- Bring Me To Life by Evanescence without the Rap Vocals from the Fallen Album. This was a request and thought it would be fun to hear the song without the Rap. There is one part I could not remove for it would damage the centre vocals but it's minor. Either way I hope you Enjoy, Grab your headphones and give it a listen 🤟🏻 🖤

Fun fact: Evanescence didn't even want a rapper, they were forced to. Ended up fighting hard enough to just get one song with rap as part of the deal.

If I'm correct, they added the male vocals solely because the film was going to be included in the Daredevil soundtrack and they thought the song would appeal to guys more by including male vocals.
I guess, at the time, the industry was unaware that men can and will listen to a female lead rock band.
You have to remember at the time, Evanescence was one of the few examples of a female lead hard rock band to actually gain traction and the industry wanted to play it safe apparently.
Bands like Paramore, Halestorm, In This Moment, and The Pretty Reckless were either in their infancy or not a thing at that point.
Both versions are good, although I am so used to hearing the version made for the Daredevil soundtrack, it's kind of weird to listen to the song without the rapping.

It's likely because the rap parts were just shoehorned in. This song wasn't originally written with them in, they were added last minute because some idiot at the record label demanded it for marketing purposes.
The guy sounds more like a country musician than a rapper. And that’s an insult to country music
This version of BMTL is also know as the Bliss Mix. This was also featured as the second track of the BMTL single and was remastered for Synthesis

Although it’s interesting to hear without the rap and kinda cool but it also kinda sounds empty without it especially at the last pre Chorus, Nu metal was just that era of experimenting with different genres in the songs like imagine Linkin Park songs without Mike lol

Not to disparage this music, but in my opinion it's better with the rapper part. It makes the song sound more intense and not so empty, I think the decision to make this song a Linkin Park's "Copy" was a good decision that helped both the band and the music earn a place among the classics. Believe it or not It is because of the rap part that this song triumphed
While to a degree i agree about having both vocals in part that is only because we were first introduced to it that way.
Also there is a legit original version without the make vocal. It has more electronic influence and a solo

This is a rare example where both versions of the song are about as good as each other.
Fallen as an album actually has two songs with alternate versions, but unlike the "Band Version" of "My Immortal", which I wholeheartedly believe is the superior version, either version of "Bring Me To Life" is good.

That rap was so out of place and incongrous that it always runined the song for me. This is far superior.
