New projects homemade lathes bed (second lathe)
Hello RUclipsr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.

So how much do you think it cost you to build this? Including the tooling like drill bits and grinder wheels? I would like to compare that cost vs buying a lathe of equal size

I think, your carriage needs oil holes and oil grooves.. ( maybe an oil wick as well)...Otherwise, your ways will wear out too quickly... Nice results so far my friend. i appreciate the immense effort, you put into this build... Greets from Germany.

Well done Rany....Great Build.....Nice finishes as well. How is the accurracy of the lathe measuring diameter from one end of the test piece to the other end (Tapering).

Мне кажется шпиндельный узел слишком слабоват для этого станка. Нужны более хорошие подшипники, и возможно корпус сами стальные листы немного толще.
