I appreciate that so much more work went into this video than I can realistically imagine. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to you, Thomas, for your dedication to your craft. Your hours of toil, distilled into videos like these, are really a treat to us who watch you and wish we could get out and pursue our photographic passions with as much opportunity, zeal, and expertise as yourself. I can't help but model my aspirations for my future and continued photographic career after your example. Please do not stop.

Did anybody tell you before the Iceland wildlife shoot that rare animal siting shoots are one of the most "endorphin producing" experiences you will ever encounter... aka.. addicting!!! Now here you are, landscape photographer, going for it full throttle in Mongolia of all places... I would expect you, definitely, have no regrets about your expanded repertoire. Go for it!!! We all certainly enjoy living your experiences through your personal lens! Cheers!!!

What beautiful creatures they are! I remember watching a BTS mini documentary for BBC's Planet Earth, in which a guy was living in a tiny hut for several weeks, just waiting for a snow leopard to appear so he could get the shot. You're very lucky to have seen one so quickly! I just realised that I'm now 24 videos behind current, having got out of the habit of RUclips for a few months - but I look forward to catching up with your latest escapades! :)

Thomas, I am so glad that you had a chance to make this trip and to take us along. It was good that you got some magnificent shots of the snow leopard on the first day. The pressure was off. Now you could shoot anything you wanted to without feeling guilty and possibly get even more snow leopard shots later. The landscape pictures were otherworldly. Beautiful beyond words. I also appreciated the shots around camp and inside the yurt. The food made me hungry just looking at the pictures. What a wonderful adventure. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

About 10 years ago hiking literally right on the Mongolian-Russian border I saw their tracks in the snow, unexpected and welcome. I have a Mongolian friend who was raised in the same general area, the Alti. One day he was walking along leading his horse and came face to face with one. It just flicked its tail and walked off 🤷‍♂️. I’d love to see one. Perhaps I should make an effort this summer when I’m in Mongolia again.

Fantastic and exciting to see this video, beauitiful light and textures 🙂 Extra fun for me, since I have seen a lot from Mongolia before, since my employers have previously been missionaries in Mongolia. Right now at the end of January, they are visiting their slipper factory. Which creates jobs for them in Mongoila, a poor country, and produces high-quality slippers for cold feets all over our country, here in Norway. Their long tradition with wool makes them skilled.

Altay is a very beautiful place, indeed. I'm glad that Thomas shared it with his audience, probably more people will visit and see those mountains. It lays across four countries - Mongolia, China, Kazakhstan and Russia. I'm glad that a good part of it is from the Russian side and I can go there any time. I've been there once, in last September, and it was so exiting, I was almost jumping on the driver seat of my car while driving through mountains because of views that opened to my sight. I will definitely return to this region. A great place from whatever country of the four you approach it.
