It sounds so strange when I'm so used to the other version but hey if it's the version they originally wanted, I'm good with that.
This is the version that played on the radio and became famous..... so as far as I'm concerned.... it's the genuine article.
Anything else is an imposter ripoff version of the song.

This is the version she intended to be on the album. Her record label wanted every song on the track to be similar to bring me to life with the male rapping/whatever. She vehemently refused and in the end they settled on doing one song like that. I think this version is much better but that's just my opinion.

I understand why most people don't like the album version because of the male vocals. I love this version, I think it's incredible. But I will also always love the album version and it will always be my favorite version. I listened to it all the time since I was five years old. Love this version, but the album version is still amazing.

This is my favourite version of the song because the electric guitar is far more prominent and kick ass. And it's just Amy Lee singing. What more could you want?

I hated the male vocals on the album version. And so did Amy. In fact she basically went on strike and said she was just going to not do Evanescence at all because they tried to make her find a male singer for the group.

this version is not even in any of the stores in Nashville, TN, Evansville IN, Harrisonburg VA or Richmond VA.
I've even searched online but none of my new or old sources could find it.
once I was in LA and I searched every store I could find there and nothing.
It was just a demo. Never officially released but the band has said to feel free to download.
This is the song without the rap. Other original demos of the song have different guitar and more prominent electronics.

Just listen to what a young Polish girl (Aliki) did with this song on Britains Got Talent... breathtaking. She even outclassed Katherine Jenkins... some achievement.
