Beautiful work, Mads. My only question would be this: why would anyone "dislike" this marvelous collection of images from your incredible imagination and vision. I think you are quickly becoming my favorite all-around photographer. Thank you for sharing your gift to the world.
Awesome abstracts. I think I'm in love with abstract photography now. I've been shooting some ICM and landscapes. I don't have a macro lens yet but I'll do with what I have this far.
yet another gem Mads! I found this very interesting as I sometime struggle with what and why is good abstract!! your video has helped sort my brain out!
Couple things: 1. Mads, this is one of my absolite favourite vids, and your work herein is brilliant. 2. Going on a photography workshop with you is on my bucket list. 3. To the (as of the time of this posting) 4 people who down voted this video: I feel sad for you 🙄
Thank you so much for all the kind words, Jamie :) Feel sad for them. Imagine having a life where a video like this makes you feel sad/frustrated/angry/disappointed enough to down vote... Why not just unsubscribe...
These kinds of videos are so helpful to me as a beginning photographer.....plenty of prints to explain/backup what you're saying. I have been fascinated by patterns in ice and can now call my photos what they are: abstract! Thanks for the great video.
I love abstracts (may that be an abstract photograph or an abstract painting) as I love black and white photography... I already started my 1st black and white photography and uploaded it in my channel(i know my photos are not the best). I love looking at the images of abstract and black and white. I felt these two have something in common which is to let your mind work harder and interpret the images not just literally as you see them but to interpret it deeper and look beyond a greater meaning of the art... I will start practicing soon on how to take an abstract photograph.
very inspiring!!!! abstact photography is a real good contrast to this epic landscape photographs which you can find everywehere on the social media platforms. Thanx a lot!
Abstract photos are a good go to when the scenery flat out sucks or isn’t interesting. Good info Peter. Hope to nail some abstracts when I visit Iceland in June.
Some great shots in there Mads ! Good game to practice when the light isn't great for classical or grand vistas, or while waiting on location. Excellent exercise for photographers eyes... 👍
Wow! Awesome video and spectacular content! I have always wanted to do landscape photography, verses portraits and people, because of the beauty in nature that I have seen and have always wanted to share with others. And in that natural beauty I am drawn again and again to the abstract elements and patterns and textures I see and are amazed at. I experience a sense of awe and wonder that I can not look away from. I so want others to experience the same. I hope to follow your work and glean the skills to share the beauty I see in creation. Film forever, and digital until the next technological breakthrough! Thanks for sharing your work and passion.
Hello Mad, I am a long time follower and must say that I just loved those 3 images of the ice , FANTASTIC. Not just do I enjoy your images, I may add one the best landscape channel on RUclips, but I also enjoy your style of narration. Great work. work overall .
Amazing! I just discovered your channel off a link on F-Stoppers. You have a new fan. I love your commentary on these images. I can't wait to view more of your information, but this video was so inspirational that I need to get out and shoot right now! Thank you for the inspiration.
Your explaining skill is simply great , and appreciable . The way you clarify the concepts with showing pictures providing neat idea ,is mesmerizing 👍👍
I just love abstracts. These are the photos people put on their walls. Amazing work Mads. They don't do well on social media, usually, but nevertheless they are so nice.
Just spectacular ! I never been to Iceland , but hopefully one day I will. I simply love the glacier shot at 18:14sec.Can I ask you where was it ? It's like you said: simply fascinating.
Stunning images, Mads. You have given me inspiration so that I can get out of the house and keep shooting. The quality of the prints that I purchased from your website has exceeded others that I follow online. Your printing vendor did well. Thanks.
Stunning work Mads. I am a fan of your work, but if I were a fan of your work with a little extra cash I'd be putting a few of these on my wall. I particularly enjoy the curves in sand balanced with pools of water, the bubbles in ice, and the triptych of the glacier rivers. Magnificent. You've also done beautiful work with the ash streaks in ice from Iceland and the canyons in Arizona. This is an area of your work is a pleasant surprise.
The abstract images without any indication of scale appeal most to my imagination. You have several great photos here which leave the viewer wondering whether it's a mile or a millimeter.
Another excellent informative video. I have enjoyed abstract photography for many years. I love the series of three shots. Thank you for sharing. You work always inspires me, for that I am thankful.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. It had me going back into my catalog to process images I have taken over the year of various abstracts and also find abstracts in larger vista photographs.
I recently found some interesting patterns in the water drops formed on the surface my car roof after being waxed. The droplets even reflected the trees above the car in an interesting distorted way. I loved your abstracts in the sand patterns. Great video and extremely interesting how many natural materials can be used to photograph patterns. Very nice examples that you used. Thank you.
I loved your abstract photographs! Like you, I generally do not go out specifically looking to shoot abstract photographs, but I try to remain aware of the possibilities for abstract images as I shoot "regular" landscape shots, and I've managed to take some images I'm quite pleased with - none as stunning as yours, though!
I'm drawn to diagonals, triangles, and symmetry in my own intimate landscapes and urban architectural photography. I love that globular ice photo. Question: how do you trigger those remote selfies like the last Iceland image? I see no reference to any radio-controlled shutter release. Unlikely it was a self-timer based on the distance. Phone app controlling your Sony? If so, what is its range? Thanks.
Abstract photography is a really interesting and eye opening way of looking to nature. I try to do that more and more in my photography. Really good video and even better photograhps! ;-) I really like that you often have a 'series' of two or three photo's. Virkelig godt gjort!
I love all your photos you have a great eye as always for color and depth. On the other hand I would say that these types of abstract although beautiful to me are not very artistic because you are simply finding neat objects in places that are quite rare and photographing them, especially drone shots which are so fascinating but as far as artistic it’s not very difficult nor does it take a real artistic talent compared to other abstract photography or art in general. I don’t see a lot of artistic talent necessary to find a great shot where as there are much more difficult places and scenes to arrange into an abstract that can look just as or more beautiful but have more inherent beauty or worth because you know that they were found by a true artistic eye likes great detective solving a mystery out of very sparse clues you have to find the abstract out of the ordinary. If that makes sense. It early for me right now. I guess I see it somewhere between a great minimal and a great abstract that the art of abstract has to be derived. Not sure that I’ve articulated my point clearly at all but.
Beautiful work! Your delightful presentation confirmed for me that there are other photographers like me who enjoy the abstract beauty in nature, Thank you.
Stunning images Mads ........ my favorite genre is "Abstract Vistas". I like to take/make "Clean and Resembling Abstracts" but viewers are finding my abstract pictures more difficult to appreciate. Looking forward to your Norwegian videos ;) .
Absolutely brilliant video, Mads 👊🏻. Some amazing images! Really loved the ice images that look like planetary systems 😍. Can’t wait for your upcoming Norway videos 😉😍
Great photos! I definitely have an interest in photographing abstract images. Your presentation convinces me that I must search for and photograph beautiful images such as yours, if I can match the beauty of your images. Wonderful presentation.
Great video showing so much inspiring ways to capture abstract images. The last image is amazing👌 You are challenging yourself to surpass this in 2020👍
Loved the images Mads, so many different expressions and thoughts generated from your images. Some of the images were like fossils in time thats locked the moment in for the viewer to see. Really great episode this week and loved the e-book as well 👍
Love abstract photography. It really has the ability to make one feel uncomfortable at times depending on the pattern but also so very soothing
There is beauty around only you need to have eyes to see them. Stunning photos.
And that comes with practice and the right mind set ;)
I've started exploring something I'm typically drawn to yet haven't pursued...just tinkered with. Abscape photography. Wonderful work Mads, thanks!
I love abstract photography. These were absolutely stunning!
Very inspiring video on Abstract Photography
I feel such a kindred spirit connection thankyou for sharing
Awesome photos and explanations behind them.
Great work love abstract you have given me some ideas for my own work
Great work Mads! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful work, Mads. My only question would be this: why would anyone "dislike" this marvelous collection of images from your incredible imagination and vision. I think you are quickly becoming my favorite all-around photographer. Thank you for sharing your gift to the world.

Nice. as you say, it is pleasing to the eye and the brain. Beautiful.

Just excellent. Thank you for the inspiration!
Love your work
Abstract photos are a good go to when the scenery flat out sucks or isn’t interesting. Good info Peter. Hope to nail some abstracts when I visit Iceland in June.
Haha yeah, but I'd argue that shouldn't be the default way of getting abstract photography. Just like you don't save a bad photo by turning it B&W ;)
These are amazing Mads. Makes me want to give Abstract a try!
Fantastiska bilder Mads! Speciellt isbilderna...
This is a great video about abstract photo, very inspiring, thank you Mads ! 💫
The drone captures the dendritic drainage patterns extremely well...great images.
My god Mads the three ice tree rose shots wow. And the rest are all so so good you really are one of the best photographers for my taste.
Thank you very, very much, Paul!
Inspiring! Thank you.
Amazing photos, great stuff! I appreciate your enthusiasm, very infectious. Thank you very much for sharing!
Beautiful set of Abstracts, you should put together a nice photo book with them
Really nice shots. I like your photos 👍
Great collections!
Some great shots in there Mads ! Good game to practice when the light isn't great for classical or grand vistas, or while waiting on location. Excellent exercise for photographers eyes... 👍
Tremendous images Mads. A side of your work that deserves its own exhibition or book!
Thank you so much, Michael! Means a lot! For now it has its own gallery ;)

Wow My prefered photo was the last one. Really suberb
Wonderful video as always Mads. Lots of food for thought, abstract photography is NOT something I have ever done, but will in the future.
Beautiful!
Amazing work Mads..... I really enjoyed the video. Thanks
Amazing photos give me a bit of inspiration I would love to take photos like these but I am never going to be able to to any of these places ever.
So inspirational.

work overall .
Very inspiring, Mads. Thank you sooo much for opening windows to others.
You are very welcome! :)
Stunning and relates well to your other video about finding beauty where you live. But it helps to think and see in the abstract.
Amazing! I just discovered your channel off a link on F-Stoppers. You have a new fan. I love your commentary on these images. I can't wait to view more of your information, but this video was so inspirational that I need to get out and shoot right now! Thank you for the inspiration.

Great video and amazing photos! Watching this made me realize that I have more abstract photos than I realized. Excellent work and tips, thank you!
Very inspiring video. Thank you.

Hi Mads Peter,
Very inspirational video. An incentive to look at the landscape differently.
The abstract images without any indication of scale appeal most to my imagination. You have several great photos here which leave the viewer wondering whether it's a mile or a millimeter.
Thank you!
Wow, the shots with the bubbles in the ice, looks so organic! Almost like jellyfish or something.
Thanks, Michael. Yes, I can surely see that resemblance too :)
Another excellent informative video. I have enjoyed abstract photography for many years. I love the series of three shots. Thank you for sharing. You work always inspires me, for that I am thankful.
Thank you very much, Robert! 🙏
Dear Mads, I hope you know, that you have the eye of an angel.
Thank you so much for such kind words, Karin!
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. It had me going back into my catalog to process images I have taken over the year of various abstracts and also find abstracts in larger vista photographs.
These are fantastic shots. Very inspiring. Gonna have to try this in a serious way.
Epic Abstracts!
Mads some of these are amongst the best images I've ever seen.
Thank you so, so much! Means a lot :)

Very cool! I need to try more of this..... thanks for sharing...
You're welcome! It's fun to play around with :)
time to open the eyes and mind a bit more
Epic abstractness - abstract “epicness”. ;-) I very much enjoyed this episode.
Abstract photography is a really interesting and eye opening way of looking to nature. I try to do that more and more in my photography. Really good video and even better photograhps! ;-) I really like that you often have a 'series' of two or three photo's. Virkelig godt gjort!

It'll be hard, but hopefully possible ;)
Another amazing video with great content! 👍
Thank you very much, Cosmin!
Watching the video created a thought in my head, "use the crop tool you might get some abstract photos"
Loved the images Mads, so many different expressions and thoughts generated from your images. Some of the images were like fossils in time thats locked the moment in for the viewer to see. Really great episode this week and loved the e-book as well 👍
Thank you so much, Jim! Very happy to hear such kind words :)
