Absolutely...This is not even a contest. It has some to do with the cameras and editing, but....their performance in this version just happened to be the best ever...dumbluck? Maybe...but who cares! We have a piece of Gold here!
Tofu And-Tofu wanna know what’s hilarious? He’s had those braces multiple times over the years (see 1995 Jools Holland appearance) and did he change his style of playing once? Nope, he did not
2:23 looks like a comedy episode of Radiohead where they had to move his body like a puppet so it looks like he is singing because he has fallen asleep or he has hit his head with something.
Well I was listening all of the Radiohead recordings and even when In Rainbows is such a great album I still fave Ok Computer, it's a classic all time ever!! it's my own taste of music anyway! you can fave whatever you want guys.. cheers!
Hey man I was there! What a show! I couldn't believe they played this. Along with Fake Plastic Trees and Karma Police. Such vintage songs and they did them so well.
i saw them live last august 2008 at Parc Jean Drapeau In Montreal QC, one the best concerts i have ever been and i have ever seen in my 25 years old of life. it was awesome, i hope to see Radiohead as soon as possible. 5 / 5
"The headshrinkers They want everything My Uncle Bill My belisha beacon" Classic example of wanting the lyrics to sound a certain way and then afterwards finding words that fit, Phil Collins and Bret Anderson of Suede write in a similar way, the lyrics on paper are utter nonsense but fit perfectly in the context of the melody/sound
no matter how times i watch this video, it never ceases to amaze me RADIOHEAD RULE!!!!!!!!! ps if anyone disagrees i will force ok computer into their ears and the bends if they still defie the genius that is thom and Johny
That's because they were both heavily influenced by the pixies if anything. Radiohead did the quiet to loud dynamic in most of their pablo honey songs but that has nothing to do with nirvana. remember nirvana only popularized it after hearing the pixies. They both got that from the pixies so can't it just be a coincidence?
there are indeed stickers, there's two stickers and they are in the in rainbows style art, and on the stickers are instructions on how to make your very own cd hard case, and lyrics booklet and such, but the stickers are really cool
It's a tele plus, which means it already has the lace sensor pickups installed. There are some other modifications on the guitar too, that Jonny and Plank put in
it's not just because they both have arpeggios in the main riff doesn't mean it was influenced by heart shaped-box. This guitar riff is more complex than hsb. They originally made this song in 1993 but didn't play it live until 1994. They both made the songs the same year.
This expresses modern (emotional) childhood stretching into adulthood. Educated, dissaffected humanities students who don't know practical knowledge - how to fix machinery, ie. survive on their own, - so they'll sit and humm until they are rescued. But its okay he is saying as long as you face up to it and do something about it.
Yep, this song is about how they hate Creep. And they do play "Iron Lung" and "Karma Police" these days. They were played a total of 9 and 16 times respectively this summer tour.
2nd best song by radiohead, there there best 1 but there are soo many good songs by them 5 or 6 specifically, but ultimately there there is different class, i listen to it everytime i play football to make me happy and psyched and yes thats football not soccer
Were you there in this New york Concert? wow that is amazing, this concert is very special for me, was the first i saw of them in tv, and really made fall in love with the band, I've beeb in three radiohead concerts, but I 'd love having been in this one...Saludos!
but good sir hold the phone. In rainbows might not of sold as many albums, but remember it was offered for pay what you want download, so it is one of their bigger albums, its just hard to find out how big
i put them together because i just can't choose which i like more! it was my first too and i love it but i pales in the face of almost everything they did after it. and i know ok computer is a really obvious choice, but there is a reason it was selected by many as the best album ever.
i think there still the best band on the planet, theres no one who writes better songs than them, granted the latest album wasn't their best but overall theres no better band
you know, for the longest time, I didn't listen to radiohead simply because muse is my absolute favorite band, and the derogatory comments on their videos from overzealous radiohead fans really put me off. So, I'm just now discovering them. I'm just saying, all of you people throwing the irrelevant debate in everyone's face? STOP.
For a second, I imagined myself being in heaven... I imagined myself being in that concert.... for a second, I thought I was in heaven... Man!, when are they comming to Peru!!!!
@redkopite4life That they do, that they do. It's unfortunate that people get so vicious about it, because they're both such amazing bands. I love them both too.
That tempo change to the chorus is the best thing ever.
The best live version of this song there is.
laserfloyd uujjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
Search for Earls Court 2003 My Irong Lung version, is better:)
Absolutely...This is not even a contest. It has some to do with the cameras and editing, but....their performance in this version just happened to be the best ever...dumbluck? Maybe...but who cares! We have a piece of Gold here!
Idk the recording of the song itself is from a live performance
that intro is mental
The best versions of my iron lung imo are the older ones, they are so pure
Greenwood wore an arm brace due to a repetitive strain injury attributed to his "aggressive" way of playing the instrument
Tofu And-Tofu wanna know what’s hilarious? He’s had those braces multiple times over the years (see 1995 Jools Holland appearance) and did he change his style of playing once?
Nope, he did not
ooo so that’s what that’s for
jonny rocks so hard he needs an arm brace to protect him from himself each time he plays
Ed was killing it here!
2:23 looks like a comedy episode of Radiohead where they had to move his body like a puppet so it looks like he is singing because he has fallen asleep or he has hit his head with something.
i can't believe it! this is the first video i watched on youtube back in 2008
This song slaps!!! And i loved this performance, brilliant!
Your profile pic slaps. Blur and Radiohead Forever.
BLUR AND RADIOHEAD
Man I love that slide he does at 0:11
Well I was listening all of the Radiohead recordings and even when In Rainbows is such a great album I still fave Ok Computer, it's a classic all time ever!! it's my own taste of music anyway! you can fave whatever you want guys.. cheers!
3:49 WHAT THE HELL JONNY. I LOVE IT AHAHHAA
had to preface the sound quality because you definitely wouldn’t think of it with that camera 😭😭
This is one of RH's best live performances EVER. They totally nailed it... "better than studio" nailed it.
I love the way how Jonny moves on the stage
atmosphere is incredible on this one
this is brutal.
Kris Charlton
4:58 especially the end here, pretty gnarly
Brutal
Hey man I was there! What a show! I couldn't believe they played this. Along with Fake Plastic Trees and Karma Police. Such vintage songs and they did them so well.
y de repente un comentario en Español... :)
Thom yorke’s swearing makes every other’s profanities sound like what 6 year olds are allowed to say without getting grounded and i love it
GREAT!!!
ED O' Brien perform is fabulous with his effects.
Ed is very good looking, sensual!
i saw them live last august 2008 at Parc Jean Drapeau In Montreal QC, one the best concerts i have ever been and i have ever seen in my 25 years old of life.
it was awesome, i hope to see Radiohead as soon as possible.
5 / 5
That intro was perfect :')
they are timeless and brilliant
this is the best song of radiohead ever, it just have it all
"The headshrinkers
They want everything
My Uncle Bill
My belisha beacon"
Classic example of wanting the lyrics to sound a certain way and then afterwards finding words that fit, Phil Collins and Bret Anderson of Suede write in a similar way, the lyrics on paper are utter nonsense but fit perfectly in the context of the melody/sound
Amazing, wonderfoul, incredible. Radiohead, we do LOVE YOU
no matter how times i watch this video, it never ceases to amaze me
RADIOHEAD RULE!!!!!!!!! ps if anyone disagrees i will force ok computer into their ears and the bends if they still defie the genius that is thom and Johny

Oh maan thank you...this just made my day
Those fuckings bendings.. he doesn't need the Whammy Pedal lol
wow it's insane!
i just love radiohead
One of the very best live performances of all time right here.
You know this is the first song I learnt to play on the guitar.
I was 19, and I didnt know the words.
I just saw them in St. Louis in May & they played it then. It was absolutely electrifying.
amazing slap bass
You have to have iron lungs, to play and sing this tremendous song ...
It scared the fuck out of me when I first heard it at age 14
That was epic.
Legendary
I agree.
Pretty sure the line "This, this is our new song
Just like the last one" confirms that.
Ed is playing a stratocaster. Jonny and Thom are playing teles.
light 'em up if ya got 'em.
there are indeed stickers, there's two stickers and they are in the in rainbows style art, and on the stickers are instructions on how to make your very own cd hard case, and lyrics booklet and such, but the stickers are really cool

Radio4ever
Amazing song.
it's not just because they both have arpeggios in the main riff doesn't mean it was influenced by heart shaped-box. This guitar riff is more complex than hsb. They originally made this song in 1993 but didn't play it live until 1994. They both made the songs the same year.
that is unreal
very good.
@jestoon425 it's an E-Bow, it's basically a string synthesizer and gives your guitar infinite sustain
ScraTch!!!! i love that part... greenwood+ yorke just doing what they do best
Touché
THIS SONG SHOULD HAVE 1¨000,000¨000,000 VIEWS
yeah.. he said in an interview that he wore it the same way that somebody would wrap their ankle before a soccer game
Thats perfectlly how to some this song up :) good man!!!!
OK, thanks.
Superb

I like how it starts slow and at the end it's like so intense :D 5/5
and he uses an e-bow at the start, which actually does give infinite sustain
The Bends is an incredible album man. I love em all, but the Bends and OKC are tops for me. (In Rainbows very close as well)
help anyone knows how tf does he make that sound in 3:52? it seem like the whammy, but he is like kinda far from his pedalboard
This song fits perfectly on some things i've been through lately
Faith , your driving me away ....... That's just freaking genius
2nd best song by radiohead, there there best 1
but there are soo many good songs by them 5 or 6 specifically,
but ultimately there there is different class, i listen to it everytime i play football to make me happy and psyched and yes thats football not soccer
Godrich definetly brought very useful energy to the band
Were you there in this New york Concert? wow that is amazing, this concert is very special for me, was the first i saw of them in tv, and really made fall in love with the band, I've beeb in three radiohead concerts, but I 'd love having been in this one...Saludos!
originally he wore it for RSI but now he wears it only once in a while. He's said its like a habit now.
yeah its from the bends.. a great album i recommend you buy it
i third that motion
Haha! Awesome.
but good sir hold the phone. In rainbows might not of sold as many albums, but remember it was offered for pay what you want download, so it is one of their bigger albums, its just hard to find out how big
This song rocks, the heavy part kinda reminds me of Chevelle's first album,
I love Chevelle, they're nu metal's Radiohead.
I can play this song. Its fucking generosity or however you spell that. Fuck me i love this.
@099749 cont..
not the whole song, and then in India after playing the little bit I knew, for 11 years, I looked the words up.
i put them together because i just can't choose which i like more! it was my first too and i love it but i pales in the face of almost everything they did after it. and i know ok computer is a really obvious choice, but there is a reason it was selected by many as the best album ever.
HOW can anyone NOT love them???
Badass
Haunting intro
both!
Que grandes guitarristas,,,y despues en los ultimos albumes ya casi no usan las guitarras, es una lastima
Thom Yorke.
word
Man, Thom's voice is just so amazing, man.
i think there still the best band on the planet, theres no one who writes better songs than them, granted the latest album wasn't their best but overall theres no better band
Those two albums are superb but so are Kid A, Amnesiac and In Rainbows.
@iamsasquatchjunior The bass comes at 0:25
ole que temazo illo!!
Does anyone know when and where this was performed!? I'd love to watch the full set :)
I think this is from the Jools Holland concert in 1997, but I am not sure.
Not Jools Holland, New york ballroom or something, 1997 towards the end of the big ok computer tour. The full set used to be on youtube.
+Alejandro Bellizzi Yeah deff not Jools Holland. Maybe The Bowery Ballroom or Terminal 5, if its in NY?
paris
+Danny Pearson Hammerstein Ballroom - NEW YORK
it was Truly fucking awesome.
By the way, dou you live here in Montreal?
you know, for the longest time, I didn't listen to radiohead simply because muse is my absolute favorite band, and the derogatory comments on their videos from overzealous radiohead fans really put me off.
So, I'm just now discovering them.
I'm just saying, all of you people throwing the irrelevant debate in everyone's face?
STOP.
When crowd was a rocker crowd
you do it everyday, you dont mean but it hurts like hell. . .
For a second, I imagined myself being in heaven... I imagined myself being in that concert.... for a second, I thought I was in heaven... Man!, when are they comming to Peru!!!!
oh my god..
Can someone send me this version pleaaaase? i need it, send me a mail if you have it please =)
@redkopite4life
That they do, that they do. It's unfortunate that people get so vicious about it, because they're both such amazing bands. I love them both too.
