following your expert advice, I bought E373 in September last year at about USD185. It’s really a great and wonderful keyboard. Although I started learning keyboard at 65 and I’ve completed learning basic keyboard techniques in five months. I’m now enjoying playing music almost every day. Thanks once again Jeremy for your useful comparison and information.

@@aaronaguilar5204 i love hearing you that my message may have inspired your interest in playing music. In fact, I’ve fallen in love in playing many musical instruments since September last year. I’ve learned keyboard by myself and I’m learning piano by myself as well. I also learn chromatic harmonica by myself. However, I’ve to attend violin and flute classes every week to learn the skills etc. You’re absolutely right. It’s never too late to learn any musical instruments. Now I can play many songs and classical pieces of music with my violin, keyboard and chromatic harmonica.

Thank you for your excellent and very informative keyboard comparison. My first keyboard was the Yamaha EZ-300 which I purchased based on your thorough review and recently have been fortunate enough to acquire the DGX670 once again after viewing your informative videos on this fantastic keyboard.
You made mention of multi track recording in this video and since there currently are no videos that I am aware of on YT showing how to do this on the DGX670 might you consider creating one for myself and your other subscribers who are new to the myriad of features that this arranger can offer to enhance our musical enjoyment?
Yamaha makes great keyboards but Jeremy it is your excellent instructional videos and teaching skills that have motivated all of us to enjoy playing keyboards no matter what level we have achieved in our musical journey.
Many thanks and may God bless you and your family.

Wow. This is the best tutorial I've ever seen on youtube. It's perfect. I'm going to buy the E373 as soon as I 'round up the cash in the next few days. You answered a zillion questions for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I want to teach children in children's church how to use the smart chord option after I set all the other buttons so they can easily play our kids songs for others to sing along with. I'll simply label the piano keys, put those notes/keys above the words to our songs on a sheet of paper they can follow, and they can quickly sound like a pro by chording with one finger, while using the pre-set rhythm plus the intro and ending buttons. I did this years ago and had kids playing songs in only 15-20 minutes. We'll also have other simple instruments while I play guitar. I'm so thrilled to find one at a local "Guitar Center" store near me. Wheeee!

    • @stratcat4461
      @stratcat4461 Год назад +5

@@gibsonnyata127 The e373 lacks key features that the e473 has. For example, you can turn off each instrument on the styles on the e473, which is very useful. And the expanded digital sound processing on the e473 is nice. For the extra $150 USD, the e 473 is a wiser purchase. You will grow tired of the limitations of the e373.

Great video as always. I am a semi-professional keyboard player, with many decades of packing around B3s, CP 80s, acoustic pianos and such. Well, I am tired of that, so last December, I took a chance and bought a PSR E373. It was light and sounded ok in the store. I have been playing some small shows and gigs around Osooyoos BC all winter and have discovered that I really like this thing. Now, I just walk in with this in one hand and a compact L1 Bose in the other (if needed)
. I am going to have to take a good hard look at my remaining heavy keyboards when I get home.

In my opinion, the best device for home and even little more is e373, it seems an optimal choise for me. Yes, there are only 48 polyfony tones, but it still sounds great. Only one I regret in e373 is pitch bender, it's relly useful thing. Since 2020 I've recorded many songs in my e363 and I consider e373 wont be worse.

Surprised that Yamaha degraded the PSR-E273. I have a PSR-275 bought many years ago at Costco. It has velocity senstive keys with 3 levels of sensiitivity. I've been using it to relearn piano. Great comparison review👍 Yamaha is the king and queen of trickle down electronics technology. Every few years they up grade and hand me down to the lesser keyboard. Like a child needs new shoes every year because of growth. Over time you end up with a dozen or two shoes that are great shoes but they don’t fit when they were new 🤔🤔 Getting a larger shoe to grow into is something to keep in mind.
The key word in all of this is “CHEAP” based on price and as a musician cheap sounding. E with any number is for Education on a low spending level. They are what they are. Yamaha has the best selection for you pay for what you get. There is no real bargains. To the non musical educated listener it all sounds wonderful. I suggest anyone getting an instrument get one that is as much higher than you will use and stretch your $$$ I vestment more. Why? You may grow into it like a child’s shoe, Technology changes every few years and you will be a few years ahead. This is on on the keyboards, PSR’s PSR- SX, Genos and remember Tyros? Bigger spending money with the same trickle down technology. Just like gasoline in a car, you don’t use a full tank in the first mile. Yamaha and any business should have a full tank and let it out as they go down the road. Bottom line is enjoy any instrument you get, just choose wisely, knowledge is power. Awesome review, very informative and you are a blessing to the music world.🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹

Can you tell me if one loads smf onto this keyboards, will they only use gm boring sounds for playback or can we choose and swap to the way better internal voices? An after, export the file with those richer voices to listen to them that way on the next playbacks? Thank you

Another amazing review for people ready to buy! For years you've really helped people buy the keyboard that's right for them. In comparing the PSR-EW310 (76 key version of the PSR-373) with the PSR-E473, the sound difference and the styles are much better on the PSR-E473 (IMO) , but I bought it for the microphone input. I was surprised at how smooth it sounded and how you can apply separate DSP effects and volume to the mic. The speakers were stronger than I thought they would be for for amplifying voice. It's nice to be able to skip my big Fender keyboard amp that isn't really flattering to voice, but has a dry, hollow sound, even with reverb. I'm glad I bought the PSR-E473, but I'm keeping the PSR-EW-310. It's a great keyboard and it's also wonderful that the PSR-E373 is available for beginners because it really has nice sounds. I like the extra keys, though, on the EW310...
Another one that's really nice is the Casiotone CT-S1000V---well, actually the CT-S500, if you don't want the vocal synth. Wow! Amazing sound with the extra reflex speaker and it's super slim for trips away from home. I'm loving that one too. The sounds are a lot fatter than the CT-X800 that I have and it has a sampler that's pretty nice.. I'm glad it has a modulation knob too. I'm having fun with both the Yamaha and Casio keyboards. Maybe a review on the CT-S500 someday? I'd love to know your thoughts...

Great insight! Soon, the CT-S500 & CT-S1000V is sitting in my studio. 🤭

@@JeremySee Awesome!... I just did a review on the CT-S1000V...but you are the King of keyboard reviews!! :) I actually loved the CT-S1000V so much that I ended up buying it. I make trips three hours away to see my folks. I usually stay a week at a time and that keyboard is small enough to pack over there.

      Aloha, Shelly0624,
I am Jeremy's friend from Honolulu, HI, a long time keyboard and music gear addict. I lost count of how much I have spent on music/sound toys/tools over the years.
I am a diehard Roland fan, but Yamaha and Casio have great keyboards and good prices for what they have and always improving.
My sold so much keyboards abd gear in the past. I still have some, but my present keyboard is my Roland JD-Xi, Roland Go:Keys, and a Yamaha PSS-A50 that seems like a toy, until you see and hear what Masataka Kono can do with them on his videos.
IMHO, the Yamaha PSR-E473 slightly edges out the Casio CT-S500, but the Casio is more compact and portable to take on the go, like you do.
I was going to get the PSR-EW425 for the bigger 76 note keyboard, until I saw the CT-S1000V. The vocal synthesizer is a Godsend for what I want to do. My JD-Xi has a vocorder but that's different. So I will get the CT-S1000V next. I still might get the PSR-EW425 later, but... I just might wait and get the new Roland Fantom-07 Workstation keyboard. It's almost four tines the price, but it's a compact scaled down version of their huge, heavy flagship Fantom that cost more than twice the price, and is not what I need or want. Just luke the RD 88 Stage pisno was previously my dream top keyboard. It had everything I wanted without the bulk and price of the flagship RD2000 stage piano.
I don't need the 88 weighted keys, but the 76 keys is just right, abd the key action on the Fantom 07 in a notch above all other semi-weighted keyboards, with an action halfway between semi-weighted and weighted. The production, performance features snd sound is incredible.
But for now, the PSR-E473/EW425 & the CT-S500/S1000V are incredible for their price range. Abd again, Jeremy makes it easy for viewers to decide what is right for them.

Hi Mr. Jeremi, I subscribed weeks ago to your channel and I'm enjoyed your tutorial so useful - One thing I need to know all these keyboards can export the midi file created inside and memorized inside the 3 keyboards, and export it as a midi file to a USB Pendrive? Yes I know some of them can export as wave files but I need to export as a midi file to a pen drive directly from the keyboard to the Pendrive if you can let me know I appreciate it a lot and it will be useful for many of us.

@jerememy your such a talented and genius sampler,as if you knew how hard it was for me to get the right choice between the 3 keyboards, I'll settle for e473,even though I have no idea how to play it but ever since av always loved keyboard so much but never got chance to taste one and av now decided to get one,the way you've sampled them I even wished you could have spent some minutes playing the song on e473 sounds so amazing.i believe with your tutorial video lessons I'll learn how to play it in shortest time possible.God bless you abundantly bro.i wish there could be a way to buy you some coffee...

This model is the PSR-E473. It has about 61 keys. That was pretty expensive. The PSR-E373 and the PSR-E273 both have 61 keys as well.
