I find if you have good topspin then it's easier to hit deep as the ball spins in, so you can hit lots of deep rising balls, where as flat hitters tend to miss net or long. However your prize for hitting deep is a short ball. This you have to hit flat, but the sort of person who loves deep rising ground strokes is normally weak at hitting a short ball flat and coming to the net. Hence you really need to be able to do both to win.
@@TheTennisMentorto mabye help with hitting the ball with top spin and power and also to stop the ball going really high up in the air love the vids btw
Thanks for this. I am 100 lbs and barely 5ft2in so good to know I don't have to try to win points with power. I can definitely hit deep and high. So now I can work on my spin as well.
Hey coach, I have another suggestion. Please make video about tennis GYM workouts and exercises. And it’s beneficial to the player.. Like deadlifts and squats.. Thank you, and good luck 🙏🏻 From 🇸🇦
I have my students imagine the net is at their opponents service line (I also use targets what looks like an American football goal post with a top) 2 feet over the net but rising up to 4-6 feet over the service line on the opposite side of the net driving the ball with heavy topside. Then start looking for the short ball.
Two fold on the mini net. It keeps the raising crossing the baseline and keeps the out of the center of the court. I have them play out with the mini net on the service line and yes they complain but learn a valuable lesson
I’ve started becoming really dedicated to tennis and I went from 26 to 17 on my school team! Thanks to you and others! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, I like it! A mini net on the service line also works for this too!
