    Thank you so much! Your explanation is clear and easy to follow. I had bought a pattern but didn’t realise it was a C2C figure, and I was lost on how to begin. 😅

    I came to You Tube AGAIN, with massive chip on my shoulder, wondering why I cannot "get" this C2C. Somehow, the powers that be, plopped me down to your video. Reluctantly, I started watching. There was nothing that anyone hadn't said or showed me before, so I was ready to just give up C2C. I am 73hundred years old, been crocheting since I was 6, no internet back then, just Grandma and neighbors. Learning crochet or knitting wasn't pleasant, more a right of passage.
    You have HELPED ME!!! I cannot believe it! I have no idea what it is/was, perhaps your "grandmotherly" voice, your hands, I don't know! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

    How do you figure out the right side from wrong side

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  2 года назад

      If the graphic doesn't have any writing and the image is symetrical then doing it c2c makes it double sided. If it has writing or has a certain direction to it, then that would determine which side is the right side.

  • @prophetmelvinholmes3275

    So I see you have 25 squares across how many would make a good size queen blanket

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  6 месяцев назад

      @@prophetmelvinholmes3275 it depends on your tension. I would make a six inch swatch and see how many blocks it takes. Then you can see how many blocks it would take for the size you want.

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  Год назад

      If your working yarn is close to wear the next stitches are, you can just carry the yarn up. If it will be skipping more than 2 or 3 stitches, I would cut my yarn and reattach it where you need it.

    How much yarn would you need and how long did it take you to do it. And can you do Mickey mouse

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  3 года назад

      For this video, I was teaching how to do the c2c stitch using a graph. I can't really tell you how much yarn that is necessary to make the square. But it was not a very large square, so I don't think the it would take a lot. Mickey Mouse is a copyrighted character, so I would not be able to do a tutorial on his image.

      You can look into programs like stitchfiddle.com . It is a free website where you can upload your image and resize it to however many squares across that you want. My hubby has done it for me. I am not that techy so I really couldn't tell you how to do it.

    Lost right off the bat. Where does the chart say chain six etc?? Are there written directions that accompany it?

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  5 лет назад

      For this video, I was provided the chart and asked to teach how to crochet a graphgan following the chart using the Corner to Corner method of crochet. The chain six is part of the corner to corner method. There were no written directions. If you are not familiar with the basic corner to corner method, I do have a tutorial that teaches just the stitch method without following a chart. It may be easier to learn the stitch method first before trying to follow a charted graph. Here is a link to my basic corner to corner method of crochet: ruclips.net/video/6AUPQ4-wfyk/видео.html
