This Demo is a much better product demonstration than every official Roland Video I saw! Absolute stunning how much better this Kit could sound if somebody knows how to play and tweak the factory sounds! Still not a Roland fan (soundwise) but very impressed!

Gosh, what an incredible drummer! Kit sounds pretty good too. Would love to have a drum sound that lend themselves well to Reggae. Maybe one of these does and I’m too inexperienced to hear it. I’m also liking the look of them drums here too.

Some day very soon I'll get a drumset just like that roland,drum tec,I just can't stand by looking at my drumset everyday that just sits at home,it's good to have a electronic drumset at band practice or mainly at home(only stays at the house..)

@@williamperri3437 I've had it for a few months now and I just got the regular stock sounds but the amount that you can create custom sounds is unbelievable this is the single greatest investment I ever made I play it hard every single day an it just feels and sounds so good.

No matter how great your playing is Ralf, These Roland on-board sounds still dont quite cut it in my opinion. Will always use Toontrack software. They still sound Metallic and Digital.
Gotta remember this is only a $1200 or so module. The new version of the TD-50x sounds quite good at only double the price! lol
The DW Big Maple preset you did for the TD-30 is my absolute fave 👏 would be great if you could adapt it to the TD-27 🤞

I won't lie, as a Tama aficionado I liked that Starclassic sound. But the snare was tuned kinda low.
Ralf, would you choose a TD27 module or a GEWA G5 if it mainly will be used for triggering Superior Drummer 3 and other VST sounds?
So I’m going to guitar center with my irig pro duo and my iPhone,. The associates are wanting to see how it would sound using a simple plug in and recording session. . Hope it sounds descent, cause if the drums sound up to par to my liking, then I’m definable going to invest on this drum kit

Ich würde ja sofort die TD-27 Diabolo oder VAD Version kaufen. Aber aktuell sind die Sets nicht verfügbar oder mit 20 Wochen Wartezeit 😱
Aber wenn die Zeit gekommen ist wird es auf jeden Fall ein Set von drum-tec, da die zusätzlichen Snare Samples dem Modul einfach den Punch geben, der ihm fehlt.
Richtig, leider hat Roland aktuell ein Lieferproblem mit den neuen TD-27 Modulen, die VAD kits werden absehbar erst im Mai/Juni verfügbar sein. TD-27 Module sollten deutlich früher verfügbar sein, du kannst dich gerne an info@drum-tec.de wenden um dich auf dem Laufenden halten zu lassen. Viele Grüße!

Hello, I recently buy your shop an ATV set without module, Would the ATV hat works with td-27? And also if you plug the USB with Roland ride and Snare, will it LEAVE free to use the other standard connections then unpluged for another Snare ans ride or other stuff? Thanks
Hi, generally speaking the ATV kit is 100% compatible with the TD-27. But you can´t use the analog snare/ride inputs of the module, while the digital snare & ride are connected (just like with TD-50). The TD-27 has 4 AUX trigger inputs though, so you can connect some more pads easily. For any further questions, please get in touch through info@drum-tec.de! Kind regards

Hey Jason, exactly. These kits are part of the drum-tec Live Sound Edition, that comes with the TD-27 for free when purchasing from drum-tec. Unfortunately I do not have any first hand experiences with the TD-27 in a live setting, but generally speaking the 2 stereo outs + 2 direct outs will give you / the FOH the possibility to adjust some additional mixing outside the module if neccessary. What pad sensitivity are you setting the toms at?

Do you know whether this module will work with ATV's HiHat? As far as I remember there were some issues with TD-17...
Hi, the ATV hats will be fully adjustable with the TD-27, as it has VH-13 compatibility and a VH-13 trigger preset. So you can adjust open/close finetuning with the offset setting inside of the module (TD-17 does not have this feature as it is not compatible with VH-13). Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV I was testing td27 with my ATV hihat (on vh-13 preset), basically everything was working except the foot splash - I couldn't trigger it (even though footsplash sensitivity was set to highest value)
@@TheSzypki I think for the footsplash to work, the offset has to be set correctly to zero when you have losened your hihat screw & both cymbals are closed together. If you change the offset from the standard calibration with a VH-13, the foot splash will neither work. Same for VH-10/Vh-11, if the calibration is not accurate, you lose the foot splash articulation. That might be a problem with the ATV, since it needs a little reduced offset as far as I remember so you can get a tight closed sound. Maybe play around with the offset value it a bit & test when you are able to perform a foot splash? Kind regards!
Can I buy the sample pack separately? You have a bunch of other digital download packs for other modules, but for some reason the TD-27 ones are only in packages requiring you to buy the hardware...

Hey Nick, thank you very much! Please keep in mind, that all current Roland modules being TD-50, TD-27 and TD-17 share a lot of basic sounds/samples. So there might be some similarities here & there, but still there is a rather well audible difference between the different modules & sound editions if you listen side by side. Kind regards!

I would definitely purchase this as a DL. Roland released a "Premier Collection" sets / sounds upgrade recently. Update was a snap as was restoring my saved settings / kits.

I own the TD 27 and I am in love with it, honestly best investment I ever made, but I updated my SD card and the module updated but I can't seem to find the 10 new kits, it says on Roland's website that the new kits are Drum kit No.2, 4, 6, 14, 15, 16, 19, 23, 25, 65 but they all seem the same and when I got to kit 65 its an empty user kit, so I'm confused. Not sure if i did something wrong or what but it says I have the latest updated version. Any help would be appreciated.
@@grxygxds - Yo \m/ - check if your "TD-27 System Program" is version 1.10. If so, you should have the kits. If you're not on that version, here is the DL page: www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/td-27/updates_drivers/b0019c30-7b4a-48a6-9beb-189b1e6857af/ -- If you do have 1.10 and you don't see the kits, and you don't want to go through Roland support, you could back up what you have to SD, factory reset, then re-apply the update. After the update you should see the kits. And then you can restore any of your customized kits from your backup to whatever user kits slots you may have left. GL \m/

Everything you guys at Drum-Tec touch turns to gold so I'm just going to convert my savings and retirement to a multitude of your products.. at least I can have a little fun with it all before it becomes necessary to cash in. :):):)
So annoying to see Roland with such great products on pads, cymbals, triggering technology, playability and insisting on this outdated emulation route on regards to sound...
You do realise there sounds are sampled drums, just heavily processed right?
Looks like you guys are missing out on money by not releasing these for us to buy without having to buy the module from you guys. Terrible marketing whoever is in charge.
There already are new TD-27 sound editions ready for release, but I am currently in baby holiday so I can't shoot new demo videos until jan 2021. Please stay tuned & don't get mad, it just takes a while to develop new products, then make them ready for distribution and produce the demos. A lot of people & work are involved in this process, and the Sound Editions are only a very small part of every day business at drum-tec. Kind regards!

Each kit Toms sounds TERRIBLE!!! Even the Ambulance Kit And the Wide Open Kit the Kick n Snare sounds badass BUT TOMS DOES NOT EVEN MATCH???

And don’t get started with in 2020 Roland still uses a 1980s Game Boy Nintendo screen VERY SMALL??
