If I'm correct, they added the male vocals solely because the film was going to be included in the Daredevil soundtrack and they thought the song would appeal to guys more by including male vocals. I guess, at the time, the industry was unaware that men can and will listen to a female lead rock band. You have to remember at the time, Evanescence was one of the few examples of a female lead hard rock band to actually gain traction and the industry wanted to play it safe apparently. Bands like Paramore, Halestorm, In This Moment, and The Pretty Reckless were either in their infancy or not a thing at that point. Both versions are good, although I am so used to hearing the version made for the Daredevil soundtrack, it's kind of weird to listen to the song without the rapping.
I don't think so. You can clearly hear the cuts on the guys vocals. This is edited. The real one would've likely included a bridge by the same female singer in the rap part 🤷🏻♂️
It's likely because the rap parts were just shoehorned in. This song wasn't originally written with them in, they were added last minute because some idiot at the record label demanded it for marketing purposes.
@@AutomaticDoll And that's totally okay. You do you. Although, I do want to ask if maybe you can do a HQ instrumental of Welcome to the Black Parade or Helena by My Chemical Romance
Although it’s interesting to hear without the rap and kinda cool but it also kinda sounds empty without it especially at the last pre Chorus, Nu metal was just that era of experimenting with different genres in the songs like imagine Linkin Park songs without Mike lol
This is a rare example where both versions of the song are about as good as each other. Fallen as an album actually has two songs with alternate versions, but unlike the "Band Version" of "My Immortal", which I wholeheartedly believe is the superior version, either version of "Bring Me To Life" is good.
Not to disparage this music, but in my opinion it's better with the rapper part. It makes the song sound more intense and not so empty, I think the decision to make this song a Linkin Park's "Copy" was a good decision that helped both the band and the music earn a place among the classics. Believe it or not It is because of the rap part that this song triumphed
While to a degree i agree about having both vocals in part that is only because we were first introduced to it that way. Also there is a legit original version without the make vocal. It has more electronic influence and a solo

Fun fact: Evanescence didn't even want a rapper, they were forced to. Ended up fighting hard enough to just get one song with rap as part of the deal.
and when looking for a rapper they asked mike shinoda to rap on the song
@@uwu-71028 why did he say no though
@@BMTH-FAN I think he said he didnt wanted to work on anything that wasnt LP at the time

The song as it was meant to sound.
Literally, yes. Nice to see the version that's cleansed of studio meddling

@@giantrujillo2049they meant a song without any rap not that this is actually the original version
WOW IT WAY BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL AND NORMALLY I LIKE RAP PARTS TO METAL SONGS BUT IT SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER WITHOUT IT

The guy sounds more like a country musician than a rapper. And that’s an insult to country music

This version of BMTL is also know as the Bliss Mix. This was also featured as the second track of the BMTL single and was remastered for Synthesis
I love the bliss mix a lot. I decided to make my own version with some HQ vocals 🤟🏻🖤

@@AutomaticDoll Nice job!
I wish there was a version of the song with the chorus featuring both voices but then the bridge without the guy
Amy is staring into our souls 🖤🖤🖤
WHAT IS THIS PERFECTION?!?!? I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU 😭😭😭💗💗💗
The cleaner version. 🖤💙🖤
I LOVE THIS!! You are the absolute best, that was so fast. Sooo nice to feel like I'm experiencing the intended version of the song
I can t say i hated the rap part, but this is better! Even Amy aproves. Nice work!

you have no idea what ur talking about.
@@thelategamer. I have all the ideas
I agree, Bring Me To Life weirdly felt like hearing Linkin Park without Mike rapping
I can't fathom how any of yall consider that section rap.

Yes.
As it was always to be.
Without the male vocals.
I keep listening to the rap part! 🤯🤯🤯
I think the rap part is needed because it just fits to well.
@@victorhunter8900yeah true. I like the intensity it adds.
@@p4rtyjunk1e Probably why whenever I listen to this version, I always sing for Paul McCoy
im sing my heart out loud
Como debió ser desde siempre!!!!!
That rap was so out of place and incongrous that it always runined the song for me. This is far superior.

It is a good song with or without the rap
Removing the rap has elevated this, and I loved it before!
oh so good!
I like this without rap. I feel the song
so much better
I'm here years later to echo that Paul McCoy's rapping ruined this perfect song.

Ive always hated when pure bangers have a crappy rap insert for no cunting reason
Exellent¡¡
...so much better
Or just listen to the actual original one thats just amy anyway. Though i do get that musically and vocally its quite different
I can't say it's worse, but the energy is definitely lower. I don't think this version would have hooked as hard.
I like the rap version
Then go listen to it. I'm glad someone downloaded the original version.
Essa Música me impulsionar a se Matar ❤❤❤❤❤❤
how it should be
Kaya ada yg kurang gak sii
I'm not ashamed to say that I prefer the rap part to be included. Lol
It feels empty without it
This version is suitable for Eurovision Finland
So much better without the rappers voice attempting to mix with hers

Mucho mejor sin ese tipo gritando como loco.
It feels empty without the rap.
This is the true song without that hiphop garbage
Sorry, but this needs rap, it sounds so flat
Hate me but i prefer it with the rap 🤷🏼♂️
It sounds un complete
some are used to the song with the rap and some are not 😅
Much, much better. The rap part made it cheesy.
So much better
