One of the most amazing flight of my life, splendidly filmed by Brian Drake, the day before his last wingsuit jump, in March 2014.

Wow wow and wow. Brian was the camera by himself. So close all the time in this beauty of a ridiculous long line. This happend years ago. Thanks for this wonderful flight.

Incredible flying ! In some areas it looked like you were only 10’ above the ground! Some risky biscuits there mr. Zinger! I wish you all the luck in your daring adventures may God be with you! Excellent video footage!
Incredible. Flying down the mountainside. In reality falling from a very high altitude but in a control manner. Either way, AWESOME!

@@volhumain I believe that. This is not something you want to try right out of the box. This is not an impulse sport by any definition. Preparation may take some of the risk out it, but smallest of mistakes at that speed with such close proximity to so many "hard thing" could be detrimental. I have to say you have guts, skills, and expertise. Kudos.

Amazing line. I've always wondered if it would be possible to land on a snowy slope like this. Given the right circumstances like deep powdery snow and maybe some headwind, wouldn't it be possible to land with a nice and slow flare/stall a meter or so above?

It almost looks like he could easily land on the soft snow beneath him... amazing flight. But the death of these pilots really is hard to take. Seeing such a masterpiece and then finding out the pilot is dead all-ready ...again.
But what a way to go ha
there is nothing special if somebody dies, just a part of this business.
There are quite a lot of memorial videos for wing suit pilots. Their jumps were all pretty dangerous though.
25% fatality rate = 1 out of 4 eat it. The odds are proving accurate by the number of memorials and tributes for wingsuiters, recently.
hello Edmund. I would be glad to know where you got these numbers from? According to the maths the fatality rate is 1 out of 60. That's still way too high I agree, and it is our responsibility to change it...
How?
With education. Education of the jumpers. There is more and more data and learning available on the Planet. This sport Is dangerous, so there will always be incidents, but we can do our best to avoid accidents.

Vincent Descols - those numbers 25% fatality rate came from a video by a wingsuiter. It was a couple of months back and will have to look it up if possible. I was shocked at the number since skydiving doesn't even come close. It's the base jumping that is the problem and the insanity of proximity wingsuiting trying to get too close obsticles for effect. Which to me is a disguised death wish. The ground and obsticles are the enemy. Wingsuiting is gliding at best not flying and falling at it's most obvious. Free will allows for committing suicide or flirting with death whether for cheap thrills, adrinaline rush or facing fears.
