yeah i had them.... pretty much junk... they do gave some shit but it just pain to had them.... when you rich... just don't want to look after your credit card..... i
The Amex Centurion is the most popular and has the largest number of card members worldwide compared to the other ultra-exclusive cards on this list. I heard that approximately 100,000 people worldwide have the Centurion card.
@@MrNick- I think that's what he meant when he said "achieving success" (which is hard and I assume financial success). Though what he said leaves for multiple interpreations I aggre.
That's actually a brilliant networking opportunity. 10k people who are on the same level of wealth as you or more can lead to some interesting financial opportunities.
I’ve got a First Direct black credit card. It gives me the right to join the normal security queue at airports, access to the normal departure lounges, and the right to join the queue at the car hire counter or the bus queue to my final destination. There is no annual fee though.
I was so proud when my 21 year old canadian ass got approved for the BMO World Elite Black Card! Didnt expect to ever be making the 80k limit at 21... Now I have goals for 31.... ;)
One thing I really about you @The Credit Shifu is that you do not act like you know everything. Sometimes other RUclipsrs spread false information that confuses the masses.
I thought the JP Morgan Reserve card was not for Chase Private Clients, only for JP Morgan Private Bank clients. There are material differences to qualifying (over $10M of investable assets is one major difference, not just net worth). I have it and that’s what I was told. I think the AMEX Centurion Card has finally become worth it for me because of the Equinox membership and the Saks credit. It basically costs $400 a year (not including the initiation fee) when you account for those benefits. I hadn’t considered the AMEX Black Card to be a good value previously and have had my Platinum card for 20+ years (yes, I do care about value, despite being able to afford it), but now, I think I’ll accept it, assuming I get invited again by AMEX.
i just think it's so lame how they took an already renowned term about something else and are now calling it their product. the amex centurion is the REAL black card, they just never officially called it that. honestly i dont even know how mastercard got away with that.
If you look on their website they also have a GOLD CARD and it's a higher tier for some reason and even dumber looking. I actually do know two people who have the black mastercard and I asked them about it and they both admitted they just wanted it and barely use them
I got approved for the Coutts silk card today . Can’t wait to try out the concierge after lockdown . You even get sent a video voiced by joanna lumley reading all the pre contract information when applying . Little bit different
In a previous career I had the centurion for business expenses (I myself am not affluent at all, just average middle class). It attracts the wrong type of attention and I would just stick with platinum as the novelty wears off quickly. Stay safe and healthy everyone!
I worked at a restaurant where we saw a lot of black cards, the first time I handled one I was just impressed by how heavy it was, other then that from my observations when someone used it was how many people paid attention to how someone else pays even other tables and new staff, after people saw it the cardholder basically just gets stared at and the conversations around the room quickly change to money and wealth. And sometimes you get someone who throws it down in the middle of the table like a big dick
You used to be able to get the JPMR as a CPC upon request as you mentioned, but they changed that a few years ago. You can pretty much only get it as a private bank client now
I've been told that it is JP Morgan Private client, which is 10M, but it is not a hard requirement. As long as you met the requirements and upgraded to JPMPC, you may remove some money out as long as you still have a large amount in there. It won’t downgrade you unless your balance is significantly low.
You forgot about the exclusive card from bank of America. Which has no credit limit as long as you have it played back within a certain time frame which I think is 1 , 3 or 6 months. I dont know of any specific bonuses that you might get with this card cause my father never talked about it. I do know you need either a certain net worth or a certain amount of money being cycled through your hands in a given time frame.
The best one is clearly the Dubai First Royale in Gold and diamond with absolutely no benefit... 😂😂😂 When i thought that the €590 fee of my Amex AF/KL Platinum was way too high...
I’m wondering when will the major Airlines start offering. Once in a lifetime specials on buying airline miles/points? Because of the current situation.
is american express bank a retail banking or private banking only? how can I open an offshore bank account in amex? im from the philippines? what is the meaning of rbs?
American Express does credit cards and savings accounts in the US, you can go on their Philippines website and see what services they provide in your country. RBS = Royal Bank of Scotland
@@TheCreditShifu Coutts is no longer as exclusive as it was. Now you just have to be rich to bank there, like the Beckham family and other so called celebrities. How will this virus situation in general affect credit in situations where people aren’t required to pay in this volatile situation? For example: renters being barred from evictions and therefore you’re racking up debt until the situation is cleared up and evictions are allowed again. Will we take hits on our credit?
Pay all of your bills as normal regardless of grace periods given... why accrue debt if you don't have to? If you can't pay the rent, you best get with your landlord and work something out ASAP. Credit score will be the least of your worries then.

Credit cards with no FX fees in the UK are not rare, most banks have one. Halifax have a quite popular one (Halifax Clarity), NatWest/RBS do (creatively named their Credit Card), Barclays has one too (Barclaycard Reward) and Santander does too (Santander Zero). Just to name a few 😄 it's actually harder to find current accounts (also known as a checking account, but we don't call them that here) with no FX fees, but neobanks such as Starling Bank and Monzo are popularizing it.
