I know Jordan can be annoying sometimes, but personally, I find it hard not to feel bad for him in this situation. They very much counterbalance and rely on one another. Jordan is has more experience with his ability but he crumbles when situations get too big and he doesn’t have as much humility. We saw that especially last season. Jon is way more level-headed in situations (heck he’s more often than not the one who consoles Jordan in his episodes in earlier seasons), has gained that humility ten times over and was always the more physically gifted twin, but none of the same battle experience as Jordan.
@@NonaPrince it’s still not an excuse bro come on . He has being doing this from season 2. He needs to take accountability for every decision made. I feel like as a DC fan. We are getting amazing content lately, which makes me even more excited for the #DCU Because that will be a connected large universe.
I really disagree with your take on Jordan's behavior. It's been established that he has social anxiety as well as other issues and his reactions to me are very consistent with that. He's not just being a stupid brat. I'm happy they brought Superman back to life already because I thought for a second we would have to wait till the last episode of the series for it.
I agree with the Jordan take. Clark said it in the pilot episode that he was afraid this would happen. Something like “it’s gonna be hard for Jordan, because with Jonathan, everything is easy for him.”
@comicfan1023 while his anxiety and other issues are an explanation to how he's been acting, it doesn't justify it. jon has been there for him regardless of how he was feeling or what he had going on. the least he can do is be happy for him, as hard as it is- he can suck it up a little as he expected others to do the same when he got his powers, just as jon did when they lost thier grandma and jon had to give up his life in metropolis for jordan. granted jordan is dealing with grief so we can't judge his behaviour too harshly at this time, he has has a pattern of being an ass whenever he doesn't get his way. he does have a lot of growing up to do. but we can also see where his coming from given eveeything he has on his plate at the moment. plus he was happy when he thought jon had powers in s2. so yes his mental health can explain his behaviour eg acting rash and emotional, it doesn't justify it. especially when he's acted the same at times when he's even admitted his issues weren't affecting him. plus he knows getting powers isn't something u can control. sure he's feeling left out possibly jealous but he doesn't have to take it out on others and make them feel bad for him, and he's been called out for that previously but hasn't changed. however he is still a teenager and I do think he will grow with time and get better but I th8nk most ppls issue is that he hasn't really grown much during the entire show and it gets tiring and ppl are over it
I’d also like to point out that similar to my adventures with Superman not all of Clark’s powers kicked in they gradually came in and some of the times they did develop and come out when he was under a great deal of either emotional distress or anger
@shaythomas9688 I never said it justified his behavior just explained it and that classifying his behavior as just the actions of a stupid brat is kinda harsh. I guess it comes down to which brother you identify with more. As someone who has dealt with similar issues I've always identified with Jordan which is why he's been one of my favorite characters. His depiction of someone dealing with those issues has been spot on so I guess my take on his behavior is more inline with how Clark and Lois see it which is to have sympathy for him and not be angry at him. I also think we have seen character growth with him it's just been slow going and with setbacks which is also true to real life.
Its hilarious that I was thinking about Lucy the entire time I was Sam's goodbye message. That was dirty but understandable, I end to push people off and the few I have in my life are the ones that have forced themselves on me, ignoring and /or weathering all my subconscious efforts to push them away as well. I guess I relate to Sam here. lol
Thought it was interesting that when General Hardcastle introduced "the new black guy who was Luthor's plant", she said his name was John L Jones? Or was it Jonn Jonz? Made me wonder if he'd ever been to Mars...
hey guys great you are covering these, i think we need give Jordon some more slack. It isn't touched on a lot but you do have to remember that Jordon has neurological problems, he doesn't do regular people reactions well and likely fixates on things way too much. These are symptoms of being on the spectrum.
I have to disagree with your guys’s take on Jordan this episode. Their entire lives Jordan has seen Jonathan as the perfect child and himself as the screw up. Him failing to save his father and then Jonathan immediately getting ALL of his powers right away after confirms Jordan’s worst fears of him being the lesser brother. I think as a viewer it’s easy to forget that Jordan is still a teenager and isn’t going to think logically when he’s in an emotional state, especially since he’s more prone to anxiety and panic attacks than an already average emotionally unstable teenager. What I’m trying to say is, yes logically Jordan should realize that Lex is trying to manipulate him especially since he’s the one that killed his dad but he’s way too emotional to be able to think logically. For example, logically it makes sense for Lois to choose Jonathan over Jordan because he has powers but at the end of the day, she DID choose to save Jonathan’s life essentially meaning she left Jordan to die. When you put it into that perspective, you can’t blame Jordan for feeling like the lesser child because at the end of the day Lois DID choose Jonathan over Jordan. You have to remember Lex had the capabilities to kill Superman with relative ease, what makes you think Jordan would be any different? Realistically both of them would have been in the same amount of danger and she still chose Jon, so I would say Jordan’s feelings are pretty valid even if he isn’t thinking very logically right now.
Everything always came easy for Jonathan his entire life. I remember them saying that in season 1. Where with Jordan it was always a struggle. I'm not surprised Jonathan picked up everything so quickly, plus he had powers while he used X-K in season 2. Jordan has always felt inferior to Jonathan so I can understand his reaction to Jon getting powers because now in his mind he's not special anymore. Man I love this show so much and I will miss it terribly 😢.
The traitor at the DoD is named suspiciously like Martian Manhunter. I wonder if they were planning on introducing the Martian by having him supplant the guy, like in the other show.
I wonder if the juice will run out and leave Clark powerless? Not sure how Kryptonian biology works here, considering even his mom doesn't think it will work.
i love the ways in which this show displays the concept of family. like Hector said with Sam and Natalie, it's such a beautiful relationship. Clark and Tal-Rho. Also Clark's bio parent's holograms are treated with the same compassion. They had a burial for his dad and they also refer to his mom as grandmother. Plus the inclusion of Lana and Kyle's family of course going through divorce and working through their issues to maintain a healthy life for their daughters. plus the emphasis on friendship of course which ties them all together. Even post Sarah and Jordan breakup and all his annoying moments she's besties with Natalie and Johnathan too and continues to protect their secret and be there for them. anyway love this show lol
Am I the only one that thought they were setting up Martian Manhunter? In the DoD, when they introduce the guy who ends up shooting General Lane, they make a point to introduce him as Jonell Jones. Then he just ended up being the guy that Lex flipped.
I like jonathan coming in saying where he went and threw what was in his hand on the table,as souvenirs, reminds me of Wally west on young justice getting souvenirs after he battled the bad guys.😮😊😮😊 Great episode, glad jonathan got his powers....
5:42 this is my biggest disappointment of the season so far, that they are focusing so much on Jordan, the most annoying character. He hasn’t had any real character growth. I would think by now he’d be better. Other than the Jordan stuff, it was a good episode. My crazy theory is I think Sam will be brought back. Still think Luthor has the real heart. Superman will get his back and give Sam his back.
I don’t know why some people were so mad at Jordan this episode it makes total sense why he isn’t happy Jonathan has powers it makes him feel less special it also makes it seem everything always came easier to him. I also don’t like the fact Jonathan doesn’t have powers he could be a hero in his own way
The main reason I've had it with him is that he should be smarter than to fall for all the things he's been falling for -- the obvious trap of Luthor's in the last episode, and Luthor's blatant manipulation ("Your mother loves your brother more than you"). It's just gotten tedious.
a lot of the issues ppl have with jordan isn't based on this episode alone. he's had a pattern of acting a certain way whenever things don't go the way he wants, and it's tiring- he needs to grow up. yes He does have issues but while they are an explanation, they aren't an excuse. he should know that getting powers aren't in anyone's control and that there was always a chance of jon getting them too. he's been passive agressive about it which isn't the best but he is going through a lot at so we can't judge him too much on right now. but he expected everyone to be happy for him about when he first got his powers, he can at least do the same. plus he never even tried to understand lois point of view which if he did he would logically realise that chosing the powerless person was the logical choice because all lois knew was that both boys could die and jordan having powers gives him a better chance of defending himself which he did. plus in the past few seasons all he's been doing g is trying to convince everyone he's ready to do things on his own and can take care of himself. plus he can't blame others too much when he was warned by multiple people mit to go after the heart and Luther but he did it anyways
Hot dang this season is putting Lois through the emotional grinder. Love Jonathan getting his powers in this episode. Sam Lane was really starting to endear himself to me, so of course he has to die. And poor Lucy getting the Sophie treatment...
Seeing your theories in this one was funny cause you were either spot on or completelly wrong ahahaha and man, jordan needs to get it together. lex is a menace, this boy already has too much going on without him making it worse! boy's been stressing me out lately, can't wait til he gets over his issues ^^' about jon: to be honest I was dissappointed? ^^' in the beginning of the series I wanted this but I thought they had committed to him not having powers which was a nice parallel to Lois, and I thought it was cool he had to find his path without them. Firefighter seemed fitting. But okay then, we're doing this. Gotta see them all teaming up now, that's cool!!! also: I've always loved jonathan in this show, and not like michael bishop wasn't good last season but his breakdown really got me. powerful scene! and not like I care about lucy but yeaaaah I immediately thought about her during that recording too and like? what happened there. that was weird, wtf and of course, sam. I think the heart thing is reaaaally a stretch, but okay then. It's really touching that we go from sam completelly rejecting clark (or rather superman) to THIS. Like, damn. and it was genius to show the beginning and the end of their relationship. gotta love flashbacks. Sam really was a great part of the show. the funeral switch up! and the shirts! oh man...Plus I wonder if this will afect Clark's lifespan... also I thought it was weird they only did the glasses thing since in all other reveals he removes the glasses but also uses his powers as proof (the lens flare and dramatic music WAS hilarious though)...but now I wonder...maybe this is kinda foreshadowing to the boys starting to use glasses by the end of the season ok that was a long ranting oops
I think the thing that's felt off is the budget/actor availability due to it. We used to check in with almost every character each ep. This season, we get a more limited cast and can feel it.
I know the show doesn't acknowledge it as much anymore but Jordan has had behavioral issues with a diagnosis and while it doesn't totally excuse the moments he's been a jerk, he's a teenager with behavior issues that has superpowers. That's partly why Lois says that they probably should have let the boys learn about their heritage at a much younger age. Jordan had it rough as it is as a normal moody teenager with the brother that's seen as the star pupil, getting powers was not easy for him to transition..
This show.. just I'm so impressed. Smallville was good, had a lot of good moments, but it had a lot of cheesy emotion that fell short in alot of situations. But this show, Superman and Lois, The creators learned and applied a lot of what was learned throughout each season to make each episode and season hit harder than the last. By far the best tv show adaptation of superman I've seen.
First time watching you guys. Just subscribed. You guys are hilarious! There is no one I know that watches this show so I'm glad to watch with you all😊❤️
I wonder if Superman will be weaker now, giving that he now has a human heart...hmm. Or maybe that formula had yellow kryptonite, making Clark stronger?
If you think about it, if Jordan were to turn wouldn’t that make Jordan sorta like Connor because of Connor’s connection with lex and then having Jon be Jonathan Kent from the comics
11:05 - Probably too much to expect "Jones" to actually be "J'onzz"😏. Just glad they didn't have a close up of Clark's eyes with him suddenly opening them.
I was a tad confused when after Johnathan awakened his powers, the ship started acting weird? For a moment I thought the ship had something to do with his powers awakening, instead of merely reacting to it.
Who else is going to miss this when it ends, I know I will. I wish it would be a show some other network or streaming service would pick up. Yet I doubt that will happen 😔 Also the way gave Sam Lane the Loki Thanos treatment, tough man.
At the end, you can hear hearthbeat, but it beat just 2 times and not 3 times like before. Does that mean he is returning but lost his power and is now human ? Could be ^^
As a black man myself, as soon as I saw Jones, I knew he was a plant by Lex. With the already reduced budget, this show can't afford to add another random black guy 😅
The reaction to Jon getting his powers was one of the best moments of the series- we’ve been waiting so long 😅 Also can’t wait for you guys to start watching my adventures with Superman
Tyler hechlon is my favorite Superman. I am pretty salty that this show is getting cancelled because James Gunn wants only one Superman when he should invest in these characters instead
@petrgalko4152 Heart is not what makes superman invulnerable. It's the cells which absorb solar radiation that gives him all his powers including invulnerability.
@@HeroesReforged I was watching the episode at 4am due to insomnia and was thankful noone else was home I laughed so loud. Limburger cheese was his kryptonite.
It makes sense why Jordan is upset about jonathan getting powers saw how the XK changed his brother and how bizarre Jonathan was. He's had 2 bad experiences with Jonathan on powers. You can't blame him both x, k, jonathan and bizarre, jonathan beat him up out of anger and jealousy
I can't believe how they were dumping on Jordan. These three must have been the smartest and wisest 16yos ever. I feel terrible for Jordan. He feels like he failed his father. They make him feel like he's less than Jonathan.
He's also blind and gullible at times. The fact that he actually believes Lex Luthor and can't see that the MAN WHO KILLED his father is manipulating him, makes him arrogant and shows he's got little-no-control of his own feelings which can make him dangerous, a bit of a loose cannon here. It could be a setup to pit the two brothers against each other before Superman is back to being fully powered.
@@HeroesReforged I mean Jordan is a 16 or 17 year old kid prone to manipulation especially from lex luthor yeah he can be wise and mature but still a kid and a teenager with social anxiety it isn’t easy for him.
no one makes him feel that way, no one in his family has ever said anything to make him feel that way. he takes what they say and creates his own meaning behind it. Lois never said he was weak, he just put that in there himself and stormed off, didnt gever her a chance to excplain, he kept cutting her off. yes He has issues bytthey aren't a justification for his behaviour. I feel bad for him too but the main problem that ppl have is that he lacks accountability and always shifts the blame to others. while grated he has a lot on his plate, the least he can do is be happy for jon because he expected him to do the same when he first got his powers. also he didn't listen and was warned against going for the heart by lois and jon but refused to listen and suffered the consequences, that's no one else's fault but his
why? becuase he wasn't picked first in something. he's had preferential treatment over his brother the entire show. it's the first time he hasn't been picked. and if the thinks logically and took time to understand what loisnwas thinking he would realise that chosing the powerless brother was the rational choice given she thought both could die but jordan can defend himself which he did. plus the entire show he's been going on about how he's ready and can take care of himself. yes him and lois really do need to have a convo so both can explain their sides and how they're feeling, but him leaving will be seen as somewhat silly because he doesn't take accountability and constantly shifts the blame to others. granted this call situation is somewhat different, he didn't take the time to even try and understand. it's been shown that he always throws things back in ppls face when he's upset, which is wrong. eg when he calls lois a liar, when he goes off on Clark, when he called Sarah selfish for asking him to stop talking about the crash, and jon for being a drug addiction just because jon didn't want to tell him it was candice. and him straight up believing the man who killed his dad over his own mom makes no sense, he didn't even try to hear her out just believed a man he doesn't even know and even attacked him the day before

The fact that you have powers doesn’t mean you need to do things rationally especially when you know there are things that can hurt you. Saying I’m sorry always doesn’t always works. The kid has to be ego checked.
@@allianakelley4042 I don’t hate Jordan the kid needs to be checked. He needs to grow up. You can’t expect people to help you if you don’t want to help yourself to grow. There have been multiple opportunities. His parents have never asked more of him than what he can take. There’s always reassurance and love especially from your father. A kid always saying “ he doesn’t care” when a situation he’s fucked more than he knows. He doesn’t care? Come on accountability, humility ,love for heroism =0
Pride, fame, ego, empathy= 100%
It’s a CW TV budget. The effects are fine
I guess I relate to Sam here. lol
Man of steel with a human heart LITERALLY
I hope someone should do a Superman 1978 music edited over Clark’s reveal to Lois’s father in this
Jonathan sniffing and eating food like he's high lol
I wonder if the juice will run out and leave Clark powerless? Not sure how Kryptonian biology works here, considering even his mom doesn't think it will work.
You might be right. He just coaches his two sons in costume the last episode.
I was also thinking this
This was great episode,I'm glad jonathan got his powers....😂😅😂
FINALLY!!!🎉🎉🎉
i love the ways in which this show displays the concept of family. like Hector said with Sam and Natalie, it's such a beautiful relationship.
This season is insane
Am I the only one that thought they were setting up Martian Manhunter? In the DoD, when they introduce the guy who ends up shooting General Lane, they make a point to introduce him as Jonell Jones. Then he just ended up being the guy that Lex flipped.
I like jonathan coming in saying where he went and threw what was in his hand on the table,as souvenirs, reminds me of Wally west on young justice getting souvenirs after he battled the bad guys.😮😊😮😊
Great episode, glad jonathan got his powers....
Fun review as always. Fun fact- Bitsie Tulloch’s (Lois) husband, David Giuntoli (Grimm, A Million Little Things) directed this episode!
Seeing your theories in this one was funny cause you were either spot on or completelly wrong ahahaha
and man, jordan needs to get it together. lex is a menace, this boy already has too much going on without him making it worse! boy's been stressing me out lately, can't wait til he gets over his issues ^^'
about jon: to be honest I was dissappointed? ^^' in the beginning of the series I wanted this but I thought they had committed to him not having powers which was a nice parallel to Lois, and I thought it was cool he had to find his path without them. Firefighter seemed fitting. But okay then, we're doing this. Gotta see them all teaming up now, that's cool!!! also: I've always loved jonathan in this show, and not like michael bishop wasn't good last season but his breakdown really got me. powerful scene!
and not like I care about lucy but yeaaaah I immediately thought about her during that recording too and like? what happened there. that was weird, wtf
and of course, sam. I think the heart thing is reaaaally a stretch, but okay then. It's really touching that we go from sam completelly rejecting clark (or rather superman) to THIS. Like, damn. and it was genius to show the beginning and the end of their relationship. gotta love flashbacks. Sam really was a great part of the show. the funeral switch up! and the shirts! oh man...Plus I wonder if this will afect Clark's lifespan...
also I thought it was weird they only did the glasses thing since in all other reveals he removes the glasses but also uses his powers as proof (the lens flare and dramatic music WAS hilarious though)...but now I wonder...maybe this is kinda foreshadowing to the boys starting to use glasses by the end of the season
ok that was a long ranting oops
This show is just pure amazingness it’s crazy
First time watching you guys. Just subscribed. You guys are hilarious! There is no one I know that watches this show so I'm glad to watch with you all😊❤️
Awesome! Thank you!
I almost didn't expect an episode today due to the D&W reaction, ngl
I wonder if Superman will be weaker now, giving that he now has a human heart...hmm. Or maybe that formula had yellow kryptonite, making Clark stronger?
I think weaker - so he needs to combine with his sons to overcome doomsday.
If you think about it, if Jordan were to turn wouldn’t that make Jordan sorta like Connor because of Connor’s connection with lex and then having Jon be Jonathan Kent from the comics
I love this quick reaction videos I just finished watching the episode. And now watch you guys react to it is just perfect.
“I love you 3000” had me dying laughing
At the end, you can hear hearthbeat, but it beat just 2 times and not 3 times like before. Does that mean he is returning but lost his power and is now human ? Could be ^^
As a black man myself, as soon as I saw Jones, I knew he was a plant by Lex. With the already reduced budget, this show can't afford to add another random black guy 😅
😅😅😅
DUUUUUUUUUDE THE WRITING
I like your guys’ theme song - sounds very 80s/90s-ish…Heroes Reforged…😊
Not going to lie i was not expecting this way to bring Kall back. RIP Lane.
The reaction to Jon getting his powers was one of the best moments of the series- we’ve been waiting so long 😅
Also can’t wait for you guys to start watching my adventures with Superman
Absolute shame the series is ending
You either die a great show or keep going to see yourself become the cringefest of CW
CW is dying...It's better to end this series rn
Jordan finally going to know what it's like to be his father.
Tyler hechlon is my favorite Superman. I am pretty salty that this show is getting cancelled because James Gunn wants only one Superman when he should invest in these characters instead
LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you i said that
Wonder if they will make the boys the red and blue supermen.
And here I was thinking that the heart doner was going to be Doomsday since he's Clark from different universe
That would never work.
@@thomasthorburn2751 And temporarly juiced up human heart that beats differently than the original heart does? :D
@@petrgalko4152 better than giving him a heart that's incompatible.
@petrgalko4152 Heart is not what makes superman invulnerable.
It's the cells which absorb solar radiation that gives him all his powers including invulnerability.
... Noones gonna mention the sly reference to Mighty Mouse with the limburger thing?
I haven't seen Mighty Mouse since the early 90s.
@@HeroesReforged I was watching the episode at 4am due to insomnia and was thankful noone else was home I laughed so loud. Limburger cheese was his kryptonite.
This feels so much like a story -line that couldve connected into the Superman story-line in Zack Snyder's JL, especially with the focus on Lois.
@@lynch3740 really? Lolz 😂
@lesliequarshie379 be honest, if you had 2 bad experiences with your brother. Having powers, would you want him to have powers again
They would died vs Doomsday, that’s all.
Stupid Lex, now noone can tell him where Jemma is😆.

The writers of the show could've came up with a better code name for Nat other than Starlight. I mean seriously?
Honestly if Jordan ends up leaving this family I would not blame him.
I was thinking the same thing, like in the last episode he leaves them to have a life somewhere else without them.
why? becuase he wasn't picked first in something. he's had preferential treatment over his brother the entire show. it's the first time he hasn't been picked. and if the thinks logically and took time to understand what loisnwas thinking he would realise that chosing the powerless brother was the rational choice given she thought both could die but jordan can defend himself which he did. plus the entire show he's been going on about how he's ready and can take care of himself. yes him and lois really do need to have a convo so both can explain their sides and how they're feeling, but him leaving will be seen as somewhat silly because he doesn't take accountability and constantly shifts the blame to others. granted this call situation is somewhat different, he didn't take the time to even try and understand. it's been shown that he always throws things back in ppls face when he's upset, which is wrong. eg when he calls lois a liar, when he goes off on Clark, when he called Sarah selfish for asking him to stop talking about the crash, and jon for being a drug addiction just because jon didn't want to tell him it was candice. and him straight up believing the man who killed his dad over his own mom makes no sense, he didn't even try to hear her out just believed a man he doesn't even know and even attacked him the day before
this episode was drunk......in the best way
I do feel bad for Jordan though
I think the original plan was to have jordan go superboy prime.
Jordan is an emotional punk. Needs to grow up
