I'm living in San Cristobal de las Casas and loving every second of it! Living abroad in Mexico has been great and there's always so much to see and so many things to do in Chiapas.

I’m a solo female traveler in Mexico. I’ve been in Mexico for a year now and love living abroad. Mexican culture has so much to offer so I’m excited to be exploring Chiapas. San Cristobal de las Casas Is a beautiful mountain town in Mexico. Totally different from Playa del Carmen Mexico. I am choosing to move to San Cristobal and am so excited!
For people saying “Omg i cant believe u feed the dog and not the kid” 🥴
Those kids aren’t street kids. They have food. They have parents (who were there). Tourists ALL DAY give them money and food. I’m just another tourist the boy wanted something from. And was hitting me and trying to break my camera for. Yall Can be mad somewhere else or fly there and buy him some food. 😂😂 Plus, we gave him money at the end (which is why you can see him jumping up and down at the end) so if he really is hungry, he can buy whatever he wants. Should I have given the kid steak and the dog money? Cmon now.
The dog is overlooked, has no one, and is not getting fed every day. So yup, he gets my attention. I don’t feel one ounce of sorry 😌😌

Oh the poor puppy had such sad eyes. He was craving food and love. You can tell he’s been abused. He was afraid you might hurt him. Thank you for feeding him. I loved seeing his tail wagging so hard.
i don’t think he was abused.. hes just a street dog and hungry. Usually the ones who a are abused are more fiesty and dog like touches .. but yeah he was so happy he got to eat 💛
It was rude buying food for the dog but not the kid it's how we know society it's all mess up

I was going to say the same thing. Most dog food has rice and it would have actually filled him up. He needed so much more than than that little bit of steak. But at least he got something.

He was so happy to eat his steak. I couldn't help but leave my comment to thank you soo much for what you did for the doggie. I love dogs, and my heart melted when I saw him so excited eating his meal.

Welcome to my state, Chiapas has a lot of beautiful places, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, beaches, forest, jungle, mountains, churches, mayan ruins, cultural events and more... So all things that you see are so cheap...

The thought of moving to Chiapas has been lingering in my mind for some time. Seeing your videos gave me that push and I got the guts to tell my job that I’ll be taking a month to live there. I am soooo excited Chiapas is such a healing place🙏🏼✨
Another great video. My dog absolutely loves fries. Her fancy dog food also has rice in it, so it’s definitely safe for the fur babies.

I’m sure honey , but it’s not good for them . Because they can’t digest grease & certain oils . The only oil they can digest & its good for them it’s canola oil . Of course in moderation , I have a Yorkshire Terrier & he has lots of allergies 🤧. Unfortunately for him . Because , he lives : mangoes 🥭, strawberries 🍓, blueberries 🫐, watermelon 🍉, pineapple 🍍,French fries 🍟, bananas 🍌. Lol 😂 the only thing he would not eat it’s rocks 🪨. But unfortunately we adopted him , and unfortunately every have spent thousands of dollars 💵. In Veterinary bills 💵, they were taking our $ & not getting to the root of the problem . Dogs 🐕 can’t have any table food 🥘, they’ll die sooner. Or develop many allergies 🤧, my Yorkshire has to have , special food 🥘, shampoo 🧴. Cannot go outdoors . We finally found an honest Vet & he did many allergy tests . And after spending over $ $11,000.00 for test only . Plus new treatment which is costly & he has to be on it for 5 years . We finally found out he suffers from 22 allergies !
So if you ever want to adopt a puppy 🐶 or a dog 🐕 do your research 🧐. And find out what foods they can & cannot eat. !
I am going ro have to say something as a Mexican. I respectfully ask white and black americans that want to cone to Mexico to only bring positive attitudes. Mexican ppl are very hard working ppl, some have have endured a lot of poverty and they still don't complain, Versus some Americans looooove to complain about everything. Some have a victim mentality because they think they have been treated unfairly due to the color of their skin, some feel superior to Mexicans bla bla bla. We want hard working ppl, humble ppl. Leave your bad attitudes behind. Mexico is not the richest country as far as infrastructure but we are wealthy in resources, amazing food, the hospitality of its ppl, joy and family bonds. So welcome to Mexico whoever wants to be Mexican and embrace the culture. If you do we take you in immediately as one of our own. Also when you encounter ppl in Mexico acknowledge them. Say buenos dias, buenas tardes. Because I have seen so many americans pass by me and they wont even say Hi or acknowledge you. In Mexico they look like they are snobbish or rude. In Mexico acknowledging ppl is a must. When you go to the meat market before you ask for what you want greet the person selling the meat first. That way you will cone across as humble and warm in Mexico.
I don't agree with the victim mentality blurb they're are books explaining the American system. There are hardworking ppl and poverty everywhere. Yes, Americans are rude in general but ppl are allow to make mistakes and express themselves however they see fit.

In certain parts of Mexico, when kids or people see you giving or buying anything from them, from far away, other kids and people are watching and they gonna come running to you and try to get you to take care of them aswell. It's tuff to say no to kids hustling sometimes but, it's the best thing to do at times.

@@goodenergi wow, it happened to me a few months back in ensenada Mexico. I had a boy come up to me beggin for some change and, of course i felt bad for him as he appeared to be hungry and struggling. I gave the kid a few pesos, next thing you know i had like 10 kids following me around, pulling on my shirt beggin for change. I was like what the heck just happened smh
It definitely was uncomfortable!

Energi, stray dogs in Mexico, same as in my Island, will eat anything they can find. Rice, beans, potatoes, fish... You name it, they'll eat it!! So many literally starve to death💔

A friend of mine use to make her own dog food with chicken, rice, carrots, and cucumber finely chopped. Doggies love it!

Agua azul.(blue waters)..!! I've been there... evocative.. beautiful natural paradise. 👍...almost in the middle of the rain forest in Chiapas... not very far from there are the Palenque Mayan ruins.. awesome....!! 👍

Since I can tell you live the doggies, you can call them ‘perrito’ or even by a sweet name like ‘mi amor’ (my love)’amorsito/amor’ (lil love/or love) or ‘chulo’ (cutie or sweetie) etc. Just like we do in English!☺️💕 you’re amazing! You speak Spanish so well already, and have awesome courage and lovely energy💖💖
Oh and when you wanna call the puppers you can say ‘ven’ or ‘ven aquí’ (come / come here) ☺️❤️🙏🏽🌻

I visisted Chiapas back in 2010 for a week, it´s no wonder you decided to make that place your home, thanks for sharing your new home and adventures. I left California back in 2008 and never looked back, been living rent and mortage free ever since. Greetings from this small peaceful rural town in Zapopan State of Jalisco!

Everyone looks pretty healthy, I don't see anyone starving, they are sorrounded by pristine waters and nature, they have all the roots for nutrition, growing fruits and vegetables is not hard there, go to dry climates like some parts of Africa and other parts of the world and you'll see that you're living in paradise!

Disculpa mi ignorancia, pero por qué hay niños pidiendo que les compren comida y por qué los dejan que anden "molestando" al turismo, yo he ido a centros turísticos y es cara la comida, no me parece correcto que pidan de esa forma, no se si será molesto para los turistas. Me acuerdo que en Coyoacán en la CDMX había niños que te exigían que les compraras comida o les dieras dinero y si nos les dabas te seguían todo el tiempo y no era de que le dieras a 2 niños, se acercaban como 8 niños. No se cómo ven ustedes este tema.
