      Incredible yet of course an engine would do this a mere GM would struggle probably possibly be able to though

    Thank you for sharing this game! It was epic, it was brutal! You mentioned Nez, he's is one of my favourite players of all time. To honour him with a Stockfish game shows Nez's incredible talent. His legendary queen sacrifice game rates among the best of all time. To realise he worked out that sacrifice so early in the game shows how far ahead he could calculate, like what we know what Stockfish (and other engines) do today. Nez was Tal's nemesis... you could say Tal's Tal!

      I think you can make million versions of this game, because it is so complex, and every version would be good. Sometimes people want even less sidelines covered, sometimes even more, sometimes just the game without any explanation, sometimes more opening theory, sometimes more endgame perspective, I don't know. But I told Agad about this game because he has so many viewers and it would be a shame that a big chess audience doesn't see this epic game.

    It's spelled Nezhmetdinov, with the "t" before the "d". It doesn't matter much. We know who it is.

  • @pawr97
    @pawr97 9 месяцев назад +1

    Engines often seem to drag lost games on for as many moves as possible but here I would have thought PlentyChess could have centralized the King and given up the rook for the last pawn to extend the game another 20-30 moves in the B+N+K vs K ending. It apparently chose not to do that.

    And we monkeys would have at least immediately moved the knight on c3 with discovered check, minimum, to calm our fear and try to disturb our opponent.

      Yeah, the great thing is actually the tension on the diagonal that is present through the whole game.
