62 years old, this song still chokes me, love you Chester for understanding, hate you Chester for giving up, still miss you, crying now, love you Chester, RIP.
i feel u man and if you excuse me i'm going to the next corner, crawl into a ball and cry
What a shitty thing to say. Yikes.
@@daniig62 - you can love somebody... but hate their choices or decisions. I too hate that Chester gave up... he was a light that shined bright among millions of stars. his music got me through tough times... and played a part in many of my happiest times. I cry every time I watch this video. There are few celebrities that I can say bring a tear to my eye... Chester is one of them. He was special. And I wish somebody in his life took the time out of their day to remind him of that... daily.
@starbritefr I understand your pain because Chester impacted me deeply too ❤🩹, but why hate the dead when they are gone? especially someone who has loved us so well as Chester has? what leg does that give any of us to stand on in hating him? Even more so when that expressed could be hurtful to those who knew him more personally like his family or bandmates.
Thank you for telling it true!
this song is powerful, especially since Chester is gone. That line "one more chair than you need", that's how i've felt since losing my mom. Her chair still sits at the table. Losing someone and even memories pulls the floor right from under you. RIP Chester, thank you for your legacy of music. Great reaction Asia & BJ
Ya, I know ex ex exactly what your saying...unfortunately
You find yourself just looking at that spot
@@kurtthevillain6012 yeah you do, constantly.
@@stangss1 very sorry for your loss.
Yep, it hit right to the core, I lost 4 buddies that I worked with them in the army by suicide. Some say I'm stone hearted but this song always me cry more than a toddler 😆😥
I still can't hear this without crying. It is still so unbelievable that he is gone. RIP Chester
Same.
❤😢
Chaz isnt gone, he never will. He just became music.
I remember hearing this after Chester died and coming close to crying. Shortly after that my youngest Son passed away, 23 years old with almost no chance to leave his mark on this world but he left his mark on my heart.
🥀 sorry
so sorry for your loss.

Your comment made me cry. I'm an alcoholic and my Mom is always scared of losing me, so I felt the pain my Mom shows through this. I'm so sorry for your son
I'm not saying your son was an alcoholic, more so the pain of losing a child. I lost my Grandma last year and I know thats different but it definitely was the hardest thing to go through
They did this song on the Jimmy Kimmel show as a tribute to Chris Cornell who had recently passed away. It is so emotional
I can't watch the Kimmel version without tears, that scream before the final chorus. Rest in Peace Chester;
I wish they reacted to that version 😔
@@matty_mcmattface probably the best version but it cracks me every time - as u said
When he sang this live for Chris Cornell it was so dang sad. That agonizing scream was so sad. He really loved him.
I felt that scream down to my soul
Preach...it broke my heart.
To think he left us so soon after. .. lost his best friend to it, then going that way himself after a family vacation. So painful, but the song is so beautiful as well. Tragic, but beautiful
This Man suffered and know one new it until he was gone. God Bless you Chester.
Life is fleeting. R.I.P. Chester.
he was a beautiful soul who struggled with demons and pain alot of us feel he wanted people to know they mattered and we never alone
Chester, your life and death impacted me in so many ways. "who cares if one more light goes out?" You were such a bright light taken way too soon. Your music to this day still has such an impact and helps so many. R.I.P Chester
I’m 22 and every time I hear this song I get emotional for two main reasons. I think of my mom who passed just last year. And I think of my regret that I never got to see Chester live. We had tickets for their tour with blink 182 at Citi Field and a week before the show Chester left us 😓
I’m 15 I wish I would’ve been able to see linkin park live one day 😕 Rest In Peace Chester
I also will always have the pain of not being able to see him live.
This song was always about empathizing with grief. Then after Chester passed, the band paid tribute to him with this video, and it turned into them empathizing with the grief the fans were feeling.
"And you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair" is the line that means so much to me. So many of us feel guilty when we get angry about losing someone, but it's a normal part of grief, and it's so good for us to get "permission" to feel what we feel. It's ok.
2 days from today (July 20th) will be 5 years since Chester passed away, the only person to pass away and have a significant effect on me personally. I just hope somehow, he knows how much he is still missed by the millions of people he helped throughout the years. Linkin Park was the soundtrack to my high school years, I'll never forget how much he helped me get through some pretty tough years. RIP Chester Bennington, you will NEVER be forgotten.
2 days from today will mark 6 years, it's surreal to think that it's been 6 years since he passed
I have always felt like this song was saying more that for everyone else another person passing is just another statistic, but for someone that person who passed was EVERYTHING and their life is irreparably broken due to the loss. rip Chester.
Remember when I heard of his passing in 2017 this was one of the songs I listened to the most.
I feel like he’s in my head. I know he’s pulled a lot of us out of horrible actions. So sad that he lost his battle. Love your reaction Asia and BJ. RIP Chester ♥️🥹♥️xx
In the eyes of a loved one the lifetime of a single person can feel both long and rich and terribly short no matter the actual length of mortal time a person has been given.
Our lives are really short though. And seems to speed up as we age
There will never be another Chester Bennington he was an amazing person who wore his heart on his sleeve and cared so much for others it was a pity he didn't realise we cared about him also and how shattered we felt the day he passed away the brightest star went out that day
He brought the subject of depression and mental health to a generation where it was stigmatized by many people and I have no doubt that Linkin Park saved many lives with their songs
RIP Chester I hope you found the peace you where looking for in the end but know we miss you and your legacy lives on with your fans
BJ, sorry to hear about the lose of your cousin. Just know your cousin is watching over you, Asia and your family and the time comes all of us will be with our loved ones that have passed.
✌️🙏❤️
Thx. for all of your awesome reactions brother. 👍
This song hits harder since he passed away!
This song has always hit differently to me… almost like he had made his decision to end his life by the time they recorded it… like hes telling us goodbye…. It took me years to put my finger on why it always hit me differently
Chester wasn't involved in the writing. It was Mike and an external writer. And they wrote this for a long time co-worker/friend at the label. She passedfrom cancer
Infact when he went right next to thr fans he was infact saying goodbye
His voice and his words reached so many!!! He made me feel like I wasn't so alone, so hopeless! RIP Chester!!! ❤️
This song has gotten me through a lot of family and friends leaving too soon, I miss chester 💔
"Just cause you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there" that line hits me so hard, Depression is such a strange existence it all just doesn't feel real sometimes.
This song was originally written as a tribute to woman friend who had died. Since Chester's death it has taken on a new life of its own.
This song hits hard with me because I’ve been there, I still have these thoughts sometimes but thank god it’s not as much as before, it sucks to feel that way.
Chester the vocalist legend
This is an unbelievably powerful song that im guessing almost everyone could relate to. You should react to the live version right after Chester's best friend Chris Cornell took his own life it is so touching and puts things in perspective
You guys should check out their live version of this, absolutely amazing yet heart breaking
We could hear his pain, everytme I hear this song I cry. There is a difference between what he says and what we feel. I remember hearing on the radio when he passed and I couldn't help but weep.😢I felt like a voice of truth was taken from us to early.
Rest in peaceful sleep Chester, you will always live in our hearts forever ♥♥ love you guys
Man I could write a whole big thing about Chester and what he means. But like fuck man, he transcended himself and helped so many, I hope he never gets forgotten
RIP Chester.
the song is beautiful but it's the video that gets me emotional everytime
Watch him sing that live after Chris Cornells death. Its heavy
Please react to-Crawling One more light live. Its beautiful and you can see how close Chester is to his fans. Miss you Chester...
This one saved many lives I thought both of you should know…..world is sad we couldn’t save Chester…but his music is eternity…
Gone but never forgotten
This song is a perfect example of why Rock is so important. Rock is the music of our feelings. Yeah, there is a lot of aggression, because we as the people have aggression we need to be able to channel and process. That is true for all emotions and Rock can take us through every single one.
OMG! I'm so stoked you guys are doing a reaction video for this song. Chester is my all time favorite singer and I miss him dearly.
Thank you Asia & BJ
❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
This is a tough one! But glad you guys did it! Love yall!
I miss you Chester
Chesters Moment went by to fast click the like button to show we care.
I got to see Linkin Park live twice. I feel lucky to have done so. R.I.P. Chester. He's sorely missed, and the guy was a tortured soul however he fgn put on a great show.
This song was written in memory of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, a close friend of Chester Bennington and later in memory of Chester himself. I think the real gift of this song is that it was written in such a way that it could be in memory of anyone. The line: ...who cares if one more light goes out, well I do... just hits me. To someone that light was someone's star in the night sky. Absolutely brilliant lyrcs and so beautifully sung, you can feel his pain.
Still miss Chester alot. Huge Linkin Park fan so the news was hard to take. Every time I hear this song it makes me cry
I’ve sent this to my bestest friend. And told her: ‘If I ever sent this song ever again, you have to worry and alarm every one close to me, ‘cause it means that I’m in it!’
Thankfully we never reached that point so far. And more years forth.
But such a safespot for me, to react out to SOMEONE if I ever need that kinda help.
Lost a friend 2 years ago he had this song playing on repeat when he was found, this one always make me choke up
The only “star” I cried about when they passed. RIP Chester ♥️🙏🏼
Chester was a great one,and this is a great song.Wish you were still here with us Chester!
Listen to the live version Chester sang as a tribute to Chris Cornell after Chris committed suicide.
On the music video the "I do..." on the bridge is subdued and quiet. You might have even missed it.
During the live performance, Chester screams out "I Doooooooo!" while trying not to break down crying. It's one of the most heart wrenching and yet beautiful musical moments I've ever heard in my life. As though Chester felt if he screamed loud enough, Chris would hear him from beyond and still know that he loves him and misses him. It's beautiful.
And the reminder that Chester took his own life in the same way on the anniversary of Chris death makes it all the more potent.
As much as we miss their gifts. Their family and friends surely miss them more.

This is the first time I've heard this since my mom passed away a month ago. It's such a deep deep pain. And I care!😪😪
I love Chester and miss him so much, he was such a special person.
Chris Cornell had passed, best friends and both struggled . I'm 64 and I cry every time.
You're so spot on Asia. He always wore his heart on his sleeve. This song is about all that can relate but most of all it feels like a cry for help. That's why this song and his death are both beautiful yet devastating.
He's the only artist I have not been able to get over.
Chester wasn't involved in writing this. He rarely wrote any material. Lke most material Mike Shinoda is the main writer. They wrote this about a friend at their label, she had cancer and passed away
@@DaP84 I never said Chester wrote this song. I know the shisty Mike S. wrote a lot/most of the songs.
Fukin' trolling comments dude! Get a Life.
R.i.p chester. I wish you were still here. Much love to you guys for reacting to this song ❤
I remember when this song came out, I was riding home from work listening to Linkin Park radio on Spotify. I had to pull over onto the side of the highway and sit. It hit me harder than any other song has ever done. In 2015 I lost my dad and wife 6 months apart. This song is so powerful.
RIH Chester Bennington. I lost my Dad Christmas morning 2015. This one brings those tears back. This song and this band, holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for the reaction.
Been waiting for this one. RIP Chester! Check out crawling with Chris Cornell and Chester
It gutted me when Chester was lost.
Just finding your channel today and I have already watched a few of your videos and loving it! Chester is gone now, but, these reaction videos keep his music, memory and love for his family, friends and fans alive. Thank you.
I can tell you from experience when you are full of pain and anger you want to be the only one. You don't want others to feel what you are feeling. If I could take all the pain and hatred in this world and put it all inside me so that others could love peaceful and happy I would do it in a second.
Some time it’s really hard to talk to people and understand if you haven’t been in that situation of not belonging 🥲
This song is about him. It’s a cry for help. That’s what makes even sadder than it is…it’s about loss but also Chester himself. 😢 rip Chester ❤
(only pertaining to their Transformers II score tune)
Chester wrote one poetic line that continues to resonate *:*
"a startling sign that fate had finally found me"
cheers. (gonna go watch your EVH solo and 'Don't Cry' again)
Ironically, his loss showed just how many people can care when a light goes out.
I remember playing this song for a girl I was going out with about a year ago. I thought she would really like it. But she couldn’t take lyrics like “In the kitchen, one more chair than you need.” Because she had lost a brother to cancer.
Rip to the best artist to live and walk this earth with his us chester you be forever miss
Sorry for your loss man, this song always breaks me
This song is great, it’s very heart wrenching, very sad but I definitely need to listen to more Linkin Park
You definitely should. Lots of people have described Chester’s voice as “scream like the devil but sings like an Angel.” R.I.P Chester Bennington.
I've lost my younger brother and others. It reminds me of events that happened to me for years at age 3, I shielded him from the horror. We have a choice to help those that want it and either shut down, distract by addiction or use the pain to live life in their honour. There is no right way. Hugs to anyone with loss.
If you look closely, the band logo is now missing a fragment to where the circle is no longer complete and never will be again.
Typical of someone fighting depression, you want everyone else happy. He was a beautiful soul just like Robin Williams 😇 Also, if memory serves, there are clips from his last concert in this.
This was Chester saying goodbye how did nobody else see this!, I've been in tears since this song was released
Loved this band and their emotion.
Please can you two fabulous human beings react to more Jinjer.
My favourite is On The Top, also it is very easy to listen to and has a melodic chorus but hip hop beats galore.
It's the one the underdogs love ❤️
I still can't listen to this song without crying.
RIP Chester and Chris Cornell...enjoyed the reaction
Whoa.., Such a different sound from their beginnings....You both are always so quick with the meaning of a 🎵song...Our moments.."Life I'madates Art..Song defi, namely hits different
my biggest regret not goin do the ziggodome amsterdam , the scene he hugs and sing with a girl @2.30 hits me hard when i saw it after his passing bc i could feel through the screen that he was already saying goodbye, rest in peace
We miss you, Chester. ❤️
I'm crying. I love Chester Bennington. Such a beautiful person.
One man who saved milions but, milions couldn´t save him
i couldn't listen to this song for the longest after he passed. instant heartache
R.I.P Chester, his music helped me through my mental health and now it makes me sad that he couldn't get through his own battles.
We lose such beautiful souls, we lose those who are so sensitive and empathetic that have such love for others in this world. RIP SWEET CHESTER ❤
R. I.P Chester ! Our hearts will forever mourn your passing. We miss you !
i miss this man
This song hits home 💔 RIP Chester
I love this song so much it will always have a special place in my heart as was played at my nans funeral 💔 i miss you so much nan love you forever and always
this song still breaks me to this day, chester we still miss you
RIP Chester a demon with the voice of a angel. 😢
*Yay...and can y'all do TWO more? They are: One Step Closer__Given Up (Live in Clarkston)* ♥♥♥
The mountains mist on a bright Olympus
We look for him but he has gone one day we will meet Chester
I just teared up
Fly High and Rest Easy Chester we miss and love you brother 🙏🏼❤️🎙
Love this song and yet hate it.
I have lost way to brothers and sisters in arms to their own hands due to their demons.
Also this was the very last song Chester sang
Wasn't the last song he recorded or sang
@@DaP84 it was the last song he sang in concert. He and Linkin Park have a large catalogue of songs that had already been recorded and I’m not 100% but I think a couple of songs have been released since his passing
@@nicolek1676 ah, sorry! You are right. I don't think there are much unreleased LP material. Most stuff was put out in their LPU, underground albums. But yeah some stuff has been re-released as official tracks. Love the "Amends" album Chester's former band, Grey Daze released post his death. Old songs, but all reimagined song arrangements, and remastered original vocals by Chester. He was meant to re-record vocals but passed.
@@DaP84 no need to apologise. I have been surrounded by music all my life and to be honest I think it all started in the womb. I grew up listening to absolutely everything from Australian and American country, folk music then when I was 7 I saved up and bought my very first vinyl album “Police”. I listen to everything to this day from country to screamo heavy metal. If the song has a actual story (which is a sign of brilliant artists/song writers) I will listen to it and add it to my playlist
Still breaks my heart to listen to this song 😭
Rest In Peace to Chester. We lost a bright light when we lost him
Look into what Chris and Chester where working on right before there deaths and also take note on how they where found and how many people have been found in their same "suicidal" scene. The veil is lifting and the more you you uncover to be true the more you see that true evil has been in charge for far to long.
