I was at work. My buddy called me to tell me. I thought that it would be a terrible joke to make. I checked and I felt the life pulled out of me. I broke down. Seeing LP live was on my bucket list. It's really hard giving up a dream.

Linkin Park did an incredible job combining rap and rock and their lyrics always had such amazing depth. This was one of their first songs I ever heard and made me become and huge Linkin Park fan a long time ago.
Some of the lyrics are about a relationship but the overall point of the song is it illustrates how short life is & how much can change in a relatively short amount of time

Only problem is that, they wrote all the songs together for Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
The sad part is if you look alot of the song titles and listen to the word Chester told the whole world how bad he was hurting and what he was gonna do about.

Lol, I'm 34 and been listening to Linkin Park since 2002, back then I knew people who would never listen to any type of rock, but probably heard it on vh1 or the radio, but ever since 2009 and on, linkin park hasn't been on tv or mainstream radio...meaning unless anyone from the ages of 1-24 or so has a parent, older sibling or searched it themselves, there are 100s of million of people who haven't heard it.

This is my favorite by Linkin Park. Love this song. Once you learn about his past the lyrics become even more powerful.

We lost a great one when Chester went. One of my favorite bands of all time.
Chester was the front man. Numb was the song that got remixed with JayZ it was a Lincoln Park song. One More Light is a must do. Crawling and Numb are fire too.

Chester Bennington was awesome, my favorite is “One more Light”, and “Numb.” Both these songs in hindsight could have been a cry for help to me, sometimes they can be smiling in your face and thirty minutes late, gone! It’s so sad! RIP Chester!🙏

Linkin Park IS the PERFECT combination of a Rock/Rap Group that I had been WISHING for for YEARS and I consider this an absolutely perfect song in this genre! 👍🏾

Linkin Park is one of my all time favorites. Hybrid Theory is such an incredible album. Nothing on the radio really sounded like Linkin Park. I remember illegally downloading every Linkin Park song I could find on Napster after seeing their music video for One Step Closer on MTV when I was like 10 or 11.

My first CD. Was in 6th grade, got hybrid theory from a friend. Was my only CD and played it nonstop on my boombox and my little CD walkman. Takes me back. They were the ones who got me through a lot at that weird age of becoming a teen

Soooo many memories. I can't even count how often I watched that video on MTV. Damn... Will always be one of my favorite songs just for introducing me to Linkin Park! Damn!
Remember an interview on MTV (I'm old enough to remember a time they played music and such) where they explained how they got together. They were already a group but were missing a real singer. So they asked people to send tapes or go sing live for them and they gave them a song ... I 'think' it was even "In the end". And Chester just BELTED those lyrics. They weren't originally supposed to be sung like that!
They knew he was the one and so Linkin Park formed with Chester Bennington as lead vocals (Although I think at the time the name was still Hybrid Theory? Correct me if I'm wrong) Now that I think about - is he really the lead if Mike has at least as much text to perform? Hm... Whatever. Wish they would still exist.
I love that Linkin Park is still being discovered by reactors today. What sucks is that they will never have the opportunity to experience Chester in a live concert. I was fortunate enough to see them live and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. RIP Chester Bennington

Chester did the song "One more light" live on the Jimmy Kimmel show as a tribute to his best friend Chris Cornell *who took his life not long before the show". Its probably the most powerful and sad thing i have heard. When he screamed "I do" everyone could feel his sorrow. He couldn't even finish some of the words by the end of the song. Chester took his life on Chris Cornell's birthday.

Linkin Park was one of those groups with hard rock, rap and had their own DJ in the early 90's. In 2004 Jay Z wanted to work with them together. They toured together in 2005. You would like to hear "It's Goin Down" with Linkin Park and The Ex-cutioners it's all hard rock rap.
