Can you recommend a keyboard for use it with Flow Key Apps to learn piano on my phone? And I don't' have a lot of money like not the expensive one. To learn and make the relaxing vibe of the music
"Now let's look at the pitch bend wheel which both of them doesn't have"...Best line in the video😂😂 BTW Jeremy we're still expecting the sx600 vs pa300 video from u🙂
Considering the fact that Casio is more user-friendly, I personally agree that the CT-X700 is much better than PSR-E373. Plus, the AiX sound technology also produces great sounds. It would be very much helpful, convenient and excellent for long-term usage, especially for beginners. BTW, this is a great video, Jeremy! Hope you and your family continue to prosper. Stay safe.
I still bought Yamaha E373, coz sound of piano was important for me. Which is way better than Casio. Also there is no DSPs Ot Super articulation Function in Casio.

Nice comparison. While Casio has improved their keyboards with new functions, specs, and sound generator, I still find some of the voices of it inferior to the same voices of Yamaha keyboards, however, the electric pianos of Casio are better than Yamaha, especially the Galaxia EP sound.
I really wanted to see the voice differences in the two keyboards, but sadly that wasn't covered in the video. Could you give your opinion on whose voice/tones you like more - PSR E373 vs CTX 700/870?
I am in the same situation and honestly I think the CT-X700 is better , because even though it has less range (for example it has a bit few less voices) it remains better user-friendly and I like the fact that its keys are box shaped rather than the PSR-E373's keys that look like a xylophone's keys. The PSR-E373 might have additional voices but it's not worth it in my opinion because at 600voices it's already a lot to be honest and it's enough. I don't know how far you are at right now but if you didn't decide yet search more , honestly as someone who's looking for a decent digital piano I feel the need to check the specs of each item that I consider as a candidate.
the Casio CTX 700 is quite far cheaper, the same price as Yamaha PSR E273 (in my place, at least), and has quicker access to features, while the Yamaha PSR E373 has DSP and super articulation, which could be useful sound quality wise, I think they're both quite similar I'm too confused now...
I have bought the Casio CTC 870IN. After using it for a year, I would say, for Beginners, YAMAHA E363 or E373 is better as in the beginning years, we use the keyboard very roughly.. The yamaha build quality is better than Casio. I am using the older E354 & E343 in my class & they r still tough & intact althoug so many students use it. On the contrary, using Casio a little rough, & the keys are making a clicking sound which is very irritating now. Casio is highly feature rich, very crisp & great sound & very user friendly, but I recommend it only after 5-6 years of being an expert in keyboard, when ur fingers can glide smoothly on the keyboard & when u actually need to use the features. As a beginner, u won't need all these said features.
Hello Jeremy. Your suggestions are really helpful and thank you for helping all specially it helps a lot to beginner like me. I have a cordial request that could you please make a video for comparison between Casio CT-X870IN and Yamaha PSR E373? I am asking because I am from India and I would love to have a piano which has more built in Indian instruments. These both are new models in India and I am not able to figure out which one is best in sound quality and touch sensitivity though I visited a shop and played both pianos. Even if you cannot make a video then please let me know via this comment which one is better in above two mentioned criteria.
Thank you so much Jeremy for this indepth review and comparison. On your next review, would definitely like to hear how the Yamaha e373 "live grand piano" sound compares with Casio x700 grand piano. This would greatly help me decide on which keyboard to get. I JUST DESTROYED THE LIKE BUTTON 👍

Hi Jeremy interesting review as usual. One little comment: there are actually many DSPs on the CT-X700 and 800 but they are set and already assigned to each voice concerned. For instance, the rotary organ will always have the rotary DPS effect applied to it, the distorsion guitar will always have the distortion DSP applied to the sound, etc. Conversely, it is not possible to assign a DSP to a sound which does not have it programmed from the beginning.

Jeremy, thank you for these informative videos. Although I work professionally as as bassist, I’ve never learned piano and was looking to purchase an inexpensive keyboard for having around the house. Your content has helped me learn the ins and outs of these products. They both have their positive and negative aspects, but I decided on the Casio simply because to me, the piano/electric piano sounds are a little better and it comes with a power supply. The inability to adjust the volume while blending sounds in the biggest drawback to me, but since I’m not planning on using it for anything other than a learning tool, I don’t think it will be a big problem. I hope I made the right choice.
In the bonus difference, can you tell me If the ctx can send midi files (the ones I can put up and tweak on piano roll of fl studio) without an audio interface? And need interface to send audio data (as wavelengths) to the daw?
Thanks for your videos Jeremy...They helped me make an informed decision. One question; Being that the 373 has voices brought in from higher models, how would you rate the new 373 voices against the 463?
Casio every time for me, A great beginners keyboard, with a much better display than the awful Yamaha display. Casio shows me Chords & notes which I am playing on the right hand side of the display, & much easier on the eyes, as contrast can easily be adjusted. The tones are pretty realistic too.
I would really love to see a side-by-side video comparison of the 363 and the 373. It would be nice to hear the grand piano difference .. maybe some other differences too. That's something I will be anxious to find out when my 373 comes ..
I finally decided to buy Casio ct x700 because of octave shift 😅. if audio sound is concern we can put it on Midi, connect to computer or mobile then use apps/software to have a great audio and there are plenty of choice. 😁
Hi Jeremy, Here In India, we getting Yamaha PSR-E373 and Casio CT-X870IN (cheap Indian version 0f 8000) around the same price 13k (200 US$). Since CT-X870IN is way ahead of functioning and has pitch band too but quality wise looks cheaper to Yamaha interms of build as well as sound to me , so i am confused between since these two. Wether to go with the multifunctions or stick to standard requirement of just basic playing. So if you can help make me choice between these two. It will be my first keyboard . Thank you already. 😇
Great video Jeremy! Glad to know that Yamaha improved on the key feel and many other features and functions. But, I feel both these keyboards may prove to be the best beginner keyboards under $200.
Neither pianos are perfect. But for me, I'm happy with my choice of the Yamaha PSRE373 61-Key Touch Sensitive Portable Keyboard If I want more I will invest more. Full feature all bangs and whistles will set me back a few grand. For me I'm not no where close to needing such features. In 4 or 5 years, maybe? For now I think I have all the tools to succeed in my quest to learn to play. Another great! review Jeremy
Very informative comparison. Over-all, I'm leaning towards Casio in terms of ease and user friendliness. Also, I kinda dislike the low-height keys. But that's just me!
Many thanks for this comparison! I bought the x800 already though (costed me less than even x700 as it was in their shop for a display). Even then, can you please put up a video where you compare the sound of casio x700/800 v/s yamaha e373??
Ouch. Companies today trimming down on age old features i have used mostly on my yamaha psr530 wayback 1998. Lol Fingerung mode SF1/2, Multi, Full Has dsp button (also chorus, harmony and reverb buttons) Has 32 banks of 4 registration memories each bank Has one touch setting for quick performances Multipads (effects) Has internal demo songs and bonus cartridge demo songs (,style cartridges also exist) Has big, yellow backlit screen (as big as the scteen of the psr s750 i think).
Hey Jeremy, I was between these 2, but then I saw that the prices here in Brazil are very different between these 2... converting that would be: CT-X700 for $253 (best deal I could find, it's usually more expensive than that) CT-X800 for $335,99 PSR-E373 for $341,65 Given the huge price difference and small differences between those, do u think it'd be more worthy going for the CT-X700 in this case? thanks
Hi Jeremy, Good day. I am from India I want to buy a piano keyboard. Watched your review on Yamaha PSR E373. Could you please suggest if this 61 keyboard will help me to learn up to intermediate lessons.
Please upload the all tones comparision of these both keyboard because I think Yamaha may have less features but has more sound quality so please make foll sound comparision video
Hello sir I am going to start learning keyboard mainly for piano Sir I want to buy a new keyboard, according to the new videos sir I think I should buy YAMAHA psr ew310 Sir will it be useful for me to complete my grades , till how many grades would I be able to complete on this keyboard sir I am checking but sir is it unavailable in india or still to be launched?? Approximately till which date will it launch , do you have any idea ? Sir my budget is upto 25 to 30 thousand rupees ( close to 350 US dollars ) Sir please suggest me keyboard , any guidance from your side will be very very helpful Sir please reply
I have a choice between Yamaha E-363 30 bucks cheaper than casio ctx 800, and might probably get e373 for a comparable price from another country with some hustle. Which one would you recommend? I'm completely new to keyboards, but really looking forward to learning it and starting producing own music; connecting to mac/android and recording is critical for me.
I'm thinking about getting E373 as altbough the casio has more recordable tracks, I have a music production software on my laptop and I'd really appreciate the ability to record the keyboard's own sounds directly rather than just MIDI. I'm leaning towards the Yamaha, but the decision is hard. If you want to produce your own I'd lean towards the E373 as well due to this feature. Hoping I make the right choice!
Sempet kepikiran antara ctx 700/800 atau psr373, akhirnya saya memutuskan utk mengambiiiilll.... eng ing eng >> psr 463...!! Jeremy. Thanks for the video. I am going to buying for a 10yr old who is keen on learning to play. Which has the best self tuition features and which one would you recommend. Note in Thailand the Casio is about 25% cheaper
Does MIDI 2 USB cable from general keyboard (for eg Casio CTX 870) send Notations to a Notation software(for eg Finale Notepad) in a computer.. ? kindly guide..
As of this moment, in Hong Kong PSR-E373s go for HK$1,399 while the older CT-X700s go for HK$1,680. I'd guess the difference is that Hong Kong people generally aren't as rich as in Japan or US, so whatever they buy the first time will end up being the "only keyboard" rather than the "first-year keyboard". From that point of view, not having to switch keyboards halfway through the course due to "finger-on-bass" is apparently enough of an advantage the price-setters can set the prices this way. But honestly, how much would I miss finger on bass and "chord inversions" if I don't plan on taking courses?
Mr.Jeremy thank you so much for that video I wanted to get the Casio keyboard but after watching this video I order the Yamaya , I'm from the middle east and we use ( quarter tones ) and we use 4 main instruments which they all programmed into the Yamaha ( Santur , Kanoon, Oud Rabab and Tabla in World collection ) but i want to ask you can I adjust the tone ? we change the black key percentage /value ( not sure how to explain it in musical terms!) and can I add my own rhythm ? but if you know please let me know and thank you again
sirr i really need your help i am so confused its been weeks i can't decide what to buy and my problems is that i am confused in Casio ctx870in and yamaha psr e373 , i want good sound quality and a pitch bend also i want paino type keys semi weighted which are present in 870in the keys of e373 are light which doesn't give feel of real piano but the sound quality of e373 is very good which doesn't have pitch bend and i need it to enhance my style but i am thinking of using pitch bend app in e373 but i want to know the sound of 870in is really bad. My budget is 13k and i can't raise it more SIR PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHERE AND WHAT SHOULD I SACRIFICE PLEASE TELL ME AND TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I PURCHASE...
Sold my CTX-800 (didn’t lose much) and bought a PSR-E373 for my knock around battery keyboard. Miss the registration memory on the Casio but better sounds, styles and keybed on the Yamaha. I play in a rock band and have much, much more expensive gear but this little gem is my choice for a truly portable keyboard for sing alongs, small jams and around the campfire. As a bonus, it works so well with iPad and Korg Module, Camelot Pro, etc if I need more than this can do.
@@JeremySee If I had a complaint, well 2. The function button. Oh Yamaha, the function button. 70 or so presses to go around the loop. I would pay an extra $10 for a better way. Second is the octave shift (and pitch shift) require the use of the dreaded function button. Oh Yamaha, the function button. Please Yamaha. Fix the function button. There must be a better way.
Hi Jeremy. I need an affordable keyboard that does great Hammond B3 sounds. The cheaper the better. I have a PSR 473 for all the other piano sound I need. Thanks.
Jeremy, I am looking to buy a beginner keyboard and have narrowed it down to the Yamaha PSR-E373 and the Casio CTX-6250. I know in another video you mentioned the outdated sound chip on the Casio as a reason not to buy it but your review didn't include the newer E373. Are they close in comparison or would you say the E3373 is much better?
Is it true that the CT-700 has a hiss sound when using the audio out? I read a review on Amazon that said it did but I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else.
I want to buy a keyboard but I don't know which one. I just want to play as a hobby, I don't want to be a singer or anything similar, just play some songs but with a pleasant sound and related to price-quality
There is functioning doesn't matter if Ctx 700 has not that quality which yahama has . Ctx had aix sound engine which is better but why the sound quality is bad to hear even ctk has better quality so I preffer yahama

I would really love to see a side-by-side video comparison of the 363 and the 373. It would be nice to hear the grand piano difference .. maybe some other differences too. That's something I will be anxious to find out when my 373 comes ..
I have a 363
I finally decided to buy Casio ct x700 because of octave shift 😅. if audio sound is concern we can put it on Midi, connect to computer or mobile then use apps/software to have a great audio and there are plenty of choice. 😁
what is the giveaway secret code
Hi Jeremy,
Here In India, we getting Yamaha PSR-E373 and Casio CT-X870IN (cheap Indian version 0f 8000) around the same price 13k (200 US$).
Hifi ,that's me now,can you say what you bought?it'll help me🥺
What have you picked now?? Are u satisfied with your choice
Great video Jeremy! Glad to know that Yamaha improved on the key feel and many other features and functions. But, I feel both these keyboards may prove to be the best beginner keyboards under $200.
Totally agree!
Turkey 456 USD
I think there both pretty good. The Yamaha seems to have better sound quality than Casio in my opinion. Great information ℹ️🤩👍😎
Neither pianos are perfect. But for me, I'm happy with my choice of the Yamaha PSRE373 61-Key Touch Sensitive Portable Keyboard
If I want more I will invest more.
Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks for this comparison! I bought the x800 already though (costed me less than even x700 as it was in their shop for a display). Even then, can you please put up a video where you compare the sound of casio x700/800 v/s yamaha e373??
I'll stick with the PSR-E373. This really gets my vote. Thanks, Jeremy!
Yes it’s good
cant u pls next request topic is how to use sythesia app into Yamaha PSR 463 or etc
thanks
The keyboard that I’m getting is the casio ct x 800
Jeremy Casio CT X3000and Yamaha psr E463 which has better voices?
Hi Jeremy, can we adjust the different volumes of the layered sound in yamaha psr e373 as casio ctx700 lacks that feature?
Yes we can.
Ouch. Companies today trimming down on age old features i have used mostly on my yamaha psr530 wayback 1998. Lol
Fingerung mode SF1/2, Multi, Full
Has dsp button (also chorus, harmony and reverb buttons)
Has 32 banks of 4 registration memories each bank
Has one touch setting for quick performances
Multipads (effects)
Has internal demo songs and bonus cartridge demo songs (,style cartridges also exist)
Has big, yellow backlit screen (as big as the scteen of the psr s750 i think).
Hey Jeremy, I was between these 2, but then I saw that the prices here in Brazil are very different between these 2...
converting that would be: CT-X700 for $253 (best deal I could find, it's usually more expensive than that)
CT-X800 for $335,99
PSR-E373 for $341,65
Given the huge price difference and small differences between those, do u think it'd be more worthy going for the CT-X700 in this case? thanks
of courseeeeeeeee dude
i love your videos, psr e373 was my first choice but even psr e273 is way more expensive than ct x700 in my country, so i'll get ct x700 i think
Hi Jeremy, Good day. I am from India I want to buy a piano keyboard. Watched your review on Yamaha PSR E373. Could you please suggest if this 61 keyboard will help me to learn up to intermediate lessons.
Very detail, now i can choose with no regret🙏🏼nice content.
Pay with like n subs😁
great review sadly yamaha keyboards are a lot pricier in my country, ctx700 is at $208 while psr e373 is around $300
Thank You for your awesome reviews!, but still can't buy my own piano 😂😅
Hi iam a composer someone wants to offer me the Yamaha I had a 90’s m380 Yamaha it had great sounds and I could add a rhythm I could create

Which one do you suggest we buy?
Can we use psr e373 as a midi keyboard with DAWs like studio one, fl studio to control virtual instruments
After comparing for about a month , I finally bought Casio CTX 700 . Thanks Jeremy all of your videos helped a lot....
I have been torn between these 2 keyboards too!!! I want to buy Casio CTX700 coz its much cheaper
Bro we want a full review on Yamaha PSR E373 please😄
what about Casio Ct-x800? should I get a ct-x700 or a ct-x800?
Hi, would you say this is better than the casio CTS 300 for my daughter to learn piano
It’s better than the 300 but is a little bit more complex to operate depending on how young the child is
Is there any inbuilt sustain on/off function in Casio ctx870 like yamaha? . If yes then please make a video to turn the sustain on.
The effects are useless for the general mass also for me, we want a good sounded piano, that's it
What kind of external speakers or PA system under $75.00 can you sue for the Casio because the volume is way too low
I Don't know which one to choose
Can anyone help?
Plz guide me one biggener key boards casio ctx700 ya yamha psr e373 whis is better keyboard plz.Comment
Sempet kepikiran antara ctx 700/800 atau psr373, akhirnya saya memutuskan utk mengambiiiilll.... eng ing eng >> psr 463...!! Gag nyambung y... tp mgkn masih berkaitan koq penjelasannya.. krn pas saya coba antara ctx 700/800 ma psr 373, utk suara lbh suka yamaha yaa.. walaupun banyak yg bilang suara casio krn lbh real, ntahh knp saya lbh suka suara yamaha ya, beneran harus coba bandingin suara antara keduanya, kalo bisa dengerin langsung ya... walaupun mgkn utk fitur2 sama variasi style lbh unggul casio, tp kalo buat saya keunggulan suara yamaha lbh utama dibandingkan fitur2 ny casio, makany saya milih yamaha.. nah kalo nanya kenapa pilih 463 bukan 373, krn suara yamaha udah ok, fitur live control ma groove creator menurut saya sebanding dgn kelebihannya makanya lbh mantep pilihanny ke yamaha 463 dibanding 373..
Tp kalo antara psr 373 ma ctx700/800, saya lbh milih 373 krn pertimbangan suaranya tadi...
For me Casio wins😍😍😍

Jeremy. Thanks for the video. I am going to buying for a 10yr old who is keen on learning to play. Which has the best self tuition features and which one would you recommend. Note in Thailand the Casio is about 25% cheaper
Well done Jeremy sir
Looking forward to YAMAHA PSR SX 600 !!! ❤️
Which one's sound in grand piano do u like most
Does MIDI 2 USB cable from general keyboard (for eg Casio CTX 870) send Notations to a Notation software(for eg Finale Notepad) in a computer.. ? kindly guide..
Can i play the Casio CTX700 with my speakers?
My budget is 13k and i can't raise it more
SIR PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHERE AND WHAT SHOULD I SACRIFICE PLEASE TELL ME AND TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I PURCHASE...
Thanks for sharing.
how is the difference and feel of the „box-shaped“ keys to the ones on the yamaha?
do the box shaped keys have a more authentic feel?
@@JeremySee If I had a complaint, well 2. The function button. Oh Yamaha, the function button. 70 or so presses to go around the loop. I would pay an extra $10 for a better way. Second is the octave shift (and pitch shift) require the use of the dreaded function button. Oh Yamaha, the function button. Please Yamaha. Fix the function button. There must be a better way.
Yup! That "function" loop is getting unwieldy as more functions are added over the last 10 years!
which has better piano sound, e373 or ct x800?
Really can't decide which one of 'em to choose. I'm a bit lacking of budget
Ctx 700 has got freeze button.is the same available e 373.
Somebody Pl answer.anxious.waiting for reply
Are box keys better or the Yamaha ones?
It kind of cuts off abruptly at the end. So which one is the winner? It's unclear.
I got my new Casio ctx-800 keyboard 🎹 & I love it!!!!!
Rock on!
Sir this is really helpful ... Bt then too Korg pa300 ND Yamaha ... That will jzt 🔥
Is it true that the CT-700 has a hiss sound when using the audio out? I read a review on Amazon that said it did but I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else.
I have recorded so many videos using audio out did you hear any hiss? 😅
I absolutey say "No, it is not". I have recordered the sound using audio out several times.
Use stereo line out cables (instead of mono cables )to prevent from hiss sound
Um, the keyboard you mentioned is an early-'90s model.
I want to buy a keyboard but I don't know which one. I just want to play as a hobby, I don't want to be a singer or anything similar, just play some songs but with a pleasant sound and related to price-quality
Thanks brother for the info. Today i ordered casio ct x800 for my 5yr old son..he is interested in piano.
Hello Brother. Please can u make a video Of YAMAHA PSR I400 all function rhythm settings memory banks and adjustment.
There is functioning doesn't matter if
Ctx 700 has not that quality which yahama has . Ctx had aix sound engine which is better but why the sound quality is bad to hear even ctk has better quality so I preffer yahama

Hi Jeremy , please do a video for 2024 on the best keyboards for beginners and intermediate users
