600 has been beaten by the E373 in the sound that Most Players will use 85% of the time
Nothing can overpower the E373 EVER with it's Concert Grand sample for the price...
Sounds INCREDIBLE!
Well said!
I'm just about to Buy a piano and your opinion it's importsnt
Would You prefer the Casio ap470 or the fp30x ? I don't want to have to buy another piano after that
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Jeremy!
Thanks so much for that video!
For sure it's really a great keyboard for this price
Thank you for a very helpful and comprehensive review.
Hi, thanks for the amazing videos!!
As a beginner, buying my first keyboard, should i go with Yamaha PSR- E373 or Casio CT S1?
Or is there any other keyboards to consider at this price range?
I'm confused, help please.
which is the best keyboard under Rs. 13,000 or 175 dollar
@Jeremy See
can we record our tracks on the keyboard ?? demos and stuff ?
Does it have saxophone sounds?
fantastic review, thanks a lot!
Great review! but how did you record it with this high quality loud sound?
I have it and love it, Jeremy recommended.
Very nice video!
Really doing a great job, thankyou for making us make a better choice sir☺.
Thanks for this review. I'm a semi-professional player looking for something on the go. For stage playing, is it possible to do presets with those numbered buttons and then layer them? I see this keyboard can also connect to host through usb. That is a plus!
What were you playing @1:37? I know I've heard that before.
It's the Gymnopedie no 1 by Erik Satie. Hope it helped you
👍, I wish they had improved the organ sounds as well. They are not all bad, but could definitely do with an update - I miss a few good B3 voices. But then for the price point, shouldn’t really complain!
Thanks for sharing!
Great review, thanks!
This reminds me of my Yamaha DJX, but that piano yeah, that's better.
They seem that they can handle their voices, styles and effects
I don't think Yamaha would add any kind of new features without worrying about the most important thing. How their keyboard sounds :)
This is an older article from Yamaha's webside:
Polyphony refers to the maximum number of notes that a keyboard or sound module can produce at one time.
@@Panos-Veria Thank you sooooooo much for replying to my question. I am relieved that perhaps I can live with less polyphony than 128!
@@renecuevas4128great! How do you adjust the sensitivity? Im assuming in the Functions.
Yamaha PSR-E373 or Korg EK-50 for beginner? Mostly in terms of sounds quality and build quality? In my country the difference is only 50 euros. Seems to me like Korg has much better strings? Am i wrong?
Just ordered one.
I was this close to buying Casio CX-T700, but I found out it has no layer volume adjust function. And this is smth I would definitely like to have. 🙂 Thank you.
Glad I could help!
I'm thinking of getting this to learn piano.
Yamaha np 12 or yamaha psr e373 which one is better for a begginner
Which one is better E373 or i400?
I think it's the best for the money too. I love the PSR-EW310.
Indeed! Hope things are well Shelly.
@@JeremySee Things are great :) The book is in the final phase. They are working on the wrap-around design for the cover. After I give the OK, they send me the first edition to look over. If all is well, they print. I love this publishing company. It's been a great experience.
*Jermy please my comment reply Yamaha Psr E-363 whih one is buy* 🤥🙂
Thanks for the video. I just found mine thanks for your video. How do I know it's original?
HI great video. A question, does it also have Learners Mode?
Can this keyboard be recorded on your laptop?
This is a very good song at 1:07 min!
Another very useful video Jeremy...I need a portable to practice way from my acoustic...sound wise and key feel, this or the Casio CTS-1... which would I enjoy more?
Pick the PSR-E373 if you want a keyboard. Pick the CT-S1 if you want a portable piano
Have you used a pedal to control the articulation without using the button? what kind of pedal do you suggest? Jeremy
Hi Again I just thought of another cool video you can do I suggest doing a comparison of the psr e373 with the new e473. Just thoght of it.😎🤩👍
Bro should I buy this one in this price range? And do i need to buy pedals with it? I am a complete beginner.
Brand and model please ,,,thank you
Hey Jeremy I need to buy a keyboard I am from India I can't decide which one to buy Yamaha i500 or Casio ctx 9000in I want best sound quality and someone says the Casio is better for best features but other says it's not user friendly and Yamaha every tones are realistic tones and it has best build quality tell me which has best sound quality
Extend ur budget go with Yamaha psr s 670
Not sure how old i500 has been, but I always look up to Yamaha.
Needless to say, when you upgrade, you’ll always get better deal from Yamaha, it simply depreciates slower.
Would you recommend this one or CASIO CTX 5000 since you’ve endorsed both?
That tune at 1:30 is a favorite of mine...Erik Sarte? I remember it from the 6th grade...i love it.
Clair de lune
I have a psr e353. Do you think ita worth upgrading? So far i like playing bossa nova with style mode.
Sounds great
How does it feel ?
What brand and model is this?
