I’m going to add one more thing. My background is in advertising so perhaps I pay more attention to the visuals. But I really must praise the work Eli put into the lighting on this one. So much switching of colors on that background - blues and purples to hot pink to red and orange yet much of it all at once but so clean! No muddying the colors where you could get overlaps and the showing ‘bulbs’ were even different colors. Really adds to the part where the Layne/Geoff rhythm drop came in.
LOLOLOL! SPOOKY SEASON OPENER!!!! One grand thing about VoicePlay is they introduce me to songs that I don't know; especially Disney stuff. It's not anything that I would voluntarily watch or listen to. And, yet, I enjoy and replay the VoicePlay videos. Now THAT is magic.
Wow! That was strange to watch with the video flipped! When they filmed this they had four generations of Voiceplay baritones on set. Layne was their original baritone. Then he switched to beatboxer and Tony came on board. (He was here to help with the setup and direction). Then J was their next tenor and Cesar came on when J left for the Navy. Hellfire was the first (and only so far) video to have all four in the video!
It was weird having it reversed! Also this is the first to feature both Cesar and J. None, which ended up inspiring a playlist of songs that feature both them of in them, I just love their voices together! And I CANNOT WAIT to add their Patreon drop today to that list! Whoooooo! (I don't consider that a spoiler because J. None usually does their Halloween videos with them.)💙
This is the song I always tell people to listen to so they can understand how Geoff and Layne work together as subwoofers and a drum kit. They go off the rails at the end. As much as I loved this one, it’s got NOTHING on this year’s Halloween performance. It just dropped on Patreon last night.
@@Chibihugs we did something similar to that “dance” in high school to that song. Their creativity knows no bounds whatsoever. I’ve listened to it about 20 times already.
I was so glad J None had come back for this one. He's perfect for it. It was a bit odd seeing the video in reverse so the Voodoo sign was backwards. Eli and Cesar were on opposite sides of the table. You do give good reaction and analysis.
This is the first video J None did as a non member. After he came back from the US Navy boot camp. Four baritones were involved with this.... J None, Cesar, Layne and Tony Wakim (former member and co-owner of Pattycake Productions with Layne. Directed this).
Great analysis as always. Loved the humor in this one! Eli, J, and Cesar chewed up the scene with their facial and body movements. Musically fantastic as always. As supporting spirits, Layne and Geoff added a lot of drama! J None was perfect in his role.
Yes, Dr. F puts a spell on Lawrence, you can see him sprinkle powder on him. The implication being he's using voodoo to make Eli and Cesar to sing what he wants them to. Love this one. Love Cesar and J. None singing together! 💙
Spooky Season is officially here! There are so many offerings for the month, not only from VoicePlay but others as well. In face VoicePlay' Patreon teased us with something hopefully releasing soon that has been a long time coming. You can truly appreciate the fun VoicePlay puts into their themed songs, and Halloween is no exception. Looking forward to you visiting and perhaps revisiting things you may have already seen for this Scary Season! 👻🕸🎃
I think I saw Layne say that Geoff convinced him that J None would be a better choice for this one but I think Geoff was originally intended to this one.
As always i found something new when watching your reaction. Thx for this 😊

What an intro
Heya, Klown!💙

Your opening made me laugh! Thank you for opening spooky season. Thank you for reacting/analysing this offering from Voice Play.
Now I need to see if he reacted to Grim Grinning Ghosts 👻
J had left the group to sing wiith the navy at this point but came back on his first leave to do this. And who else could have done it, really?
Thru me off with the video in the mirror image. Love Spooky Season!
The one time Geoff didn't get roped into being the villain.

Great reaction.
I have watched this video so much that it's weird seeing it reversed.
Thank you for that wonderful intro 😄 and a excellent analysis as usual. Happy spooky month Dan !
"He sing thru Eli" you mean when he use the "possession powder" on him?
