Never been a fan of coffee pods machines. I remember getting a Dolce Gusto machine for present and was overly exited to use it. At that time I was a rookie into the coffee world but got bored by it pretty quickly because of the watery taste and that they got quite expensive since i drink many cups each day. I still have the machine but only uses it for warm chocolate.
I tried a while ago I was sent Jamaican blue mountain green beans and probably did a terrible job using a sort of frying pan on the hob...I enjoyed the results but it's a pain with the amount of smoke produced while roasting...I heard you can use a pop corn maker to roast beans so may try that at some point because a proper roaster costs a fortune and green beans are not as easy as roasted to buy...have you ever roasted beans?. Here's the roasting videos... ruclips.net/video/rF8qQRWdUlM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/ok5LEKeWZGw/видео.html
@@dmcerrrmmmm Yes, I had a birthday present of 2kg of green beans, 4 varieties, from Rave coffee. I used an old pan. First batch was fantastic, second batch was terrible. It's so easy to burn the flat side of the bean. Good fun, but I don't think I'll be buying all my coffee unroasted just yet.
@johnwelbourn3811 yes you've got to keep moving them constantly to get some sort of even roast but like you said they always burn on the flat side...like you I enjoyed attempting it but thought it best left to the people who have the proper equipment and know what they are doing.

You are right....my machine has been stored away for months unused for the same reasons.
Thank god i haven't got a Nespresso machine. Completely off topic, have you ever tried roasting your own coffee beans DMC?
