    I love how you allow the design and machining do all the talking. 👌👏👏👍😀

    This is art and a lot more than a tool. If u sell I would buy. A hell of a lot better than what some people pay for painting as art.

    This is beautiful. I'm using this as both inspiration and reference for my own attempts to make my own set of screwdrivers in the upcoming months.

    Well done! May I recommend a faceplate to hold similar jobs? Easy DIY project.

    Amazing! Any reason you decided to use loctite for the top ring instead of threading it?

    • @makeormend8450
      @makeormend8450  Год назад +4

      Just for ease of manufacture really. If I were to make it again I would probably thread it so I can take it apart for maintenance.

    Ur bench top has seen better days bro.. LOL That just means it's had a tonne of work done on it I guess.. I'm only joking btw mate. This is a really sweet screwdriver btw..

      Cheers, don’t worry I took them off whenever the machine was running. Don’t normally wear them but it was a very cold day.

      @Make or Mend That's good ,perhaps mention in another video just to discourage others ,I've seen a nasty drill press accident involving gloves ,and a wedding band ,stripped the skin right off the finger, broke two fingers and the wrist ,

    Tell us about the lathe itself. And would you recommend? Thanks.

    • @makeormend8450
      @makeormend8450  Год назад

      The lathe is a “WM180V” which I bought second hand. It seems really solid and well-built for a small lathe although it is 15 years old (made in 2008) so I’m not sure if the new ones are still as good. For example the gears are steel but a lot of the new lathes have plastic gears. The motor is fine most of the time, but sometimes struggles with tougher materials or taking a large depth of cut.

    Beautiful work! Where did you source the screw driver blades that fit in the handle?

    • @makeormend8450
      @makeormend8450  Год назад

      Bought them off eBay since they were only a few £ and had a standard sized shank. I originally planned to make them myself but it would have been difficult to do the keys without a milling machine.

    • @makeormend8450
      @makeormend8450  Год назад

      Thank you for the interest. Unfortunately I do not plan to sell them as it takes a long time to make by hand meaning it would not be cost effective unless I charged a lot for them.
