4th grade. Handball court in line. Went to fart and a golf ball sized poo rolled down my leg and onto the ground. Everyone laughed and Justin tried to kick it. His kicking foot was not flush against the ground and it rolled under his shoe and he effectively stepped on my shit. Was quite the ordeal.
I worked at Amex for 7 years in the High Value Client channel. Its not link to any particular card rather caters to members who have a long tenure and also are the the small 20% that spend 80% of the money. Seeing charges in the relm of 100-500k a month was not rare. These folks would pay their card off in full every month. You needed to have extreme training and tenure to be able to take these calls as hey were classified as High value clients. Amex is top knotch company and one of the best employers. They taught me a lot of things that I use now in my own business.
My favourite was their city guides when I had the card. The Weissmann on even my own city shows me something I didn't know. Those usually make for an interesting activity or date. For places I haven't been, it's a quick and easy way to grasp what I want to do there. Easy for them, easy for me.
Man your videos make me want to join the amex family. I have not yet. I just recently got the citi custom card but im doing all my research on the amex platinum to see if it is a fit for me
I could do most of that job, but the only part that I’d get myself fired for is if someone asked me for info about their S/O’s activities, I’d squeal like a pig, especially if I knew that they were up to no good. Glad I don’t have that job
Awesome video! Two questions: How much do these services cost? So like if a client wanted 2 tickets to a sold-out Justin Bieber concert and the only way they could get them is if they paid a scalper $10K, do they tell the client first, get the authorization, then bill them the $10K? 2nd Question: What’s the most you can charge on the card? Specifically the Centurion because supposedly you can’t be turned down on ANY transaction? I tried asking my local Benz and BMW dealers and they won’t do a dime over $3K. When I get the Platinum card I want to put a high spend on it but I’m thinking the only way to do that would be through ad spend. I currently use Plastiq but I don’t like the 2.5% fee and AMEX already has a lot of restrictions on what they’ll run thru on Plastiq. Would be great if you can do a video on some outrageous spending people have put on their Platinum and Centurion cards!
M Sport yes, they usually get authorization first to charge. You can charge anything on the black card. I’ve heard of someone buying a 170 million dollar painting. I only have the platinum, so I can’t speak for centurion cards though. For us in the platinum world, the general rule of thumb is no limit, but if it’s outrageous, they might decline the charge. They’ll typically allow you to charge up to 3 times your normal spend.
Love your videos but I don't understand why you have two Amex Platinum cards? Dude just help me understand why you are paying all those fees to flex? One Platinum card is not enough?
I got a call from a senior account manager for a highly targeted offer for the Amex business platinum card. I get the Wework benefit for one year and I can cancel anytime. I talked about this in my other videos.
the guy answering the questions didn't specify whether each story was for a platinum card member or a centurion. i'm certain AMEX will go much further distances for a centurion member compared to a platinum.
Let's hope Centurion members get better CS. My experience in having Platinum Card was disappointing. Customer Service was dismal. Wait on hold for MINUTES to talk to a human.... Go thru a peasant-like phone tree. Once I got to a human, often times my request, such as restaurant reservation, was not fulfilled or worse, was "lost.". For $550/year I want to talk to a human on the first pick up. Canceled my Platinum Card after numerous complaints to AMEX and filling out surveys with no improvement in Customer Services.
@@SciFiGirl007 that's odd. i got the gold 2 years ago and recently upgraded to the platinum and i have never had anything bad to say about amex customer service. literally every time i call them (from the number that's on my account) and all i do is enter the last 4 of my social and say "agent" and i immediately get transferred to a human. usually a native english speaker too. not that i care if they're american or not, but when i call in to explain something a little complicated obviously a native english speaker will understand it better with no language barrier. i haven't tried the platinum concierge service yet though..
American Express charges stores/companies a perverted amount to use their cards. If I’m spending 200,000 a year on American Express, I expect someone to walk to Switzerland if I want a video game, or and In-N-Out burger. Not to mention the $5000 yearly fee, just for the card. The concierge, is what they offer, can’t stand when people whine about their jobs

Amazing videos my man! Keep it up

I worked for AMEX Centurion in Brighton UK office. The pay was not good. I make more in my current job in NYC which is relatively the same.
Well to be fair you were in Brighton
I would use them for recommendations for traveling…personal tour guides, restaurants, sporting events, concerts, etc
Super interesting video. Actually made me interested in looking into that as a job.
