I have found that the movies that have been the biggest hit in the last couple years have had little to no marketing or were expected to be total flops. I love how all the actors/actresses are so in touch with Wicked and their characters. They all deeply feel for the story and the characters. You can really feel that they care about this project deeply and know it inside and out. I'm and the most excited to see these movies.

I wonder which is sadder, the story of Boq (now known as Boq Woodsman) or of Nick Chopper (the Tinman's name in the original Wizard of Oz book series). Not that it was mentioned in the movie of the Wizard of Oz, I think all they gave us for a backstory was that he'd been rusted solid for a year and that the tinsmith forgot to give him a heart. I love how all the actors/actresses are so in touch with Wicked and their characters. They all deeply feel for the story and the characters. You can really feel that they care about this project deeply and know it inside and out. I'm and the most excited to see these movies.

I wonder which is sadder, the story of Boq (now known as Boq Woodsman) or of Nick Chopper (the Tinman's name in the original Wizard of Oz book series). Not that it was mentioned in the movie of the Wizard of Oz, I think all they gave us for a backstory was that he'd been rusted solid for a year and that the tinsmith forgot to give him a heart. They do reference it in the stage show at least of the Wiz, but there's also the off-broadway sort of musical 'The Woodsman' if you're interested (there's music but it's mostly told through puppetry and mime, only really one song I think sung the whole way through - ruclips.net/video/vKsYYRaJQuQ/видео.html)

From what i've felt from watching slime tutorials, boq used nessa to get to glinda. It was never a "friendly relationship". And when it's clear that he can never get to her (for she is full of fiyero in her head), he became bitter and sour. Their dance is only to highlight how sour he felt his situation was because he literally worshipped glinda.
Anyway, that's just how i perceived the story. Maybe they change the script to make in more friendly with children
