I tried your drills today and it significantly changed the way I practice with Slinger. Previously, I just set the machine to shoot the ball randomly with the pivot base and I thought it would make me able to hit the balls as many as possible and get a lot of movement. But I just found that these drills make me move a lot more and hit balls more efficiently compared to the drills I use to do. Also, it uses fewer balls than it used to be. Thank you so much.
Hi Ashley. Unsure if you ever go back and reread comments from older posts, but here I am. I just wanted to commend you on a job well-done. Not only are these great practices, the musical background, just as with your Tennis Mentor opening was thoughtfully selected, obviously. It's nice to tune in to a great lesson where everything is so well fitted. Thanks for sharing...

Hi! I would like to see a video where you talk about tactical aspects. For example, perform an analysis of some moves in a game. Now let me tell you that your club is amazing! These courts are the envy of anyone .. :) Thank you.
@@TheTennisMentor Thank you, it is a very generous invitation. And from what I saw, I was very close there last November when I went to the ATP finals ... unfortunately I shouldn't be returning anytime soon but when I return it will be a great pleasure. If you come to Portugal I will also be happy to let you know about a very special club in the northern area. Best regards,
I'm going to buy a Slinger Bag quite soon and now I'm happy that I found your channel. So I'm able to improve my tennis 🙂. I wasn't sure if the Slinger Bag would be fine for me due to the cons I've heard about the top spin - and I'm a beginner - , but with your settings and guidance I'm sure I can handle it. Looking forward to watch more of your videos and your settings. Thanks a lot.
Hi Ashley. Jonathan from Steep here. I dropped in on your Mens finals last Saturday hope you won. I received my Slinger same time as you and we have the same clay court. This bag has transformed my tennis and it takes me 1 session with the bag to teach a novice how to play forehand and backhand although I am not a coach. The bag is amazing with green balls for the kids and safe. I challenge you to show me how to do a backhand volley at the net with the ball arriving just above. It's crazy hard to hit. I mainly place the bag my side of the court as it lowers the topspin.
Hi Jonathan, I hope I was playing ok?! 😅 A good move from Steep to resurface with artificial clay, it’s amazing in the winter months!! It is a good investment and a great tool for all abilities if you use it with the right settings. I also like to use it on my side of the net for an easier ‘hand fed’ style ball. Volleys are always difficult when you receive them low. The best option is to take it early (before it drops to net height), if you can’t get to it in time, hitting an angled ‘drop volley’ can give you more space to get the ball up and over the net... hit the ball forwards and it’s likely to go into the net or sit up nicely for your opponent. I hope that made sense?!
Yes of course, just set the trajectory low, the machine’s gives the ball topspin so it will be dropping low at your feet if you get the settings right! You can check out my Slinger playlist on my channel, there’s a couple with me volleying
@@TheTennisMentor Ah I see missed that. Thanks very much. Great videos by the way. Great job, slinger bag really useful during these lockdowns etc but generally too - Your videos help mix up rather than doing same usual drills!

Hello there, I love your Channel... I just bought a Slinger Bag, and I was thinking about using "Old Balls" on it, but I was thinking that maybe it is better using "Pressureless Balls" instead. Do you recommend Pressureless balls?
In the slinger I currently use Wilson trinity. Pressureless balls are convenient for me in the ball machine as they’ll last for months. They’re not the most comfortable to play with though... a bit hard. But, that’s what you get when you go pressureless!
@@TheTennisMentor thanks for the reply. I have a slingerbag - and didn’t get the Wilson triniti add on package, but I did but a couple Gamma tubs of pressureless balls. Probably not quite as nice as the triniti balls but seem fine so far.
Question. How long did the slinger bag actually take to arrive to your house? Bc it says 60 days on the website. Did it actually take 60 days or did it take less?
I was an original backer on Kickstarter so it wasn’t in production when I ordered it... it took 2 years 😅 Send them a message on Instagram, they’re pretty good at responding. Thanks for watching!
@@TheTennisMentor I have a question for you since you're also a rep., I use 144 balls and twice or three times the balls stop coming. I heard somebody say that it's because the Velcro inside of the Slingerbag isn't tight enough...but there's no way of tightening it. I was thinking of maybe putting some padding inside but then 144 balls won't fit in. The feed stopping 2 or 3 times for 144 is management but still a headache and a pain, since you have to walk to the machine and move the balls around to re-start the feed. How do you deal with that issue? Why was this problem not deal with before releasing the product?
Did you provide SBag settings for this video? Angle, speed and feed? Speed is one o'clock, feed is 11 o'clock and angle is 15. Barely legible graphics! But otherwise excellent video.
and not one person in your comments complained about the speed of which the ball is coming to you. i quite honestly never think about how fast a ball is coming at me in a game, ever, yet there are other channels that reviewed this machine and some people complained they wish they could make the ball arrive faster. also you didn't mention anything about being able to underspin the ball. to me this just seems to be a really good way to get cardio and drills down and if you really want other varieties of spins, bring a partner along and they can provide those different spins on the ball. just my 2 cents.
