All of Kendrick's albums? Let's go!
yes please god
He should react to Kids See Ghosts Too
@@richarddawkinscoinedthewor2318 I think he already listened to it
@@lewismcshane9346 I don't think so, at least not the whole thing
@@richarddawkinscoinedthewor2318 I asked him on twitter a while back and he said it was a good album
Poe man's dreams will always be a special song for me
Ezra Przytyk for reallll, takes me back to my freshman year
that shit is so nostalgic
Every Kendrick album is nostalgic for me
Facts
The instrumentals just take me back
Poe Mans Dreams is one of the most underrated songs Kendrick has written
Edit: Kush & Corinthians also up there as well 🔥
Yeah those are two of my favorites
You ever heard of Wanna Be Heard. I feel like that's his best hidden gem. Opposites Attract too
i think these two are the best songs on the album
Please don't miss out on Untitled Unmastered, so under appreciated.
Untitled 4 is my fav
I agree it’s looked over a lot. I have a signed vinyl for it!!! But I don’t think it’s relevant for a discography reaction considering it’s songs that didn’t make it on TPAB.
And all the heart parts
Agreed!
Afro Shinobi they say the government mislead the youth...
It's Kendrick season baby!
Especially hyped for GKMC, listening to it in one sitting was such an awesome experience for me. Felt like a movie.
For real!
word man!
Now that youve heard keshas song you'll understand sing about me as it's basically the sequel
*sing about me
@@HassanAhmed-od2wl pups idk why I said sing for me lol
If you heard brenda's got a baby and kiesha song then sing about me would easier to understand.
Ezra Przytyk also art of peer pressure as that’s what the first verse in sing about me is replying to
It'll probably fly over his head after only one listen but Sing about me is so good, they already reacted to it though so he'll probably skip it.
Joey Bada$$ - 1999
Gonna keep showing up until its done boss
It's on the list for sure
Best mixtape ever released fight me
UndeadTurd sanchez b4dA$$ is better bud
@@harrykelly777 I dunno man, 1999 had that rhyme flow on 100. I like B4DA$$, but 1999 still wins over it for me....But maybe I should re-listen to both for the 15th time.
Aaron Tucker I just think b4da$$ is more of a complete project. I would agree that my two favourite songs from the two albums would both be on 1999 but b4da$$ shows joeys range with different vibes while keeping the same consistent energy he had on 1999. That’s my take anyway.
Honestly this is my favorite Kendrick album. I don’t think it’s the best conceptually or musically but it came out my freshman year of high school and changed the way I looked at music today
Honestly, this is the Kendrick Project I come back to the most, something about it is just timeless
This album ages like fine wine
Me too
@@JonDenton you're not wrong my friend. Great vid as always
@@JonDenton🍷✨
You need to listen to The Heart Part 1-4 they are brilliant
Absolutely
Part 2 especially 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@cantu7214 yes pls
@@cantu7214 f a funeral make sure you give my money respect!!!
YES! PART 3 NEEDS TO BE HEARD BY MORE PEOPLE! Part 3 is one of the most existential tracks Kendrick has made, thats my favorite type of Kendrick aswell...
Imagine being so good that this is your third best album
Edit: this is my opinion and I respect all yours. Regardless of our rankings, we all see Kendricks genius and would probably all get along. I think all his albums are the best in unique ways. And it depends on what your criteria is. Or maybe they shouldn't be ranked. Peace y'all.
*5th
Which is even more insane
@@samuel-ri9uf nah this is better than damn, untitled unmastered and overly dedicated no doubt imo I love damn but it doesn't compare to this.. only GKMC and TPAB do
@@samuel-ri9uf but I respect your opinion..
Ezra Przytyk lyrically he’s always been great but I think the music got better over time. More creative production on tpab, damn, gkmc, and untitled in my opinion.
Ezra Przytyk IMO TPAB was way too mainstream to be compared to something like this he came out with this when he was 23 virtually nobody knew his and this was original and groundbreaking at the time the album only has one bad song on it I think it’s only competition is GKMC
Poe Man's Dreams is incredible. Still one of my favorite Kendrick songs of all time. And I didn't even realize J. Cole produced Hiiipower. Dude's so talented
I made it, great video!
When you react to GKMC, please note the final track is 'Compton'. Anything after that is a bonus track.
Also bear in mind Section.80 is structured to be like a book, GKMC is a short film, and TPAB is a poem/letter
@@matthewfujimoto4054 what about damn?
Ezra Przytyk A meme
Ezra Przytyk DAMN is supposed to be a Tv or radio station, hence the news channel snippets and the pop-ier sound
@@alexjarmes7226 yea actually your right
“You can only learn what you learn when you learn it” I felt that JD👏🏽
Yesss that 10/10 for Keisha was so well deserved and rigamortus grew on me eventually aha
Now that you’ve heard Keisha’s song keep it in mind for GKMC because she plays a big role in the “movie” that the album is. She’s like one of the characters
Whenever a certain sound plays in the album it means Keisha is there or they are talking about her
Whatttttttt my favorite kendrick album still, has a special place in my heart
Shout out to the people that listened to this before GKMC. This sounds so nostalgic
colt kaz I heard this album in August only two months before GKMC came out. Kendricks older material holds a special place in my heart!!!
the book of soul by ab soul is one of the best reflective songs ive heard, hopefully youll react to it at some point man. good vid btw
HM96ye agreed !
React to the whole album please!
Shpuld just react to Control System
this album is so incredible it almost sucks that he made 2 better albums because it gets so overshadowed
Kendricks live performance of untitled 8
YES
And untitled 3.
Most soulful rap performance I have ever seen
and i
Don't know if you caught it but in No Make-Up (Her Vice) he says "To be continued, 11",And the 11th track is Keisha's Song (Her Evils) which is the continued story of the girl in No Make-Up.
Keisha's song is so good i cried first time i heard it

I’m not sure if you noticed but Keisha in Keisha’s song is referenced in Sing About Me. You should go back to that song and react to the verse after hearing this
Poe Mans Dreams is my favorite song on the album but I feel like Keishas song is the best one. anyway this video was a W, and you should react to all four parts of the heart in order. 🐐 keep it up tho
you should include untitled unmastered by kendrick
I will always love this album, tpab is art, gkmc is a great story and damn is a great sound but honestly I love this album because I can just sit down close my eyes and listen to it. It hasn't and will never get old for me and I always discover something new in it no matter what.
My favorite Kendrick project 🙏🏼
Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst is like the sequel to Keisha’s song
Also U is an important continuation to the ending to Keisha's song.
Nah not “u”, it’s these walls. In you he’s actually talking about himself in the third person
@@TheOther2StrongGamer Oops you're right, I misremembered.
Wait whats the connection with these walls??
Chris Malinowski listen to the last verse on these walls. I don’t wanna spoil it
Literally can't believe it's finally happening hahaha
Right lol
@Simesihle Zulu oh right he has glasses
Section 80 is honestly my favourite. Raw and youthful wisdom.
The way TPAB is gonna go so over your head on first listen... I’ll pray for you 😂
I think going over your head is the wrong way to describe it. I think a more accurate way would be that you can always get more out of it with each listen. The messages aren’t the most complex but they are wholly profound.
weaselsdawg Also true but pretty much everything has a double meaning aswell as obscure but meaningful samples. There’s definitely enough complexity for certain things to go over your head.
He listened to it once when it first came out but that was the only time. He didnt like it but that was before he fully got into hip hop
Kendrick's musics meant to go over your head. He's said he writes music that's supposed to be sat with and really thought about. It increases the longevity of his music and is the biggest argument against mumble rappers eventually dying out. You hear a mumble rap song and get the direction of the song instantly so once the production starts getting old you're pretty much done with the song.
Took me 5 years from 15 to 20 years old to finally understand and comprehend it fully
Classic
I would seriously love for you to react to Nas's illmatic or god son album they are phenomenal
I'm so happy this is finally happening. People are saying don't forget about untitled unmastered and I'd agree with that but it's not a complete album (nor was it meant to be one) like the others. For that reason I think it would be more interesting to see your reaction to one of Kendrick's recorded live performances from that untitled unmastered "era", specifically the one he did on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, called "Untitled 8". A version of that track is on the untitled unmastered record but I think everyone pretty much agrees that the live performance was better.
U should try ab-soul’s album Control System
I second, third, forth, and fifth this.
Retweet
Agreed!!
YES, PLEASE DO
Lyrically the best TDE album he’s gonna need genius to get around the layers of bars of that album
Awesome reaction, Section.80 is my favorite Kendrick album. Excited for more Kendrick reactions but we need some Outkast reactions. I know Outkast doesn’t get the most views, but please for the culture and all of us eclectic music lovers.
Kendrick and Outkast, best discographies in hip hop hands down!
Outkast is one of the most popular and acclaimed hip hop artists of all time, Im sure he'd get the views. He should for sure for Aquemeni
@@HookedonChronics ironically he needs to do them all to see the growth and diversity. I been fucking with kast since they came out but I love the diverse sounds off the idlewild soundtrack as much as anything they did. They never made the same album or same sound. Goodie Mob could've done the same but they didnt all have the same vision. Ceelo was more like Dre and Big boi with his different sounds and abilities to creep into different territory
Fun Fact: Kendrick's little sister that he mentioned in Keisha's Song is a mother of two now.. And she's only 18 years old.. He considered himself a failure for this.. Which he will mentioned in TPAB's "U".. Can't wait to see your reaction on that..
I'm from Germany and I listened to this album all the time when I took a school trip to England. Good Memorys! Good Chanel!
You should definitely react to The Heart Part II by Kendrick Lamar.
No sure why this song doesn't get more love
Let’s see a Swimming by Mac Miller full album reaction
Dayton S I’ve been asking for the past 7 months lmao
@@ellmrk7 it must be done, such a "fluid" body of work
Dayton S definitely the best album of 2018 and the most cohesive, he should especially listen to it after the Kendrick albums considering Mac produced for Kendrick, was good friends with him, had the same tastes in music, came up at around the same time and worked well with him
@@ellmrk7 two legends for sure. You're probably familiar with the mixtape, but a reaction to Faces by Mac Miller would be just as intriguing.
Friday Night Lights - J. Cole
To Pimp A Butterfly is the most mesmerizing album. J Cole 2014 FHD is his best album (the warm up is coles best overall project) check up and coming rappers reason (TDE) and Cozz (Dreamville)
Friday Night Lights!
sun's tirade- Isaiah Rashad!!!
FlaminLmon99 fucking great album right there
Whole album 🔥
Cilvia Demo first though
Finally!!! Just please add Untitled Unmastered to the list too, there are a lot of gems from Kendrick in there too.
Hol' Up, A.D.H.D., The Spiteful Chant, Rigamortus, and HiiiPower are my favorites from Section 80.
Mac Miller Swimming and Faces. Both sonically interesting and very introspective (:
i had the exact same reaction to Kush & Corinthians the first time i listened to it- no, every time i listen to it. amazing song.
For me this my favourite mixtape after 1999 by Joey badass
Dis an album tho
^
Heck yeah, let's do this.
I love these full album reviews, it's like listening to the albums you fell in love with for the first time all over again

This album was released in 2011 btw
you should react to 2014 forest hills drive from J cole
He will no doubt
no
Overrated
@@darkestification what? it may be a bit.overrated but it's still a great album
JB I don’t know if I would call it overrated. I think it deserves everything it got because it’s an amazing album, every song has its own impact. 03 adolescences was one of coles greatest songs ever and people still be bumping a tale of 2 citiez
Very excited to see all these album reactions. I honestly prefer this channel to Rock Reacts.
Still one of my favorite Kendrick Lamar albums.

Ali Morales idk, TPAB is my favorite Kendrick album that’s why haha
@@alejandrochavez3895 Same!! But after seeing him react to "U" it hurt honestly. So that's y I think it wouldn't be great for him 😓
Ali Morales I know that one hurt me too 😔 but that’s why I want them to listen to it fully because I feel it’s a completely different album when you listened to it like that than each song individually. You can’t read a page out of a book expecting to understand it all
@@alejandrochavez3895 The problem is that album is one that needs a lot of dissecting and keep on listening to it for people to actually appreciate it. Their job is to listen to what the viewers want which they won't really go back to it
I’m surprised there aren’t more people calling for his mixtape Overly Dedicated. (OD)
Not even watched it yet and have clicked the like button, can’t wait to give this a watch after work 🙏🏼
Dope. You’re proving to be more of the hip hop head. This gives more credibility to your channel.
I'm watching this after watching GKMC and TPAB and its awesome to look back and see how much you've have grown with kendrick as he has grown with his albums
1. TPAB
2. GKMC
3. Section.80
4. DAMN
Exact same list as mine. Where would you place Untitled Unmastered in this?
@@WildFoxHD I'd put 3 better than section 80 but it's damn hard to pass GKMC.
Dawg this album holds a special place in my heart since middle school. I deadasss memorized allll the lyrics to rigamortus
Just wanted to tell you that when you go into Good Kid Maad City and TPAB Kendrick crafts a real narrative experience and I'd say that you might want to try and relate the tracks together, especially in good kidd maad city which really tells an almost cinematic story. Just try and think about how the story is being progressed through the songs and how the tracks are implied to effect the events of the next, they're like scenes in a movie. Thanks for doing this btw i'm heavily anticipating those next two albums!
JD Da Prophet back again with the quality content
*This still my favorite K Dot project. Maybe because this when I got introduce to him. Lyrically he was getting busy on this project.*
mick jenkins the waters check it out for a review! great mixtape awesome concept impressive lyricism!
I used to listen to this back in middle school, this the shit that pmo on K Dot. I’m only 23 now but shit man this tape brings back those skating memories back then. Started smoking in 8th grade too this shit was godly after a blunt
Mack-book also used to be a book with telephonenumbers of girls, in my time (before cellphones).
GKMC and TPAB are albums that i had to listen to more than 3 times to really get all the way. Both amazing albums
YES!! I've been waiting for these reactions since you first started Rock Reacts. Psyched it's finally here!
Someone needs to make a gif of JD reacting to the lines in Reagan Era.
Gifs, clips and memes are welcomed and encouraged
Kieshas sister is 1 of the people he is talking to in sing about me.... She is mad at him for telling Kieshas story but now she's doing the same thing and he just hopes someone tells his story when it's time
RIP Ashtro Bot aka Ash Riser (the guy who sang at the beginning of Ronald Reagan Era and the hook of Keisha’s Song)
To see someone react the *exact* same way I did to 'Kieshas Song' is crazy....
People really don't realize what a genius Kendrick Lamar is.
Frank Jaeger most people don’t have the IQ to understand his concepts but those who do look at life a different way after his projects
@@CarlosHernandez-dw3ph back when this dropped, that third verse caught me off gaurd. (knife inside the bladder left her dead raped on the street) 😥
Kendrick - “Overly dedicated” pls Jon no one ever says anything about this piece of work
YOU MADE MY FUCKING DAY AND MONTH!!!! Woo!! Kendrick seasons bros
This album is so underrated!!
Would highly recommend the Dissect podcast which has a full season on Kendrick Lamar, analyzing his lyrics track by track
Who else loves how Jon can spot the hits on the album right away? 😍💯🔥 “that’s a special song”
React to BIG L 1998 or 1995 freestyle both are amazing this guy is one of the legends and the definition of a new York rapper he would of been up there with b.i.g and pac but he was shot before he could sign his record deal and get big. Jay Z was gonna sign him but he was killed. Watch a lyric video for it you will need it 😂he is one of the best ever for punchlines. Trust me he will be one of the best people you have reacted to
